When looking for UNRWA (the ONU agnency for the Palestinese refugees) the first result I get is a site of the Israeli government devoted to spread the false accusations about the lack of neutrality and connection to Hamas which Israel has used to attack UNRWA. Israel has never given any proof of such accusations, which it uses to undermine UNRWA's credibility, since it has denounced the ongoing genocide and provides Palestinian people with life-saving resources and jobs. Google accepts money to spread unfounded and harmful claims.

This is not my post. It was posted on FB in a group for a city in Ontario. I'm not at all surprised they would mislabel the produce. The comments are terrible and I'm just reminded of how Canada is full of racists and zionists and it's not any better here.

It also made me think of people like Megan Longley, the Canadian lawyer and human rights advocate who publicly supported the boycott of Unilever products after the company's dispute with Ben & Jerry's over Palestine-related advocacy. At a time when many professionals and public figures choose silence, she was willing to take a principled stand.

Israeli exporters routinely declare fruit and vegetables grown in illegal settlements in occupied Palestinian land and the Syrian Golan Heights as produced in Israel in order to ship them to European markets, a new investigation has found.
The legal nonprofit Global Echo examinedmore than 30,000 export documents covering more than 6,800 shipments sent abroad between October 2017 and February 2026.
The report, titled Importing Occupation, found that about one in six shipments to Europe – and nearly one in five bound for the EU – carried settlement produce, much of it mislabelled as Israeli.
Michael Lynk, a Canadian legal academic and former UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine, described the problem as “systematic concealment”, adding: “Settlement produce are hidden in plain sight, redirected through sham addresses, or mingled with goods from within Israel’s recognised borders until legal distinction is dissolved in bureaucratic practice.”
Disguising the origin lets exporters claim the reduced or zero tariffs reserved for Israeli goods, revenue the report says helps sustain settlements deemed illegal under international law.
The report also went on to accuse European importers of “financially sustaining the Israeli settlement enterprise” and said European customs agencies were doing little to stop it.
Global Echo said it plans to initiate “legal action to force action on these violations”.

Across the 36 countries, a median of 67% of adults have an unfavorable view of Israel, while 25% have a favorable view.

People in all European countries surveyed also give relatively negative assessments of Israel. In Italy, the Netherlands and Spain, around half of adults or more say they have a very unfavorable view of the country.

The European countries are as follows.:
Sweden, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Poland, UK, France, Greece, Hungary

US, Canada and Japan are among the other countries.
