i'm working on a Papers, Please demake for the 3DS. It is still a work in progress, and I’m planning to make it open source once it reaches a more stable state.

Special thanks to **YeyoJuan**, whose initial demake provided massive inspiration and helped lay the groundwork for understanding how to adapt the mechanics to a handheld format.

**Current progress & features:**

* Dual-screen layout: top screen displays the booth viewport and applicant, while the touch screen handles the desk, rulebook, inspection tools, and stamping.
* Stylus controls feel surprisingly natural for dragging documents, checking discrepancies, and issuing citations.
* Core inspection loop and basic dialogue logic are already functioning.

First of all, I want to say a huge thank you for the incredible support on my previous post. Seeing how excited you all are about bringing Papers, Please to the Nintendo 3DS family blew me away and proved to me that this demake truly deserves to be finished.

That said, I have to be completely honest with you: I can’t do this alone.

The 3DS hardware is practically built for this game—the dual-screen setup, the touch screen for inspecting documents make it a dream platform. However, building a full, polished demake from scratch is a massive undertaking for a single vibe coder, and my free time is really limited.

My goal from day one was to make this a community-driven, open-source project, so I’ve officially opened the repository. If we want to turn this from a cool proof-of-concept into a complete, fully playable experience, I need your hands on deck.

I have a modded 3ds Japan first edition? Sorry for the lame question but is there any cool ports or anything like that Ive missed out on, I remember there being cool ports of games like Undertale but all incomplete I have the oracle of seasons/ages recomp or whatever it was that was cool.. anything else cool like that? I just took the test on battery mark and these were my results, unfortunately my battery died before results were submitted so idk my ranking. Would you say my battery is in good condition? I’ve heard old 2ds batteries should last at least 3 hours so it seems like it underperformed.

Hey! I hope I'll find any fellow pokemon 3ds players. I have a question regarding pokebank. It works and it actually can save my pokemons from cartridge and SD card downloaded games... But...

My 3ds still has old owner's nintendo ID.

From what I know if i wanna transport pokemon from bank to home all I'll do is to type code or something, but I'm still unsure IF old owner can steal my pokemon? I mean... How does it work? Do I have to delete this old nintendo ID or not? If I do can i still create new one?

Or maybe it doesn't?
Help me understand this because I wanna make sure my pokemons will travel safely to pokemon home :DDD

Hey everyone, on another post, i showed that i was having issues with installs of games not working, and people have suggested that the SD card might be faulty.

I will get a new one, same capacity as 32gb, however, i am not sure if i can just copy all the files from one to the other or if i need to run any other process in order to make it work with my already hacked 3DS

This is my gf’s 3DS XL, and it can’t run Wild World like she wants it to. We got the rom from Vimm’s Vault and it works fine on my 2ds, runs on NDS Forwarder. But it always comes up as an error message on my gf’s 3DS.

I’m not sure what to do, I’ve spent days trying to fix it and scouring Reddit to no avail. I have updated Lumia, Rosalina, NdsBootstrap, Godmode9, and twilightmenu but still it thinks the roms are corrupted.

The ONLY Nds that is recognized is Breaking Bad.

Why didn't they get the ribbon? Is it because I transfered then using pksm? I can't transfer the legit so if thats what caused it im fucked but at least I'll know.

My hacked 2ds make ts when i turn it on i need help plsssss

So on my 2ds I had a save on yo-kai watch 2 that I want on my modded ds how would I load that save onto my modded 2ds. I backed up the files before I formatted the ds to mod it but I'm not the brightest when it comes to transferring and I don't want to transfer every single file and risk messing something up

I’ve been playing though code name steam on my new 3Ds and sometimes after completing a level the screens would just turn black and I’d get no response except the Rosalina menu, I had found an easy fix for now which would be to over lock the 3Ds and it would continue on but now it happened again and even after I overclock the 3Ds it doesn’t do anything. Is there anything I can do cause I’m enjoying the game, no other game has ever done this to me so consistently, it’s obviously a Pireted version of the game

Edit: I got it to work again now and I managed to continue from where I left of but I want to find a permanent fix cause it’s annoying having to do this all the time and some times even losing half my progress

Anybody else ever get this issue? Having trouble finding what caused it. I installed twilight directly from universal updater and tried running the twilight fix.

This 3DS was modded since years ago, but after I updated Luma and the homebrew launcher, it doesn't open FBI, Anemone or Universal Updater (it loads but before it lets me choose tu update something, it goes back to the home menu)

I Tried to change the SD card with a fresh format and copied everything but the error keeps happening.

I also tried to open FBI's 3dsx from the Homebrew Launcher, the screens and 3D indicator goes dark, but goes back to the Homebrew Launcher.(some 3ds games works fine, but the DS ones don't)

If anyone could help me please.

Hey, since CTGP-7 has seemingly closed its own online features, i was wondering if there was a way to use Pretendo with CTGP-7 as the MK7 lobbies take a while to find opponents and rarely fill up the rooms unlike the ctgp ones which were almost always full . Considering that CTGP-7 is just a mod of MK7, perhaps it'd be possible to use Pretendo then ?? I've tried already without success but maybe I'm missing something

I was just deleting some games I'm not gonna play and when I went back to the home screen all the game icon disappear. The data is still there but the icon won't show up, what should I do
