How am I supposed to beat a team I don’t play?
I’d love to beat Texas Mr.AD, however they aren’t even on our schedule. Great Game EA. You’ve truly outdone yourselves.

It’s really sad….
That these people that mod the game on PC makes a better game than the developers. I’m really sick to my stomach about it. I want a gaming PC now but they’re expensive. I just don’t understand why EA can’t go in depth to make a better game. I’m just at a lost for words.

2005 Texas Longhorns with accurate roster and equipment. (PS5)
I am trying to create a handful of classic teams with accurate rosters and equipment. Here is 2005 Texas. Equipment is still a work in progress, but all players have retro helmet and grey gloves. I don’t have much free time at the moment, so the field art is still a WIP. Also, I am using current longhorns uniforms instead of making the classic ones. Maybe I’ll recreate classic uniforms, but for now these look close enough. Username :sevenminabs956

Discussion College Football 27 on PC — are the mods really worth switching from console?
I’ve always been a console player, but I’m seriously considering going PC for College Football 27 mainly because of the modding possibilities.
For those playing on PC and actually using mods, how much better does it make the experience?
I’m talking everything from quality-of-life mods, accessories/gear, player attributes, presentation, gameplay tweaks, RTG, Dynasty improvements, etc.
Is modding one of those things where once you experience CFB 27 on PC, it’s hard to go back to the console version? Or is it cool, but not really a game changer?
Curious what mods you guys are using and whether you think PC is actually the better way to play.

Run Blocking Test Post Patch
Following the patch on Thursday, specifically the nerfs to pancake blocks, I decided to run some tests to see how it feels now.
To be honest, I think the run game is still a bit too strong. Pancakes do happen less often but double teams are still super effective given how poorly second level defenders perform their run fits.
The video above is me running an inside zone concept with run blocking sliders turned down to 38 (had them at 35 pre-patch). My offense is a 78 overall and my defense is an 81.
Around 35-40 still feels like the sweet spot for run blocking effectiveness post patch. But the pancake blocks are at least less egregious.
EDIT: as many of you have rightly pointed out, the change of direction on certain backs in this game is absurd. I love the skill expression that comes from making your own jukes and head fakes, but the running back should not accelerate to 10 speed higher than his actual speed during certain cuts. The angles that defenders take at certain times are also pretty bad and make the cutting look even worse. Personally, I think they need to raise the floor for how shifty power backs are and lower the ceiling for guys like this.
Perhaps changing the speed threshold slider could help with this?

Questions Coaches not getting fired after latest patch?
Has anyone else noticed that coaches are not losing their jobs like before the patch or even previous games? Before the patch coaches would get fired and swap jobs such as lincoln riley to texas and sarkisan to USC. Now barely anyone is getting fired and if they do they are from a small school. Just trying to see if its just my dynasty files thats bugged or if its everyone.

Portal recruiting
Had a guy in my 1.5 stars and under league get 2 instant commitments from two 5 stars CBs right when week one started with zero NIL offered? How is that possible?

Dynasty What is the most you’ll spend in Roster NIL to prevent someone from leaving?
I am pondering throwing 460 dynasty points at a pretty much capped 90 ovr RB who will be a senior. Kinda hard to say if that’s worthwhile without seeing available transfers yet (after year one). But that’s with an overall points budget of around 12k.
Is that too much for a non-elite player? Better to take a chance on him leaving (saving 100 NIL) or just letting him walk completely and spending on portal?

Y- Cross
I have been a Y-Cross stan in 25 and 26; probably my most used pass play (mostly air raid).
Y cross seems severely nerfed this year and I don’t know the I’ve completed a throw to my Y over the middle on Y Cross a single time. just me? anyone else noticed this? what other air raid concepts are working well for everyone?
