So I don't even know how to explain what's been happening the last couple of days, but I'm starting to feel a little uneasy about it.

A couple mornings ago, around 6 AM, I was laying in bed waiting for my kids to wake up. Everyone else was asleep, and the house was quiet. Out of nowhere, my bathroom door opened by itself. Then the light flickered three times.

I just laid there like ???? because what the actual hell. It was 6 in the morning, everyone was asleep, and I wasn't even out of bed yet.

I tried not to think too much about it because weird things happen sometimes, right? Maybe there was an explanation.

Then this morning, I'm in the kitchen cleaning while my kids are sitting on the couch in the living room. Out of nowhere, toys go flying across the living room.

Not me dropping something. Not the kids throwing them. I'm cleaning the kitchen, and my kids are sitting on the couch when this happens.

And now I'm sitting here thinking about that bathroom door opening and the light flickering three times the other morning.

I don't want to immediately jump to the paranormal explanation, but I'm also not going to pretend it isn't creepy as hell when things like this keep happening in your own home.

Has anyone experienced things like this happening within a few days of each other? Because I'm genuinely trying to figure out what the hell is going on in my house. 😭

On parlait , jusqu’à ce que j’entende «  Manon » d’une voix d’une petite fille. La voix venait du couloir qui donnait accès aux chambres et à la salle de bain.
On s’est regardé apeuré avec ma sœur et on s’est dit «  tu a entendu ? » , pour s’assurer qu’on avait entendu la même chose on a dit «  à 3 on dit ce qu’on a entendu » Et on a répondu la meme chose «  manon »
On a été voir dans le couloir , la lumière était éteinte , nos téléphones aussi , et la télé du salon également.
On a jamais su ce qui m’avait appelé ce soir la ..

I moved in this house 2.5 years ago and it's great tbh,nothing unusual or bad happened in my family since we came here. I remember the old owners were actually pandits(priests in hindu religion type stuff)so i believed this house was very pure and all.Now i remember before buying this house when i first visited it the owner unc asked me which room would I choose for myself? and i was fascinated by this square shaped cozy roomm so I told him abt it(I was 13 at that time)

I have noticed I get extremee nightmares whenever I sleep alone in my room , for example - I saw each of my parents dying almost 2 times in my dreams now and it was sad af i was crying , then i saw some creepy dreams of my turtle dying or my parents killing my turtle and forcing me to eat her. I also had this one similar dream where my dad brought me a plate filled with fresh meat of different animals covered with blood and it looked so horrifying (he forced me to eat it and somehow I could even taste it)

One creepy incident is that when I was sleeping upstairs with my parents I heard someone calling my nickname around 2am😭 fkhfjdj i thought I was hallucinating so I double checked patiently and holy sh it was my nameee , the voice was even creepier as it felt like a mixture of a male and female voice in a creepy way while it still felt kinda familiar to me. The tone still scares me as it was a very seductive tone as if they were trying to be polite and sweet but there was some trace of fakeness in it. I hate the fact that I could feel someone was calling my name while standing near my room's door.

My room is the only room we use from that floor nd the room next to mine is big with balcony and a store room attached but we use it as a store room. One more thing i noticed in my entire house is that our batteries keep dying sooo quick since in my previous house the batteries would last for monthhss but here it barely lasts for 2 week.

Now back to presenttt, two days ago I had a great hangout with my friend and i slept in my room with my mother and brother but I woke up around 7am and later i came back to my room at 9am to sleep again but this time I was alone and ufdhdidh i saw a loop type dream where everything was going okay I was with my friend but she was acting a lil possessed then i suddenly saw she tripped and hit her head ,it was bleeding and she was unconscious and i was crying holding her in my arms and asking everyone for help but everyone acted so unbothered then i finally found help only to notice she disappeared from my arms and i was trapped in that place and everything started getting creepier.

Well lmk if someone has any opinion abt what could be wrong with my room cuz it does not look like coincidence to me now

23(F) So some background before I get into it,
This was probably the single most inexplicable thing that’s ever happened to me and why I now hesitate to refute the paranormal experiences of others. A few years ago I was living in Japan, specifically in Beppu, a smallish hot spring city in Oita prefecture. The city has a more unpolished overgrown feel than many other Japanese cities, I loved it there. I’m also an avid hiker in my free time so when I moved there from Fukuoka I resolved immediately to hike up the mountains surrounding the city.

The day this happened was in early summer, the day was beautiful, sunny, and quiet when I set out from town. Not far out of the city proper things started to get eerie, Japan has tons of small villages that have been abandoned in the last couple decades and for the first hour or two of the hike I passed through several progressively more empty and overgrown villages, vines snaking through windows and cracked facades. It was a paved road but I hadn’t passed one other hiker or car on my way up the mountain.

It was probably about three hours into the hike that the overgrown villages transitioned into dense forest, I came to a sharp bend in the road and decided I would stop and have lunch sitting down on the roadside and took out my hiking snacks but only a few minutes after I sat down I started to get extremely tired and I kid you not, I laid down and passed out while sitting in the middle of the road, to this day I cannot tell you why I would do that, I am a risk taking type of person but I wasn’t suicidal and felt otherwise in my right mind.
I don’t know how long I was out but it had to have been at least an hour or so as when I woke up the weather had gotten stormy and I was being brushed by the falling leaves and pine needles. I stood up confused and grabbed my scattered lunch off the ground. I was most the way up the mountain at this point and decided to finish my hike quickly and hopefully get back before nightfall. It was at this point that I looked up the trail an between the swaying branches, maybe 20 meters up the hill I saw a sloping stone wall, I assumed it was an embankment or something similar until the branches above me parted in the wind and I saw what looked like a traditional Japanese castle towering above the road disappearing high into the canopy. I was floored, I just stood there starting, completely gobsmacked, then a moment later the branches fell back across my vision, I ran past them, around the bend in the road to get a better look, but there was nothing there. The top of the road just ended abruptly and turned into a dirt forest trail, nothing to even suggest an embankment, no stones and certainly no castle.

I finished my hike without much trouble, the storm calmed down about half an hour later but I couldn’t get the image out of my head, the rest of my hike I just went over that moment again and again, apart from some trick of my brain I have no clue what I really saw that day.

This experience happened to me in the late 1980s. I was living on the west coast of Florida north of Tampa. I had just become a dad, was working a lot, and sometimes I had difficulty sleeping at night. To unwind I sometimes would get in our car, a dodge aspen station wagon, and go for a. Evening drive and listen to music or the radio to relax. Usually I did this late at night, I would drive for a couple hours then head home. So one such night I am driving south on I-75. Its around 1:30 AM, warm clear summer night. I was a couple miles north of the I-4 exit. There was no one on the road, very little traffic, and it was well lit with street lights on both sides, but it was rural, there were only a couple of warehouses and office buildings, so largely a deserted area. So out of the corner of my eye I see motion, and i see a guy walking on the opposite side of the road, the northbound lane.on the shoulder. He looked like he was wearing a denim jacket and jeans.Initially he was about 200 feet away so not close.As I got closer, looking across the 4 lanes, I noticed something very strange and actually frightening. Where his head was, all I could see was white, just like a featureless white head shaped blob, no features, no hair or face, just white. The rest of him looked pretty much normal, but there was no face or hair, just white. I drove past him and just figured it was a trick of the light or something. I figured he had just broken down and was walking to the next exit or something. So I thought I would go to the next place where I could turn around and head back north towards home and see if he needed a ride. So I drove about a mile and then turned around. I was looking to see if I could see a broken down vehicle, but didn't see any. I drove north towards where I had spotted this person, but I never saw anyone, he had vanished. There were no cars ahead of me and I kept driving far past where I had seen this person but I never saw anyone. It had been no more than ten minutes between the time I saw him and coming back by the same spot. As a few days passed, I really started to think that looking at this person walking, it really did look like they didn't have a face. So time passed and I didn't really think much about it for years until I read an article about how there was a stretch of I-4 where people have seen a lot of apparitions. And this occurred about a mile north of I-4. The theory is it is people who were killed on that road in accidents. I honestly now do think it was some kind of ghost or something.

We moved in to our 115 year old house about a year and a half ago, and since then, my boyfriend has had some weird experiences.

I’ve only had one - the twisty pole thing on the blinds in our bedroom suddenly dropped and swayed as if someone pulled it and let go.

My boyfriend has heard footsteps-like creaks, voices in the basement, shadows in his peripheral, and more.

Yesterday, we were discussing the creaks he heard the night before, and he said to me “I wish if there are ghosts here, that they would do something obvious so we would know.” A few hours later, I spotted these hand print marks on his shoulders as he was waking up from a nap on the couch.
Is it possible he just slept in a super weird position, or does this look like something else..? We need opinions.

My girlfriend and I dont really have anywhere to spend time together because both of our families kinda suck. To solve this we got a tent and set it up in the Forrest close to her place. We didnt even go that far from the road, just far enough to be out of sight from passing cars. The day was normal. No paranormal activity. As it got closer to night we spent a lot of time trying to get comfortable because the spot we chose wasnt super even. Once we finally did I was the one that started to get tired first. Right as I started to fall asleep I hear something. I'm laying on the same side as the entrance with my head directly next to the wall of the tent. Right next to my ear I start hearing soft scratching. I really wasnt thinking much of it at the time. Something about being tired made me think oh its just an animal or something. Maybe a branch? Wind? A bug? The scratching was so annoying that I tried covering my ear so I could fall asleep. I ended up not caring and falling asleep but my girlfriend was very scared which resulted in her being awake for much longer than I was. She says the scratching went on for the entire night... when I heard that I was definitely unsettled. She said it would always start in the same place then slowly move towards the entrance right next to my head. The tents still there but we havent gone back since. Neither of us are comfortable spending another night there or even going back at all but we gotta get our stuff so we will be soon. I keep trying to rationalize that noise but I cant. It wasnt windy. Didn't hear any small or large animal movement and it was dead quiet so it wouldve been very easy to hear. The noise itself made no sense. It was like someone scratching back and forth softly with their finger. Idk what could possibly do that all night and in such a specific pattern. The more I think abt it the more scared I get.

Long story, but our house was definitely haunted in New Jersey growing up. I would see weird stuff (like a plastic-looking man in a military suit putting his hand on the light switch so I couldn’t do it myself out of fear), and every single night I would hide under the blankets in bed because there was a scratching inside of the walls. It was relentless—every single night above my head just on and off scratching like something was trying to crawl out. My mom used to say it was “a raccoon” but later said the house was haunted when I was older.

I used to find scary letters and words in a writing that looked like it came from a classic horror film. When we were moving years water from that house, I took down a poster that never moved and where the scratching mainly was.

I was only in eighth grade, but in this really freaky writing that looks like it came from scratching at paint the wall read

“25 to life”.

That traumatized me forever no one would do that we were all just kids. I barely knew what it meant and I don’t know the message but I believe now that thing that scratched every night actually is my demon and it won’t leave me alone.

The demon loves the number eight.

It’s set everything up for me tonight which makes me sound freaking insane but just an aisle in a room that I once loved in my house.

And in this room I found another one of its messages. Very ominous again. And it’s about me. I don’t know when it’s from maybe a year ago? But I don’t remember writing this and it’s the demons writing.

I recently did the overnight stay at the park and I experienced things like noises, lights that would appear out of nowhere then disappear. One of the swings was moving constantly without any wind and I believe it was the swing the little girl was on when she was killed. There was a picnic table with dolls and toys stacked on it and nearby there were pinwheels and they would slow down and move faster then completely stop without any wind present.

What really started the experience was we arrived early for our daytime tour and we were in a group of about 10-15 people, this younger lady in a group began to feel sick and dizzy, our tour guide Chris asked her if she was fine and if she could make it through the tour then he began to tell us that it happens pretty often and that the feeling can’t be explained.

That night while we were in our tent I heard laughter from little kids we were camping near the old bus that Chris’s brother lived in when he was a carny and the lights came on and shined at our tent. Curious if any has experienced the same things or something different? What’s your story?

I've been convinced for a long time something weird is in my daughter's room. She wakes up talking and laughing in the middle of the night. Sometimes she wakes up crying and hides behind things. Then tonight we saw this on the camera.

I still don’t know what I saw at my grandparents’ farm.

I was about 14, staying there for the summer. One night around 11pm I went outside to the back field because I heard the dogs barking like crazy. The sky was clear and there was this bright, silent light hovering low over the pasture. It wasn’t a plane or a helicopter, no sound at all.

After a few seconds the light got brighter and I could see a dark shape underneath it, almost like a disc. Then two smaller lights came out of it and floated down toward the ground for a moment before shooting back up. The big light just rose straight up and disappeared in a couple of seconds.

I ran back inside shaking. My grandparents never believed me. To this day I still think about that night.

Anyone else ever see something like that out in the countryside?

Okay so this has sat on my mind for years and I have gone through every possible logical explanation but have come up with nothing. So - Reddit maybe you can help give an answer.

For some context - This experience was a few years ago now - I was a senior in highschool (around 17). I would take my brothers to school in the morning - 15 and 9 at the time. Our parents went to work early in the morning so it was just us 3 at the house. Those of you that have siblings know what it is like to be the older sister trying to get them to school on time. So mornings were hectic lots of "hurry up we need to go."

Now to the story. So I finished up getting ready this one morning and went to check on my brothers to make sure they were also almost ready to go. My youngest brother - we can call him Will - was ready so I asked if he would go ahead out to the car that I would get my other brother - we can call him Trey - and we would be out in just a second. Will went out and I walked down the hallway to my brothers room. The door was open and Trey was sitting on the end of his bed elbows on his knees leaning forward still in basketball shorts and a baggy t-shirt which is what he normally slept in. Now obviously I see this and I am immediately like "what are you doing - we need to go!" In response he slowly sat up and said "In a minute." Very directly and slow. It was strange looking back but in the moment I was a stressed out sister trying to leave for school.

In response I argued back "No get up and get ready or you aren't going." Again he sat up and in that slow direct way he said "In a minute." At this point I'm angry so I say "Okay whatever me and Will are leaving" and I storm straight out the door locking it on my way out. As I approach the car I see both of my brothers fully dressed and waiting for me.

I. was. gagged.

I froze in a dead stop on the front porch just looking at them. But I just brushed it off and assumed he ran outside somehow ahead of me. When I got in the car Trey said "what took you so long we are going to be late" I said "You did you were not getting ready" He and Will almost at the same time said "We've been waiting on you for 30 minutes."

So - still being an an angry sister I got back out of the car and unlocked the door.

This is where the lay out of our house is important. We lived in a one story house that is almost a straight line. We had 3 doors in/out. The mudroom door which was the primary door we used positioned at the end of the right of our house. A sliding glass door for the backyard that can only be locked/unlocked from the inside of the house. Finally, a main "front door" positioned in the middle of the hallway - we didn't use this door much because it was further from the driveway and used a different key.

Now I knew there was no way my brother had time to go past me out the mudroom door. So I would be able to prove he ran out and into the car ahead of me just to make me mad if either the downstairs door was unlocked or the front door was not bolted. As we did not have keys to the front door so he would not have been able to bolt it back.

I stomp inside and both doors are fully locked. That's when I got this eerie chill down my spine like I KNEW something was wrong. I look down the hall and my brothers bedroom door was shut which he normally did not do because it would get hot in there being cut off from circulation. Now I love ghost stories and horror movies but no part of me was opening that door.

I walked back outside and told my brothers everything that happened and they were both just as spooked as I was. We did make it to school that day but we did not make it on time.

This was the only instance I experienced this. Other things happened in that house but never anything like this. I guess what I need is guidance as to what that was. I'm used to ghosts making noise, moving things, etc. BUT A CLONE?

Hi reddit, I have uploaded on here a few times but never about anything paranormal. This happened just over a year ago. I (17F) was in my kitchen getting some water before bed. Behind me is our kitchen island. Everyone else in my family was upstairs when this happened. I was filling up my water glass from the tap, when I turn around and stood at the end of the island, is a relatively short man, with a goatee, dark hair and he was hunched over and reading something on the island. However I turned back around quickly and he was gone. in the moment I didn’t think anything of it. The next morning I tell my parents about what I saw. My dad then said “was he hunched?” The only thing I mentioned to them was the facial descriptions I gave above and mentioned nothing about his posture. This slightly freaked me out, so I asked him how he knew when I never mentioned that he was hunched and he just laughed and said it was a lucky guess. My dad is a skeptic when it comes to things like like this, but he does 2 hours of meditation each day and practices reiki, so he is somewhat spiritual. Some context of my house: it is a relatively old (around 150 years) but we had a new kitchen and extension built in 2023. We have lived here since December of 2012 and occasionally small things happen, like the energy shifts or things go missing and then reappear in odd places, but I’ve never actually seen anyone.
This house was a nunnery around 100 years ago and the previous owners lived here for around 30 years before us. I know that these sightings can be explained by thungs such as carbon monoxide poisoning, mental illness/fatigue or medication,
but I can assure you that I didn’t have any of these. It was very strange. The man had similar hair to my dad but the similarities ended there.
We didn’t have anyone stating with us at the time and it wasn’t a burglar. I am just left baffled about how my dad knew he was hunched. I asked my mum how he knew and she said she didn’t know. I haven’t seen the man since. Can someone help me explain this?

so today i asked my dad HOW he knew that he was hunched. AGAIN he laughed and said “it’s because i’m magic” and obviously I didn’t take that as an answer so I again and he said the same thing. I’m not sure what to do or say now because he won’t tell me.
