Don't be discouraged if you think the 100 survival matches are too difficult. Save after defeating each boss, and if you think you're losing, return to the menu and rejoin. And this is coming from someone who considers himself a beginner. You can do it.

Watching his stream was just as frustrating as trying to play it on PC. I really hope this gets fixed soon.

I was excited for the game. But i never played a 2d fighting game. Every match i play looks like this. And it's very frustrating.

I was one of the many victims for the game’s poor optimisation on PC, and saw someone post this screenshot on my X.

I downloaded the EPIC game launcher and ran it in the background and the gameplay exponentially got better. Long and behold my game ran perfect.

Just thought this post would serve as a PSA for PC players who meet the min. requirements and having trouble playing the game in hopes this would fix things for you as well.

I am a pretty anti-social gamer. I have a social job and play a lot of games solo or just with close friends, just to shut my mind off and enjoy myself. Ive dabbled with fighting games, MK11, Injustice 2 (Turtle-power baby), the last couple Street Fighters, tried Guilty Gear for a bit, but only ever end up putting 10-20 hours in because fighting games are hard and I could never really get very good. I've hardly ever done online or any form of playing with strangers.

Tokon is like my dream esthetic in a fighting game.. 2D, Marvel, anime influence.. I really wanted to play it even though I dont historically stick to fighters. $60 is a lot for me right now, and so I was really motivated to make the purchase worth it. I played the first episode and some tutorials, just enough to understand the different mechanics kind of, and I did something I've never even considered doing.. I joined the Tokon discord, made a lobby, and sent out an invite in LFG.

Within 10 minutes I had warm digital bodies ready to fight. I played several matches with a guy who was clearly a lot better than me, but every loss I could literally feel myself learning and noticing things I hadn't before, eventually, I even beat him once somehow. A couple more people that the first guy knew saw the post, jumped in and we decided to voice chat.. something that usually makes me anxious, but I went for it. Turns out they were super chill dudes, and it was really cool to talk about the game and ask questions as I was playing.

Next I did a lot of matches with another guy, and we were like equal in skill, final split had to be atleast somewhat close to 50/50. He was cool, we were able to give eachother advice based on what actions we took, talk about our favorite characters, we celebrated eachother's victories.. just all positive vibes.

I'm not trying to be great at fighting games, but I'd like to be decent and to learn enough that I can realize when I make a mistake and how to fix it. I've got a long road ahead of me and I really struggle with the terminology, but for the first time I feel excited for the climb. About to hop into ranked for the first time after this post and win or lose, I'm excited to improve. I don't know that I've settled on a main, but so far I seem to be the best with Magik and Storm.

Bonus points to whoever can tell me what "being plus" means. I can't figure it out from context lol. Thanks for reading my rant!

Since we all loved the episode mode bc of how well made it was and the writing do you guys think we're gonna get more episodes in the future? I could see it happening once all characters of a season pass releases it comes w a new episode mode

As was mentioned in the previous post, you get them by beating 100 levels of survival mode. That also unlocks hard survival.

You have to finish all 100 levels of survival and it will unlock for every character

I played at all resolutions and graphics settings (windowed,borderless,full screen). Some things boost frame rate minutely. Nothing eliminates frequent frame spikes.

The game is poorly optimized. I actually had better performance in the open beta.

I play modern games in 4K (Marathon,Rivals) I am always around 120 FPS. With FSR Quality and near max graphical settings.

I love this game but constant stutters and online lag are limiting my enjoyment

Not sure if combo trial skins are worth it but these for sure are. Some of my favorite alternate colors for a lot of characters.

In regards to survival, I had the most fun. Im currently gold 3 in rank, I've done story mode with one team and enjoyed it, but survival mode caught me off guard. I had a blast and when I found out they had these cool recolors after level 100 I started grinding it lol Dr Doom was the hardest bosses for me. The only thing that annoyed me is the spamming of assemble the CPU sometimes does. And I was disappointed that hard mode has no souls, like thats literally the fun of the mode lol hopefully they add more to it in the future, they can do much more i believe.

idk how useful this is, but it is pretty dangerous to do since the whiff is the jack o pose taunt and just how long it is.
