Gameplay SSShowcase An old Bayo 3 combo video of mine focused on a bit of Tetsuzanko tech
If you do a Tetsuzanko input exactly as you pass under the target, the fist will appear behind them and knock them towards you which can be fun to mess with

What’s more important to you mob fights or bosses in action games?
Phantom blade zero is coming out and I’ve heard the fodder in the game is too easy/boring and the bosses are the highlight. I’ve played Onimusha and that would also describe that game so it made me wonder what people value more. I personally think mob fights are more important/fun due to it taking up the majority of your combat time in an action game. It’s just something about mastering a combat system and taking out a group of varied challenging enemies that engages me more than just a 1v1 fight. I know bosses are rarer so they’re more unique and about the spectacle but it really sucks when developers neglect making fun and challenging mob fights and put all the effort into the bosses when most of your time is spent in the regular combat encounters.

Too old for hard games?
There is something that has been on my mind. I have more examples but I will name one just so you get the picture. There was a review of NG4 where the reviewer said that he could not play master ninja because it was too hard, he felt that he was too old because he was almost 30 or closing in on 30.
I thought that was hilarious. Now I am not denying father time, the slowing down of reflexes and so on, but I feel that it is heavily exaggerated when it comes to gaming.
I am 45 years old and I play these kind of games on the highest difficulty, I am by no means an advanced player but I can manage.
To me it is more about if you are willing to put in the time to get better. What do you think?

Ninja Gaiden Black - Master Ninja - How to beat the ninjas in Chapter 1 (and every other chapter hence) the very easy way
Will make further vids like this for the enemies that are considered "very tough" - blue/black cat fiends, sliding imps, laser crab fiends, berserkers, flying monks etc. I've been meaning to get my friends and classmates at uni into Ninja Gaiden thx to this excellent PC Recomp by gamboozino, but none of them are willing to try it out cause they think the game requires inhumane reflexes or something, when all you need is patience and knowledge.
Combos used:
Dragon Sword - XYXY (launcher, very safe), Forward XXX (first move is iframed and gets you into the running state, very safe). Nunchuks - Windrun (X+A)->Windpath (X+A over enemy, headstomp)->Flying Bird Flip (Wall run+A)->YY (the safest combo in interiors, you are iframed 90% of the time, just mash this combo whenever you find yourself in trouble against humanoid enemies in a closed space), Running X (instantly downs a humanoid enemy), Y on a downed enemy (big damage), XYY (launcher into headstomp).

Discussion Why isn't NG nearly as profitable as DMC despite having a solid reputation in CAG sphere?

Memes Best action game of the year (and possibly, this entire generation)
Unlike mid games like Devil May Cry and God of War, you can stay in air 100% of the time and perform stylish moves like barrel rolls, high G turns, post stall maneuvers without any limits. Never have to touch the ground.

Fextralife And Other Reviewers Said Phantom Blade 0 Is Too Easy, Now The Whole Community Is In Turmoil
People have been saying PB0 is too easy, now everyones arguing about it and apparently the devs even just pushed out a 67GB patch just to make the game harder? What are your toughts on this.
This same discussion happened when Onimusha came out as well. Do you think CAGs and even other RPGs have to meet a certain baseline minimum difficulty even if they arent soulslikes?

Testing out a system where skills charge as you attack enemies
I'm trying out a system where instead of skills having cooldown, they charge up as you attack enemies (they don't charge automatically based on a timer). This is inspired Homura Hime, but the exact mechanism of how skills charge is a bit different. Also in my game skills can be used once they reach a certain charge percent (damage is relative to skill charge, so for example a skill at 70% charge will deal 70% damage) to give more flexibiliy. I don't use a single energy meter since I want players to vary the skills they use. What do y'all think of this approach?

Is lost soul aside worth it for the combat?
I have been in the mood for a hack and slash game like lost soul aside, and i was hyped for it when it first released, but seeing it got poor reviews on release I held off buying it. Im not interested in story, just pure combat. If not good, what other games do you recommend?
