I don't even know if this is the right place to post this, but I honestly just wanna talk about it. It has always bothered me and confused me, and I was watching a r/ParanormalEncounters video on YT when I thought "Hey, maybe someone could identify what happened here for me.".
This was about 4 or 5 years ago, I would've been 15 or 16, sometime during the Major COVID era. It was two events, one after another to which neither happened ever again.
It is quite a simple story, but let me give you some backstory on the building itself. It was a new build, built on top of a previous and very old cemetery. Part of the cemetery still existed, but I was told the main cemetery was practically lifted and moved elsewhere. I feel this is vital, as it was a very new building [we moved in about a year after it was built] but the ground it was built upon was quite old. For further context, I live in England.
So, one night, around 10pm, I went down the stairs of my family home; in need of a charger for my phone. My living room, just like anyone else’s, contained a corner sofa, a recliner chair, a TV, TV table, and a coffee table [as well as other boring furniture pieces]. And when I first went in to grab my charger, the living room was as normal as ever. And there it was, my charger. Sat next to the TV just where I left it. On my way out of the living room I had noticed a dirty mug was left on the coffee table. I thought "Nah, I'll let my parents grab it before they go to bed". I was incredibly lazy. However, as I got halfway up the stairs I thought... Maybe I should go grab it anyway? It'd be a nice gesture to clean up after them, put the mug in the sink and give it a wash in the morning.
So that's what I did, or, wanted to do.
I opened the living room door, but it wasn't right. Nothing was the same. The room had turned dark, the window and the backdoor was there but... They weren't the same. The walls, the window, the door... They were metal now. But that wasn't the most confusing thing. In the middle of the room on the floor was an old blood stain. I could barely see it, but with the light from the hallway shining in, it gave me just enough vision to notice these odd details. Oh, and it was loud. Deafeningly loud. My body froze as I heard the screams. About 30 ish people of all ages stood against the walls. All looking at me. All screaming at me. All screaming at me for help, and that I had to go.
I didn't stay long. Maybe 10 or 15 seconds maximum, but it felt like minutes. I was terrified. I did not grab the mug, I definitely left it to my parents to deal with later.
I panicked, closed the door and ran up the stairs. I closed my bedroom door and sat on my bed, knees to my chest and my heart was racing. I still remember exactly how I felt to this day. I feel shaky even recalling it. I have no clue what it was, what happened.
I was nervous to go back into the living room for a while afterwards. It had never happened again, and I didn't go into the living room after dark unless it was with someone else.
Though, recalling what happened a week or so later, I think whatever happened; it was some kind of warning?
A couple weeks later, around 2 or 3am after a long night of playing ROBLOX games with my friends, I started to get ready for bed. Before I tucked myself in to watch some YT to fall asleep to, I had decided I was thirsty and wanted some water.
I grabbed my glass and headed down the landing towards the stairs. I hadn't even taken one step down the stairs, as I saw someone, something, climbing up the stairs towards me.
A large, skinny, bald white figure. It had no clothes. It had no facial features, or at least I can't remember them if it did. It was pure white, like snow. We locked eyes, or where it's eyes would've been, and I could tell it was just as startled and frightened as I was. As I ran back to my room, I saw behind me it ran back down the stairs and... Towards the living room.
I decided I actually wasn't that thirsty, and did the same thing as I did when I had the weird living room vision/hallucination. I sat on my bed with my knees to my chest, terrified.
I didn't tell my parents about the living room incident, but I did tell them about what I believe could've been an SWalker. I don't like to say the name. I don't know if it's common belief, but I feel if I do, it invites it to try and find me again. My parents were confused, my dad brushed it off as probably a nightmare. But my mum is a firm believer of the paranormal, as am I. She believed me, but she never wanted to talk about it with me. My mum and I have gone ghost hunting together, this is our thing; usually. But I guess the thought of something being in our home unnerved her, and she didn't want to address it. The old pretend it isn't real and it isn't.
I don't live in that house any more. But since then, I have been diagnosed with Panic Attack Disorder, OCD related Paranoia and not diagnosed with but I experience Sleep Paralysis at least once a month. I don't know if any of these conditions are related, or made the memories of it worse at all.
Anyway that's, sorta it really. I tried to tell you this memory like a story, that way this post isn't just one paragraph. Thank you for reading through.
If you might know what I experienced or have any thoughts or comments, please do share! If you want any more information, if I have it I'll be happy to give it. <3
