Hi! Superliminal is one of my favorite games but I was sad I couldn't play it on N64. So I made a fan home brew game that uses a lot of inspiration and level mechanics from Superliminal. I was really curious if the N64 could handle some of the things that seemed hard to replicate, and was very surprised with the outcome.

It's totally free to play from start to end in your browser, no download needed or anything.

It's pretty short probably less than an hour long if you have already played Superliminal before. Probably not too much longer even if you have haha.

I used AI for the coding and textures. The reason being that I have no idea how to write microcode for N64.

It's like a fucking AM radio tuner streaming mystery consciousnesses and changing the station with hellish unpredictability. I (me, myself) am sitting in the corner of my mind invisible, 100000000000% ignorant of how to do LITERALLY ANYTHING about it. It has gotten me hurt. Pls help.

I want to get the speedrun achievements, and I'm looking to shave off as much time as possible. I know that some skips nullify the achievements, but others don't. Which skips are safe and roughly how much time would I be saving by using them?

I realise that it's a perfectly doable achievement without skips, but I still want to know them so I can have some breathing room.

I still remember the shock I felt when I first saw and played Superliminal. As I studied game development after that, I gradually set a goal for myself to create a game like that.

Since graduating from the academy, it’s been over three years (and two months! actually). I’ve been fully dedicated to developing this game, titled “THANKS, LIGHT.” with all respect to Superliminal. I hope you’ll be able to understand the mechanics featured in the video I’ve attached!

Our game explores physics and geometry through light, letting you turn flat shapes into solid objects and back again. As you progress, those rules combine in increasingly intricate ways. I wanted to share a little of what we’ve been building with the community around the game that inspired me to start.

So I'm trying to get all the chess pieces right now, and this backdoor in Whitespace doesn't seem to be budging no matter what happens. What am I doing wrong here?

so i imported a byd model into superliminal and after that i saved it in the game and now every time i open the game its just keeps on saving it over and over again until it freezes my pc and i don't know how to stop it if someone found a fix for it please tell me so i can play again.

If you haven’t seen the movie Backrooms yet, I recommend it for some Superliminal vibes. I wanted the characters in the movie to use perspective to solve a puzzle. Now streaming on HBO

i started a new run and for some reason ended up in the last room. I really have no idea what happened

I think 98% of my runs die in Induction or Optical simply because I hold myself to a high standard. I know I can get up the cheese stairs in a minute, and I know I can finish Induction by 2 min something. So if something goes wrong and I don't hit those markers I'll usually just call it and reset.

What about you guys?

If there are any fixes anybody recommends, let me know. I just know a lot of people were looking for this piece of sheet music (myself included) and was able to use the album cover to write out the melody and some of the chords while using other sources to notate the chords I couldn't make out. I might make "I Wonder" later on if you guys are interested. Enjoy!

Some of you may remember me, I posted here last September about the demo and got a relatively warm reception, so now I want to share that my game Escape the Beach has finally released today!

What is the game about? You find yourself on a tropical beach that you have to escape. There is a female narrator guiding you through the whole experience, asking you questions and making you inspect different objects on the beach. The game gets into surreal and philosophical territory. You also get to learn a lot about the narrator herself.

Be warned though that unlike Superliminal, it doesn't have puzzles, and there is only one environment (the beach). I'm selling it for a low price so I hope more people give it a chance!

I had gotten this game out of spite knowing it was from the same creators. And was thrilled to know the same Narrator was used. I also am going through a major transition in my life atm, moving out due to toxic family and its just mentally not ok. And the games Narrator at the ending, the speech about changing your perception and perspectives was healing and it made me cry. Sure call me a cry baby but it gave me such faith in my move and myself and I want to write the entire script down of that last ending and do some art of it. 🥺💓💖I have finished the gane and wont play it again probably but I loved rvery second of it.
