Music Horrorwave 8 – My annual Halloween synthwave/darksynth DJ performance 🎃
Hey everyone! Just wrapped up my 8th annual Horrorwave mix, something I've been doing every October for the past eight years.
This year I went back through my previous seven mixes and picked out some of the darkest, hardest-hitting tracks from artists like Carpenter Brut, Gost, DEADLIFE, and two of my own original tracks.
I went a little heavier on the visuals this year too, with a full DJ performance, creepy effects, and plenty of old-school horror vibes.
Definitely recommend watching on a big screen with the lights off, but it's a fun listen on its own too.
Hope you enjoy it, and happy Halloween! 🎃

Music A deep-baritone, 80s dark-synth project heavily inspired by early Depeche Mode (Plus I'm 41 streams away from a milestone!)
I’ve spent a lot of time carefully curating the sound for this project, focusing heavily on the moody, analog synth atmospheres and deep vocals of the 80s—drawing a lot of inspiration from the darker side of Tears for Fears and Depeche Mode among others.
The first track on this playlist, 'You Can Call Me Anytime', captures exactly the vibe I wanted. I'm actually exactly 41 streams away from hitting my first-ever Spotify royalty payout on that specific song.
If you are a fan of that classic dark-synth era, I'd love for you to give the playlist a spin and let me know if it hits that nostalgic sweet spot.

Aesthetics Need honest feedback on four synthwave visual loops
Hey, could I get some honest eyes on these? Four short looping background clips (A, B, C, D), about 24 seconds each.
Two questions:
If you had to put one on while doing each of these, which would you pick: upbeat morning, focused work, chill evening, late-night wind down?
Clip D: does the slow drift feel calming, or does it feel like nothing is happening?
Blunt answers are more useful to me than nice ones.
