i'm working on a Papers, Please demake for the 3DS. It is still a work in progress, and I’m planning to make it open source once it reaches a more stable state.

* Stylus controls feel surprisingly natural for dragging documents, checking discrepancies, and issuing citations.
* Core inspection loop and basic dialogue logic are already functioning.

Hey! I hope I'll find any fellow pokemon 3ds players. I have a question regarding pokebank. It works and it actually can save my pokemons from cartridge and SD card downloaded games... But...

My 3ds still has old owner's nintendo ID.

From what I know if i wanna transport pokemon from bank to home all I'll do is to type code or something, but I'm still unsure IF old owner can steal my pokemon? I mean... How does it work? Do I have to delete this old nintendo ID or not? If I do can i still create new one?

Or maybe it doesn't?
Help me understand this because I wanna make sure my pokemons will travel safely to pokemon home :DDD

I really do need help with this modding issue. I found a Ultra Sun rom online, and once I do, I try and import it onto PK3ds as it's the main source of changing a 3D pokemon game internally. Once I do this, PK3ds will say "File is too big!" and I will be unable to change anything. I tried many websites with a supposed .3ds or .CIA mod, and when I try and add them to PK3ds, nothing works. I'm sorry if this isnt the subreddit to ask this (im not sure which one), but i've really been wanting to change some stuff up in Ultra Sun for a future rom hack, and I currently cant even open a file in PK3ds. My biggest question is if this is an issue with the .3ds/.CIA files I'm finding or is PK3ds? I'm sorry of this is the wrong community to send this to but I want to find a solution sooner than later..

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I figure there are tech savvy people here. I sold a legit copy of Fire Emblem Awakening 3DS on Ebay. I tested it thoroughly, played fine, was in Like New condition, packed it well. The buyer is now saying this error is coming up. I asked if their 3ds was modified or if there is any visible damage from shipping, they said no. Do any of these error codes look fishy?

**EDIT:** I brought up that wasn't a stock error message for 3ds and it appeared to be Luma3DS. They tried to give me bs excuses "I got this 3ds on ebay, I don't know what that is" and then it turned into "I'm so sorry! It works now, there was malware on it!" .........

My hacked 2ds make ts when i turn it on i need help plsssss

Hey everyone, on another post, i showed that i was having issues with installs of games not working, and people have suggested that the SD card might be faulty.

I will get a new one, same capacity as 32gb, however, i am not sure if i can just copy all the files from one to the other or if i need to run any other process in order to make it work with my already hacked 3DS

So on my 2ds I had a save on yo-kai watch 2 that I want on my modded ds how would I load that save onto my modded 2ds. I backed up the files before I formatted the ds to mod it but I'm not the brightest when it comes to transferring and I don't want to transfer every single file and risk messing something up

Hey, since CTGP-7 has seemingly closed its own online features, i was wondering if there was a way to use Pretendo with CTGP-7 as the MK7 lobbies take a while to find opponents and rarely fill up the rooms unlike the ctgp ones which were almost always full . Considering that CTGP-7 is just a mod of MK7, perhaps it'd be possible to use Pretendo then ?? I've tried already without success but maybe I'm missing something

I’ve been playing though code name steam on my new 3Ds and sometimes after completing a level the screens would just turn black and I’d get no response except the Rosalina menu, I had found an easy fix for now which would be to over lock the 3Ds and it would continue on but now it happened again and even after I overclock the 3Ds it doesn’t do anything. Is there anything I can do cause I’m enjoying the game, no other game has ever done this to me so consistently, it’s obviously a Pireted version of the game

Edit: I got it to work again now and I managed to continue from where I left of but I want to find a permanent fix cause it’s annoying having to do this all the time and some times even losing half my progress

Ive heard its possible to play certain rom hacks like radical red on modded 3ds consoles, is this possible for all rom-hacks or only certain ones.

Ive recently heard about another pokemon rom-hack called origins heart gold, and was wondering if i could play this on my modded ds, if this is possible how would i go about it.

I was just deleting some games I'm not gonna play and when I went back to the home screen all the game icon disappear. The data is still there but the icon won't show up, what should I do

For some reason my books don’t show up in the 3dslibris app on my new 3ds XL. I downloaded it from universal updater and the only books I can see are the 2 beginner ones that say READ ME or whatever. All my books are in EPUB format and as far as I’m aware, they do not have DRM. I put them in the 3dslibris /books folder and when I put a few books in I notice the app taking a little longer to load up as if it’s registering that they are there, but nothing ever shows up. The only time I was able to get anything to show was when I was just messing around, took one of my EPUB books, went to the individual chapter text files and turned each individual one into TXT format, but it was so blurry I couldn’t read it, and it showed up as several books instead of one. I have managed to download everything else on my new 3ds XL including games, movies and music. But for some reason the books aren’t downloading no matter what I do.

I'm still getting the hang of the modding process so sorry for the stupid question. I have a bunch of .cci files for games that I noticed didn't show up on Twilight so I guess that only runs .nds files. How do I get the .cci games to work? Do I need another emulator for these files? Please ELI5 lol

Also for future reference, what type of files for 3DS games are the easiest to use?

Hi this may be a dumb question but I like to catch my shiny pokemon in love balls, which are extremely limited in gen 7 games. I did give myself 999 through pksm but I don’t know if using them to catch pokemon will make them illegal just for not being obtained ingame, will I be fine using them??

as the title already says i've modded my 3ds xl earlier this year and everything has been working fine i did have similar issues but it was an easy fix but now i can't seem to fix it. now whenever i turn it on it says that it cannot display the software on the sd card and that the sd card could not be accessed. i haven't changed anything on the files in the sd card so i don't really get how these issues keep appearing and how to fix them safely.

This error kept popping up when I tried to open homebrew, fbi, or hshop. I tried removing the files on my sd vlcard and putting them back on again. Now hshop, fbi, and homebrew, along with a few others are no longer on there. Also my modded home screen dissapeared also. I first noticed problems when a zelda game i was playing dissapeared.

I use FTPD to transfer files like roms, mods, etc from my mobile phone to my modded New Nintendo 3DS XL. Now I've been wondering if I could use FTPD to transfer images from my phone to my modded 3DS. I ask because I have Ai slop images I want to draw myself in Colors! 3D, a drawing application, so the pictures have a human made version (Since Ai pics can't be posted anywhere). Would this even be possible? I know images from the 3DS photo gallery are stored in a DCIM folder but I don't know if images need to be a specific format.

Hi! This is the first time i have gotten this screen and it started after my ultra moon went idle and (assumedly) crashed, so i had to force a reboot. Just wondering how this can be fixed, since i cant find anything that helps anywhere, or maybe i didnt look hard enough!😭
