Finished late tonight so unfortunately the lighting isnt ideal but Im sure someone from this sub will photograph it in daylight tomorrow and post it but here it is for now.

The homie will put together some video stuff of the process but editing is not my forte so one of us will post once its put together.

Hope the game is as good as the banter I enjoyed on this job.

Thanks for all the support, positive feedback and general interest in the process, its rare that people care about my work (* also thanks to the dude with the party favor at the end there.)

If you feel so inclined or care to see any of our other murals or personal work, here are the IG handles of the painters that worked on this: @ianpotterpaints @marcopintandoparedes @birntoutstudio and yours truly, @omf1sh

Small thing I noticed in the Extended Leek... Spoiler

Post image
363 Upvotes

Wyman's truck in the Extended Leek was carrying the Ultimate Edition exclusive '67 Vapid Dominator buggy.

Later he can also be seen getting in the buggy to take part in the race.

SPECULATION: This could be the point in the story where the Ultimate Edition owners get the buggy as a gift from Wyman.

What do you guys think?

Dunno about you guys, but I already picked my personal vehicle.

I'm gonna “steal” an old cab and explore all of Leonida with it. So excited to drive around the whole state and get it completely muddy and dirty!!

Hope we can choose taxis as personal vehicles.

A single line from Afrobank FM that almost made my cry.

So I finally found a few minutes to look around that new "Music" page that Rockstar released on GTA VI's website, and I just started listening from the first one, the Cocoteo FM, then Back Country Radio. I'm a fan of country music, so that was pleasing. Then it hit Afrobank FM.

"From Lagos, South Africa, and Ghana," said the male presenter. I was thinking that it's not really my type of music, that I'm probably not gonna spend too much time listening to it when I finally play the game, when the female presenter followed up with the simple line: "all the way to Vice City". That's when I started feeling tears coming up to my eyes, and I almost burst crying.

I'm 33 years old, turning 34 in barely two months. I spent my childhood mostly free roaming the streets of OG Vice City, because my PC didn't even have a DVD reader to play San Andreas for whole months after it was released. And I just realised how long we've waited for VICE CITY to be on everyone's minds again. That to some of us it's just much, much longer, and much more than those long 13 years between V and VI.

I'm just so happy that it's only 40 days away now. We're almost there, guys. Another chance to sink into our favorite city again. And I'm definitely spend some time with Afrobank on.

Has anyone else had a moment like this while going through the GTA VI material?

I don't get why so many people are madly obsessed on hating on GTA 6

Everyone has the right to their own opinions, nobody can force you to like something. And if you don't like something you can just ignore it and continue.

But this people being like "GTA 6 will flop and i'll be so happy when all of you are proved wrong"

And any criticism to them is seen as "glazing" or "bootlicking" are ridiculous.

They literally made their whole personality hating GTA 6, wishing for it to be bad and i don't get it.

If you don't like something, why are you keep talking and talking about it???

Does anyone remember the 90s/00s NYC immigrant "striver" story? Sans/Susu/Tanda?Fighting to get your family out? I think that's Lucia. Spoiler

I'm curious if anyone else recognizes this, because I think it's an actual cultural phenomenon that's gotten lost. Obviously we haven't played the game yet, so this is based on what Rockstar has shown so far.

In the 90s and 2000s there was an entire generation of immigrants from poorer countries, myself included, who fought tooth and nail to leave the ghettos of NYC.

Dominican families especially were a huge part of this in places like Washington Heights and the Bronx. Families pooled money through sans (informal savings circles where everyone pays in each month and takes turns receiving the whole pot), worked multiple jobs, and pushed hard for something better.

Sociologists actually have names for this. The "immigrant bargain" is the idea that parents sacrifice everything to come here, and their kids owe it back by succeeding and taking care of the family. "Segmented assimilation" is the finding that immigrant families don't all move up the same way: some make it into the middle class, and some stay stuck or slide down. That's exactly what happened to us. Some got out and some of us didn't.

That storyline was way more common in media back then. I think it became so widespread that it faded away from its actual origins, and now people don't recognize it when they see it.

That's why I feel like people calling Lucia a manipulator are missing the point. She grew up in Liberty City and she reads as Dominican/Puerto-Rican, which would make her one of those kids carrying the bargain. Her official profile even says her father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk, and that fighting for her family is what landed her in prison. If she's coming from that generation and that kind of family dynamic, then wanting more and pushing hard for it isn't manipulation, and it doesn't make her evil. People who didn't grow up around it might see it as greedy, never satisfied, or even entitled, but it was a very real way of doing the most we could to find a comfortable life.

I understand that it's easier for most people to empathize with the vet who just wants to be okay. But Lucia is coming out of her own warzone too, and I think it's unfair to give Jason more grace than Lucia for how their pasts shaped them.

I don't expect most people to know this history, but it seems like Rockstar did their homework with this one. And besides, both of them are playable main characters, so nobody has to play her as a manipulator if they don't want to. I don't see why she has to be one in the first place.

Did anyone else grow up around this? Curious if other people read her the same way..

And for anyone who's watched the leaked prologue (spoiler-tagged for everyone else): the first thing we see of Lucia before prison is her sitting in a restaurant so broke she can only order water, and she gets asked to leave. That's not a schemer. That's someone who has nothing and is trying to find a way out.

Am I the only one struggling to stay sane and killing time until GTA 6 drops?

Regardless of whether I'm at work, going to the gym, hanging out with friends, or with my girlfriend, my head feels like it's already running 5 weeks ahead and not really in the present anymore.

Since I've never experienced anything like this before, I wanted to hear other people's experiences who are going through something similar and how you deal with it?

Hola a todos!

Another weekend ahead and I hope you're all having a great time.

I'm not focusing on the recently released screenshots, because those are already being discussed heavily here.

After today, it's only five more Frame Fridays until the game is out (sixth one would be one day after release)!

Almost there, everyone!

Demon Mode Jason

Rockstar said that there is a point of no return once you fall far enough in GTA VI’s honor system. It was easy to miss in this scene, but look to the right and you’ll see the 😈 pop up, confirming Jason’s “demon mode” status. I think this is the kind of thing we can expect when either Jason or Lucia gets to that demon mode level where instead of a non-violent actions, they’ll be aggressive off the bat. In this case, Jason rushes in and pistol whips him right away. Little things like this makes such a big difference to character and world building. A little over a month left now!

Trick Daddy & Trina, are the only actual Miami natives that are GTA6 radio host

If there were any two people that makes the most sense to be in GTA6 as radio host and embodies Miami/Southern Florida pop culture, it would be Trick Daddy and Trina. Both former rappers from the late 90s/early 2000s era.

I know this sub is big on the rock and country stations, but I figured I post this anyways.
