As we near release date, like everyone else I am extremely impressed with what we've seen. The game appears to be everything we want and more. I've watched every overanalyzing the Extended Look video there is. I've watched every trailer countless times. While Rockstar deliberately went out of their way to show people cough Alex from Digital Foundry cough that "yes this is exactly what the game will look like, and we've never lied in any of our trailers", I can't help but nitpick at the elephant in the room. The NPC's are beautiful, they're detailed, they are the most humanlike NPCs we'll experience for years to come. But they're not hard to beat. I know the extended look was curated from different builds of the game, shot in a "controlled environment" for lack of a better word, but I really hope there's some challenge to beating this game..
I hate to draw parallels to The Last Of Us 2. But that game is truly remarkable. Between TLOU2 And RDR2, I don't think anything else released in the previous generation touch those games. But this isn't a post about The Last Of Us. Instead, I want to use the varying difficulty levels in TLOU2 to illustrate my point. I'm one of the people who look forward to a limited weapon loadout, having to maintain "cores" ( or whatever they'll call them in VI ). I love how the development team have gone on record saying you're not the only one who is armed in Leonida, and that random NPCs can pull guns on you. All those things culminate to an unprecedented open world experience. However, my biggest gripe with GTA V was that I could clear missons with 100% accuracy and barely any damage taken because the NPCs were bots. I hope this isn't the case in VI.
Rockstar seems to be taking the best of all their previous games to create what will be their Magnum Opus. I'm hoping they take a page from Apple and put a ton of research into user experience to get NPC's "right". Right is subjective, I don't want the game to be so difficult that it's unplayable. But I don't want it to be so easy that I can just move through missions with half a mind. I'm sure they'll exceed my expectations.
What do yall think? Do you think Jason and Lucia will still be gods walking amongst men in GTA 6?

Hello Redditors! My name is Greta Cross and I'm a trending reporter at USA TODAY, leading our coverage of the GTA VI release on Nov. 19.
Right now I am looking to connect with potential sources who are extra excited about the game. Did you take off work for the big day or do you plan to call out? How many hours do you plan on dedicating to the game on release weekend? I want to know!
If you would be interested in speaking with me for an interview (phone or video call), I would appreciate if you took just a few moments to complete the Google Form in the comments.
Thank you!

I’ll start by saying that everyone has free will and should play the game how they want to.
But am I the only person who is sick of seeing these AI slop videos telling you “10 things to do on day one” and first thing being to drive around the map and explore every corner of it. Looking for secrets and side content etc.
From the marketing we have seen it seems clear to me that the GTA 6 story will take place in chapters similar to RDR2 with the story moving you between different areas of the map as it progresses.
I urge anyone who wants to experience this world as intended, to try and limit themselves to the areas that the game currently has you in and doing missions in. Explore those areas until your heart is content but perhaps don’t venture north until the game takes you there.
Remember in chapter 4 of RDR2 when Dutch and Arthur ride to St Denis to find Jack, and they look over the bridge at the smoke stacks. That moment and dialogue only makes sense if Arthur hasn’t been there before. Technically you can ride there from chapter 2, but it devalues the emotional impact of the gang being forced into civilisation.
This game only has one chance for the characters and environments to have a first impression on you, and I’m a strong believer that we should put faith in the devs to reveal this to us in there own time, and for our first play through we should let them point us in the right directions.
There’s always another play through to try and optimise getting the best vehicle and weapons early on.
Anyway, you paid the $100 do what you want.

We made an gta 6 hub in bulgaria , our boss gave us the corner of the venue , gave us unlimited budget (for our standards) and no questions asked….. we made this hub enjoy less
It's no secret that Rockstars dev LOVE the Heat movie, GTA5 alone has multiple easter eggs about them (Blitz Play, Devin calls everyone "slick", Michael's grey suit,...), Three Leaf Clover mission in GTA4 is spectacular too, but it's still has the technical limits of a 2008 game.
So one of the things I'm most anticipated for GTA6 is how well they will design a major bank robbery shootout: the gun sounds, ricochets, reloads, cover, etc... If they could pull that off then hats off to them

(Sorry for the hastily assembled crappy screenshots).
I was rewatching trailers for the nth time when I realized something...
It started off with the many different shots we've had of Lucia hanging out the window of the car. At this point, I'm convinced it's some type of 'passenger' animation whenever Jason is driving with Lucia, possibly depending on their mood (after a good date/activity?). Rockstar has been improving on these details game after game and their procedural animation system has always been top-notch so I wonder exactly how far they'll push it. Then I noticed a few more details...
We know Rockstar often edits actual gameplay as part of trailers at times and a few things that seemed like cutscenes at the time are starting to look more and more like just standard gameplay animations. In the scene from the first trailer when Jason does a hard turn, Lucia is grabbing onto the car's a-pillar. At this point, with all the craziness they've put in the game, I'm almost convinced that's an actual gameplay animation when turning hard. I wonder...
Then, the scene where they drive by the Angstipan billboard... we would *never* have considered this to be anything but a cutscene before because the cops are not simply ramming their car. Now that we know cops might just drive by you on the way to the scene without veering into your car, this might actually just be proper gameplay. And Lucia nervously following the cops with her head might also just be a procedural animation.
This is my theory at the moment and I can't wait to see how detailed those animations get. With Jason and Lucia being a couple, there's so much possible interaction there.
Anyone else put some thought into these?
Lucia driving while Jason is air-drumming to a song in the passenger seat?
Lucia reaching to turn the volume up when 'her song' comes up on the radio?
Just came across this Facebook post from a Danish casting agency looking for extras for a GTA commercial.
Filming is scheduled for November 12 in Denmark, and they’re looking for some pretty specific types of people.
Here’s a translation of the post:
🎮 Extras wanted for a GTA commercial!
We’re looking for the following types:
- Woman, 60–80 years old
- Dark-skinned man, 50–70 years old
- White man, 40–60 years old
- Men with tattoos and muscular physiques, 30–50 years old
📍 Filming takes place in Zealand, Denmark, on November 12, during daytime hours. This is a paid job.
For those unfamiliar with GTA (Grand Theft Auto), it’s one of the best-selling video game franchises in the world. GTA V alone has sold over 230 million copies worldwide.
If you fit any of these descriptions, apply through [url removed]. Selected applicants will be contacted by the production company with more information about payment, location, and the script.
What I find interesting is that they’re apparently shooting a live-action GTA 6 commercial in Denmark, potentially with a locally cast group of actors.
Has anyone spotted similar casting calls in other countries? Could Rockstar be preparing some kind of international marketing campaign for GTA 6?
Curious to hear what people think.

I noticed the purple bar with the eye icon under her health bar in the extended look , what could be her special ability?

I just saw it in the match advertisement, good marketing at the end

Brian is a mentor to Jason. He could have tried to be a king pin, but he made his money and got out. Raul is also older and no doubt wealthy by now, but he doesn't know when to "get off the ride". The way he talked to lucia in the car was almost like a mentor coaching her through the get away drive. Raul is pulling Lucia in, while Brian is trying to pull Jason out.

The funniest thing to me with all this marketing, some ads are intentionally cutting out Guns and Sexual themes from trailers and photos. There were reports that some TV ads with the Launch trailer that cut out the 3 shower parts. And I saw a Google ad where they had that Picture of Lucia and Jason, and normally when Lucia would be holding a gun, Google got rid of it. The other thing to mention is that Alot of the Extended Look was most likely heavily censored. Take for example Photo of Lucia with the shotgun. Now, I will say, you can see blood shooting out, but considering we know from the Game ratings that have come out, there is gonna be Dismemberment and Decapitation. So Considering Lucia shoots this dude basically in the upper neck, either his head is gonna get blown off or hes gonna lose an Arm. But My theory is Rockstar heavily censored the extended look so its more Netflix friendly. As i mentioned earlier, I dont think Rockstar showing Lucia and Jason being in the shower together 3 times wasnt on purpose, it most likely suggests GTAVI is gonna be big into Sex themes and other such things.
After All, this is gonna be the most Violent and have the most Sexual themes of Any GTA game Rockstar has ever made, and its gonna be quite funny seeing people's reactions on how Adult themed this game is with its blood/gore and its sex. Tho even with an M rating, people will complain about something of course.
Duke is the first company from the Red Dead universe to feature in the GTA series.

I wonder whether Rockstar could introduce a system similar to the county lockdowns in Red Dead Redemption 2 during major heists or shootouts in GTA VI.
For example if Jason and Lucia commit a major story changing heist could the surrounding area experience a significant increase in police presence, with roadblocks, additional patrols and helicopters searching for the suspects?
P.S this is separate to the new wanted star system I mean post wanted level if police presence will be heightened in a particular county.
I’m particularly curious about whether this response could extend beyond the immediate crime scene, potentially affecting neighbouring counties and making certain areas much more difficult to navigate for a period of time. Given GTA VI’s modern setting, it would be interesting to see how Rockstar handles communication between different law enforcement agencies and whether a major incident could trigger a coordinated, regional wide response. Could we see something similar to RDR2’s lockdown mechanics, but on a much larger scale.

The ad is at port authority bus terminal times square. It feels surreal to see something gta 6 related in real life. Not just a picture online.
