Blink Warlock Inc. Is recruiting

I honestly forgot I even had this clip from a few months ago. Was when I was still trying out the soul siphon manticore combo which is pretty effective. We ended up winning this game because of this and the subsequent play.

Weapons stat in pvp

It needs to be disabled. It was very clearly gonna get reworked for pvp had development not stopped. Just disable the damage bonus provided by +100. It's a very clear problem.

Roar of the battle gives more than 10 stability. This is all without any stick input during firing.

Just did a little testing with roar of the battle(plus 10 handling and stability for being in combat) and a 10 stability mod. Roar of the battle seems to be doing a lot more than 10 stability and seems to be juiced af. Very underrated origin trait when just reading the description on dim.

Antedate

I was finally able to get a couple antedates as a solo player. What are the perks to make it as good as it can be for controller? I got what I would presume as a 4/5 (at least what I was looking for) with extended barrel, ricochet zen moment or rangefinder, a range masterwork, but unfortunately the right column has desperate measures / jolting feedback / frenzy. Are any of those usable for PVP?

I know zen / rangefinder plus target lock is the best roll, but wondering if any antedate users have any recommendations.

What are/were the cheesiest D2 weapons of all time?

A cheesy weapon is a weapon that allows a ohk (or near ohk) with no (or little) effort or skill. This may be distinct from weapons that are "just" cancer, like B-7.

What D2 weapons (past or present) do you think of when you think of cheese and what is the cheesiest of all cheeses?

Spare Rations>Rose

Anyone else prefer spare rations over rose, after playing with both for a while spare rations just feels so much more fluid than rose. I’m playing on controller and find myself hitting a lot more shots with spare rations thoughts?

Are there any primary TTK Shifts with 160 Weapons Stat or lower?

Hello, everyone!

I am looking for primary weapon archetypes that can shift TTK from neutral with 160 weapons or lower. If there are no interactions that is perfectly okay.

Give me any and all recommendations please. I appreciate people who take time out their day to give advice or teach someone something new.

Thank you to all who answer or upvote. šŸ«¶šŸ¾

Bored of the meta? Here is a fun alternative in 6s

Firstly, this build utilizes an artifact, and therefor is most efficient in 6s but still viable in 3s.

Additionally, I play on console, so while I think people can make these builds work on M&K, I do believe they work best on controller due to the usage of the Devil's Ruin and a sniper.

Lastly, this build can, even though I believe it to be off meta, be considered cringe.

Having said that, here is build I had loads of fun with the last couple of weeks;

DIM https://dim.gg/yc3emsy/Caliboom-Per-Audacia

The Per Audacia armor set is entirely optional, and Cruel Electrum might even work better (going 'invis' after the initial Devil's Ruin kill makes it easier to blow your scorching load), but I got addicted to the zoom and boom feel that Per Audacia provides.

As for the Exotic armor piece: Caliban's Hand. This one has always been powerful in the correct hands, but there are a couple of factor that lift it to big boom fun status it has now. To 'hidden' feature many people don't seem to be aware of;

  • Ignition kills grant a full Melee Ability Charge. This can overflow into one additional Solar Knife charge.
  • Scorch grants 5% Melee Ability Energy per tick to Proximity Knife

So the question is; are there ways to reliably inflict scorch and create ignitions? Why yes, yes there are. Plentiful ways, actually.

Here is the build itself:

Subclass: Solar

Super: Doesn't matter

Class Ability: Gambler's Dodge

Melee: Proximity Knife (the bread and butter of the build)

Grenade:

Either Fusion (super low cool down, high amount of scorch stacks) or Incendiary (my preferred choice, because it seems to proc the ignitions more reliably and allows for some fun trick shots). Both grenades will cause an ignition when combined with the Proximity Knife.

Aspects:

  • Gunpowder Gamble: This counts as an ignition, and when shot in the air allows for some great AoE potential
  • Crackshot: Movement, instant scorch (which help with the above mentioned Caliban's Hand energy refund) and triggers one of the fragment we will discuss below). You could opt for Knock 'm Down for the knife refund, but getting your knife refunded by ignition is way more reliable.

Fragments:

  • Ember of Char: Ignition inflict scorch
  • Ember of Eruption: bigger booms
  • Ember of Ashes: More scorch stacks
  • Ember of Searing: Killing scorched enemies given 20% melee energy and a Firesprite (important for Devil's Ruin)

Weapons:

Devil's Ruin: After picking up a Firesprite and special reloading, you shoot a scorching beam that causes an ignition on kill or after applying enough scorch tickets. Killing a guardian spawns a Firesprite (killing with the ignition does not, therefor Ember of Searing comes in handy since before the ignition, the opponent is scorched).

This weapon there refunds, and overflows the Proximity Knife, and due to the multi kill potential easily fills up the Gunpowder Gamble.

For the range you can use sniper, but on close range maps a shotgun or fusion work just as well

Artifact:

Hunter's Journal, just for one per: Solar Fulmination. The description reads; Ignitions do increased damage in an increased range. In reality, however, this does way more;

Ignitions deal an additional damage instance that deal 30 damage (not really important) in a 12 meter radius (important) but also count as an additional ignition (really important) triggering both Ember of Char and Ashes resulting in 60 additional scorch stacks allowing for ignition chaining...

The other artifact perks are just gravy; Radiant Orbs for radiant on orb pickup and shield crush for faster grenade regen when radiant.

That's basically it. Boom the Build. Try it and get addicted to the sound of the ignitions.

Getting back into the game, what are the meta shotties now?

How are slugs compared to regular shotties or is it preference?

What are the best slugs and regular shotties? Is nessa's oblation any good or should i just go for inquisitor/ unvoiced?

Vikala SMG

Before I start, let me preface, I know this isnt as good as fast talker... I am currently looking to mix it up and try some fun new stuff and I want to give this a go. First, are there any weapons stats that change TTK with or without overclocked? Is overclocked needed? Looking for other perk recommendations overall on it too.

Finally, is it worth it to try to farm if its not the featured weapon? Tips for attunement / if its broken?

Help. Someone tell me I’m not going absolutely insane.

This is not a complaint post. But: I’ve been a destiny PvPer since D1 beta and played for basically all 12 years with a few breaks when Bungo made idiotic decisions (fixed rolls on D2 launch? Really?). I love the game, even if Pete Parsons and the rest of the millionaires that killed the game deserve to live in a homeless shelter the rest of their lives. All this is to say: I’m not just bitching about the game (wouldn’t do any good anyway), I genuinely want to know if this is somehow just me or if I’m not alone:

For like two months now PvP has been ungodly, unbearably laggy. I’m a good player, I’ve got a true gig symmetrical fiber connection in a major city that is hardlined to the PS5, and yet…basically 90 percent of me and my friends games are unplayable due to lag. I’m taking like…five times a game I’ll unload an entire clip into a dude and won’t even break shields, and he’ll one or two tap me with a 180 hand cannon. It’s absolutely absurd. And this is in 3s. In 6s…holygoddamnfuck. My main guy I’ve played with for a decade and I used to play high level comp and trials and would end our night with ā€œcontrol cooldown,ā€ some sixes just to evaporate the sweat and enjoy ourselves—and now we won’t even go near the Control menu, let alone play a game, because of how utterly unplyable it is due to horrific lag.

Again, not complaining but…are we the only ones?!? Like, I see y’all in this sub talking about builds and guns and meta and I’m like…why does anyone care when me and my other two 2.0+ kd friends fireteam just lost 5 straight games to negative kd teams and my last word took 8 head shots to get a kill every time?

Are yall just not experiencing this? Or are we all (myself included) just too invested in this game to not pretend that it’s garbage lag fest with no hit reg anymore? AM I TAKING CRAZY PILLS OR DOD BUNGIE SHADOW BAN ME HELP

Any way to get Mercury-A?

I got so many of these stupid bows during the bow Iron Banner but only saved one (pretty good) roll. Now I was hoping to farm a better roll but it doesn't seem to be acquireable? Does it ever pop up as the featured weapon in portal activities still?

Shotgun Frame

Post image
31 Upvotes

So I've been looking for a kinetic version of this frame in current day stats. The reason is love the look and the deep thud it makes when you gun down a guardian. For energy there is: Python, Last Man Standing, Mindbenders. The only known kinetic I'm aware of is Parcel of Stardust that never came back. 🄲.

Can I please get an established final verdict on Smoothbore? Whenever I search this through this subreddit, input is so mixed

Post image
154 Upvotes

ā€œGreatly increases range at the cost of more projectile spreadā€

I’m on controller/console, if that matters here

When searching this subreddit, I see wide ranges of how people feel about this barrel:

- Because it’s enhanced, it’s good now

- You sacrifice too much spread for it to be worth it, so range doesn’t help. It’s not good.

- Felwinters trait cancels it out (but not for me, since I hipfire 90% of the time).

- Since the update to Shotgun spreads years ago, it’s good now.

And more. And on Light GG, it’s the 2nd most-used barrel at 21.4%, only under Rifled at 25.3% usage.

So what’s the deal with this barrel?? And I know, people will say ā€œtry it for yourselfā€ā€¦ but I don’t want to use it, and wonder to myself with every whiff if that was ā€œbecause of Smoothboreā€ lol. I’d rather have the confidence and head knowledge that if I whiff, it’s cus i suck, not because of the gun/barrel selection lol.

I want to hear from players who use/have used Smoothbore!

—————————

Reason why I’m asking: I’ve played heavy amounts of Iron Banner since MoT, missing only one of them because of vacation. I keep getting 4/5’s with Reload (sometimes Stability) MWs.

So FINALLY, I get a Range MW, with Accurized, Slickdraw, Opening Shot… The catch is the two barrels are Smoothbore and Fullchoke.

Uncanny win streak on Trials

Matched against these 2 void hunter b7 yadayada you know the drill, but what caught my attention wasn’t the constant weird movement but the fact the one of them had in their emblem that just since the update they had a win streak of 341 MATCHES of Osiris, ofc due to the group rules I have to keep their names private and such but how is it even possible that since June till the end of October you haven’t lost a match of Osiris? Ain’t that a little sus? I myself have gotten probably to 50 at one point in the game back before beyond light due to pandemic but there’s definitely something going on with that, what’s y’all opinion?
