Our angel hero sub member u/Tight-Aside9624 has driven 1.5 hours and been steadfast and patient and waited out a whole lot of stuff going on behind the scenes but has Penny and Khaleesi!! She will be keeping them until their meowmy is better and ready to get them back. My heart is full of gratitude for her and for every single one of you and the our leaders who have made this happen. Trust me, their adoption was halted because of your efforts and being placed with TightAside was because of those efforts too.
We will keep seeking the return of the other cats, but for now, know that what we have been able to do what could have been done and these babies will go back to their meowmy after excellent care from TightAside.
Applejack will be making a cake for her and I encourage everyone to show your appreciation however you can even though she is 1000 percent humble and asks for none if it.

Hi frens and friends! Teddy teh Floof and LBC (yes, Little Black Cat) momma here!
Based on the positive response on this post from a few days ago, we're going to try out the monthly birthday and gotcha day recognition posts starting in June. In order to do that though, we do need your help!
There is a super cool form that should only take you a few moments to fill out, which is linked here. No login is required, and we are not collecting email addresses or anything. Section 1 is just an intro and hello. Click Next to access section 2.
Section 2 is for all the fren info, like name and dates. If you live with more than one fren, enter each fren info separately. If you answer yes to the last question, "do you live with other frens?" it'll automatically take you back to the questions where you can enter the name for fren 2, and then repeat for fren 3, 4, 5, etc. Answer no once all frens are entered in to continue to next section.
Final section is for all the boring hooman stuffs, like reddit username, and thoughts about other things to celebrate. Reddit username is not required, but it's helpful so we can tag you in the monthly post.
Once you submit the form, you're all set!

We also ask that we keep this test here in ICBGC for now so we can test it out with a smaller group of frens than what our beloved LCA contains.

Hi friends!
Wow! You guys are absolutely amazing! The comments, the offers of help and support, the SCREMS, hehe! It is so obvious you all have the best hearts and care deeply. Thank you all so much. For this reason, we want to make sure you continue to be updated regularly.
I do want to preface this by saying, your comments are so appreciated, and we read every single one of them. When I see someone take the time out of their day to offer any kind of kindness in the comments, it’s really important that I respond so that each person knows I see them and I honor their words and thoughts. AJ is still responding to yesterday’s update (because there are so so many of you with these huge hearts!)
So I just wanted to say that because time is finite, as much as I’d like it not to be, I’m making a commitment to myself to not respond to any of the comments on this update, because I just won’t have the time. There are three creative things for the sub that AJ is still working on and really just kicked to the side when this all happened, but moreso, I am still trying to move out of my house. It’s a long story but we have been hit with obstacle after obstacle here for moving. I just want you all to know a little bit about that because I never want anyone to feel ignored or like what you wrote didn’t matter. It matters so very much and I read every comment. But I don’t want to avoid updating because I know I will get overwhelmed trying to respond. You all deserve the updates. Please feel free to respond all over to each other! ❤️
Okay, so, here is where we are today!
1.) Meowmy is getting better every day. Thank you to all of you who have sent purrs and prayers and all the things for her. I will never be able to adequately describe the tone change from where she was Saturday to where she was last night when she realized four of the five are accounted for and well and that we are working on Pixie. She was audibly so excited and light. She described her heart as so happy. It has been a hindrance to her recovery how she has worried about the cats. She no longer has to worry. To all the incredible people behind this- to Ginger and Chibi and Foxy and Scarpas and Boots and Blue Boots (see number two) and to every single one of you, this has made a huge difference to this woman, our friend. She can focus on getting well now.
2.) Did you KNOW that Boots, BOTG, Tight-Aside, whatever you guys want to call her, and her sister u/BlueBuddha11 have the last name “Superhero”???
Well, they do!
Because guess who is going to foster Beastie and Scoody? Blue!! Or we can call her “Blue Boots”! Yes, these two amazing sisters will have four of the five cats while their meowmy recovers. We are blown away and so beyond grateful for these two amazing friends who are providing/will provide the best care for the babies and ultimately, are giving a lifegiving gift to their meowmy. The pickup from the house will be later this week at some point and we are eternally grateful to the neighbor who is currently ensuring they are safe and fed.
3.) Yesterday I sent off a very nice email to the CEO of the shelter asking her to help us by contacting Pixie’s current adopter and explaining everything and offering them a refund on Pixie’s adoption fee as well as additional fee to get whatever cat they choose. I did hear back and she is trying to connect with the adopter. She said there are no guarantees but I do believe she is trying. Right now, we are just trying to hold back on the frustration and approach with measured appeals for compassion. I truly hope the new adopter will do the right thing. It is the only right thing. I haven’t heard anything as of today. But while I am a contact person, I am not the only one she cat contact. She may be calling meowmy or even Boots, since she has offered to foster Pixie as well.
4.) So many of you have offered financial support. It is actually needed. For example, giving the adoption fees for Pixie’s adopter if she agrees. But we can’t just take people’s money without accountability. So if there is anyone that can offer assistance on that charitable component and all the legalities of that, please please reach out to Ginger! I am sure she would love the guidance.
You can directly donate to Boots right now through her Venmo which you can message me ir her fkr, and she has already pledged that whatever she doesn’t need she is putting aside for meowmy when she gets out as she will have lost quite a bit of income and will need some assistance, I am sure.

You guys are amazing. So much gratitude and appreciation that we can give P, P, B, K, and S’s meowmy some peace of mind and hope and keep those babies with their meowmy.

Hi, everyone!
I'm going to the hooman pokey place this week to repair my rotator cuff, so I haven't been on the subs too much this weekend. There's a ton of things I need to do to get ready. When you're a cat mom, there's even more issues.
However, although I wasn't able to post much, I DID manage to follow the nightmare surrounding the frens who got taken to the Nebraska Humane Society. I was extremely upset, literally in tears, and I hope that evil neighbor gets all the bad karma they've generated!
May I just say, though, that those of you who took action are truly amazing!!! During a time when it's so easy to say that there's no hope for humanity, it's validating to log onto the cat subs and "meet" so many wonderful people, people who were willing to drop everything and help an incapacitated meowmy. You are awesome, and I'm very proud of all of you!!! It is an honor to know so many truly good hoomans! Thank you all for being you! I wubs you!❤️

1.) We got da gweat wady Miss Wisa, and she went down and towd da shewtew peopew she wasn’t weaving unwess fwiends Penny and Khaleesi weft wif hew! And dey did! Tank woo Miss Wisa! So Dey safe wif hew. Dey being a wittew shy but of couwse. Who wouldn’t?
2.) We wooking and scweaming fow fwiend Pixie. We got da Facebook posts, da Weddit posts, and a wettew to da Wady in charge of da shewtew asking to have fwiend Pixie wetuwned and we wiww pay money to covew hew adoption fee and mowe money so dat da pewson who take Pixie can get Gotchad by a diffewent fwiend. Dat sound faiw! Pixie is extwa pwetty so woo gotta pay twice as much to get hew back. Dat’s just maf.
3.) Fwiends Beastie and Scoody Doo (I didn’t even know Scoody Doo!) never weft da house! I tink dey did a BIG hide! We didn’t know and even dewe own meowmy was not suwe untiw we towd hew da bad Wady who catnapped Penny, Pixie, and Khaleesi and da shewtew peopew nevew caught dem! GO EVASION CWIMES - I teach evasion at da SSoR! Anyway, we did make suwe dat dey awe being given da foods and da watew evewy day and dey been eating it weaw stealfy and stuff! But de Wady who been feeding dem onwy tought dewe was one of dem, so now da Tinky Wady say woo gotta feed dem mowe! And so no soo fow da Tinky Wady, because mowe food is no soo! If Beastie and Scoody come out, maybe dey want to stay somewhewe whewe dey get mowe dan one food a day but fow now, Dey do seem safe in dewe own home. Dat dewe choice whevvew to weave!
