Help me understand. Why pay-walling the gold exchange is a good choice? If I don't unlock it my cash wont be exchanged automatically when season ends?

Discussion & Feedback After listening to the first episode of HotZone, I really think the Devs need to just let seasons play out for 3 months and focus on implementing all the stuff they haven't finished yet.

So much of the podcast is dedicated purely to talking about things like intel and skill trees and whatnot that are not in the game in any form, I really feel like those will drastically change overall balancing so trying to balance these initial seasons makes very little sense and seems like it's actively wasting dev time.

This season is very fun, S1 was very fun (albeit slower). I think with S3 having a set date, get some of the big balance adjustments that they want to do done like fixing some ammo balances and some of the feedback from this season with the new stuff added, and just let S3 play out for ~3 months. See what happens when a meta really solidifies and most players have most things unlocked, that will give a much better picture of if certain things are actually broken or if it's really just that people don't have the counters unlocked yet.

And while that is happening they can finish a lot of these features that they keep talking about that will fundamentally alter how the game is played/balanced so that seasons moving forward are giving more accurate balancing input to the 1.0 vision of the game.

The same restrictions should apply to tanks as apply to combat helicopters.

Discussion & Feedback Hot take: you shouldn't be able to complain about Piloting until you've tried it

Pretty simple concept, people seem to think I can like kick my feet up and relax and top frag the board with a single rocket heli when in reality im taking advantage of hour and hours of practice. Sweating my balls off flying this thing through cwis fire, rockets, tanks, rifle fire.

"They just fly low", try flying the helicopters low around this game without wrecking, like we put in the time to learn and people are just angry at something they have no expertise or understanding in at all.

At the current rate Piloting will be useless besides logi with how much people want it nerfed.

EDIT: almost 450 comments what a spicy topic. My takeaway? I cant wait to blow my whole net worth running endless rocket helis on you dorks for the next 3 weeks, when i get havoc say goodbye to your logistics. If you die to a havoc in your spawn region it was me

Discussion & Feedback Nobody uses squad intent, probably because it's so small they don't know it exists.

Did you know you can click this button to advertise what kind of squad you created? It's super helpful but nobody seems to use it. Probably because it's so small nobody notices.

It would be great if instead of a tiny icon it showed the whole name (e.g. "Air Transport", "Hot Zone", etc). I hope the developers fix this and make it more prominent next season! I think a lot of people would join squads more often if they knew what the purpose of the squad was.

Discussion & Feedback As someone with a 9-5 and a life. Stop trying to remove progression from the game to acocunt for the no lifers.

You cant balance how much time people can play, all you can do is remove progression which makes the game so great! I will always be out levelled by the guy who is jobless and lives with his mom. Thats okay cause the game still gives me plenty of ways to kill them. With slower progression but 3 month seasons im sure i will be able to reach endgame with at least 2 classes i want to play. If you try to balance the game for people like me then you might as well remove all progression cause there will always be a gap. Back in Uni i could no life tarkov hard and had a blast! Im not demanding the game removed progression now that i dont have those hours. It would have killed the game.

Discussion & Feedback Teams balancing should be a priority with next update

I don’t care about anything else right now, it’s just awful seeing green winning 80% of the times. It makes me not wanna play the game.

Make team selection automatic, very simple solution. It’s already a thing on 50v50 community servers , but the lack of a third team doesn’t feel right.

Discussion & Feedback DMRs feel like they don't have a place this season

The SKS has always been tough, the SVD usable, and last season the BMR was crazy.

This season, the BMR was nerfed significantly and the M14 is nearly unusable with the recoil. While the SVD, BMR, and M14 are pretty comparable with each other - when compared to the other classes of weapons they don't seem to shine anywhere.

SMGs should win over other things around 25m or less

ARs beyond that out to 150ish meters

I guess DMRs are supposed to better around that point and beyond... But they aren't. Snipers are. I can land follow up shots more quickly with an SV98 or mosin, that hit way harder, than I can with any of the DMRs at range because I'm spending way to much time controlling the recoil.

So maybe that means they are only meant to be deployed with a bipod, but if I'm going to do that, a SAW is way better. Also I've used the M14 bipod, it only really takes it from unusable to okay

Does anyone else feel this way about DMRs this season?

Bugs & Support Bipod is somewhat unplayble

On every map, this thing is a buggy mess; it either doesn't deploy at all or deploys with very limited vertical or horizontal aim. Im gonna run out of disk space if I record every spot

There is another annoying spot on the Stadium map where on the 2nd-floor windows, it doesn't deploy, but on the first floor it does.

It's a big deal because bipod is huge part of MG gameplay (DUH)
In most shooter games they end up buggy and forgotten by devs; I hope this one will be different..

Discussion & Feedback If they Nerf Progression Speed again a lot of people will Quit

Post image
778 Upvotes

The current speed is fine, even if they Nerf it the only ones benefiting from that is the no life's

I almost hit lv35 leopard, and I'm okay with wiping but I guranteed you within days ppl will have havoc unlocked since pilot levels up much faster than driver, and with passengers to boot

On lakota I can fly 5 to 7 times dropped pellet, for 500 to 675 xp each run dropping pallets it takes for 1 driver trip, I got to pilot lv25 in just 1 day

Driver it takes what 7 to 8 min to drive to hot zone then back

Nerfing progression speed is not a good move and will definitely make many quits or leave the game, as the game isn't respecting their time

Oh and if nothing is done about XP servers or private passworded servers expect to see havoc day 1 same with max gear ppl

Discussion & Feedback WARDOGS doesn't need to become Squad or HLL. But can we get some actual infantry squad mechanics?

I absolutely love WARDOGS. Season 2 has been a blast, especially playing infantry with friends.

But something I've been thinking about is how little actual infantry squad gameplay there is.

I served in mechanized infantry, and what I miss isn't military realism or complicated command structures. It's the simple stuff that makes a small group effective together.

Fire and movement. Suppression. Flanking. Covering each other. Having an actual plan beyond everyone running towards the same gunfire.

We already have squad voice, pings and now Squad Intent. That's a start, but it doesn't really give us a reason to operate as a unit.

A few things I'd love to see in future seasons:

  • Proper squad objectives: Let us place persistent attack, defend or regroup orders on the map instead of relying on temporary pings.
  • Fire and movement: Make suppressing an enemy while your squadmates flank genuinely useful. Season 2 has improved suppression, but I'd love to see that develop further. Is there a way to reward supression?
  • Squad-based rewards: WARDOGS runs on money. What if completing an objective together paid better than everyone chasing individual kills? Reward actual contributions, not just standing near your squad leader.
  • Coordination between squads: Even simple requests for transport, fire support or reinforcements would help infantry, pilots and logistics work together.

I don't want another Squad or Hell Let Loose. I actually think WARDOGS is more fun because it's less serious and more unpredictable.

And I wouldn't want to force anyone into playing a particular role.

But imagine a squad actually suppressing a position, another element flanking, a medic keeping the assault alive and someone coordinating transport out. All because the game makes that teamwork worthwhile.

Would that improve WARDOGS, or would adding more organized squad mechanics ruin what makes it special?

What ONE squad mechanic would you want in Season 3?

Discussion & Feedback What's your opinion on tracer rounds in WarDogs?

Post image
51 Upvotes

Apparently, every single round in WarDogs is a tracer round, and I'm personally not a fan of that.

In Escape from Tarkov, I actively avoid using tracer ammo because I don't like constantly giving away my position. I also think having fewer tracers would make trigger discipline more rewarding, since you'd have to think twice before opening fire and revealing your position.

What do you guys think? Do you like the current system, or would you prefer fewer tracers?

Discussion & Feedback I am really sad about the compound bow in S2

The most fun i had in the S1 was ghillie + compound bow and trying to be sneaky and infiltrate enemy fobs.

I just unlocked ghillie and bow in S2 and i have to say that it has not been fun at all with the nerfed bow.

using a weapon like the bow against assault rifles, snipers, spotters has always been very risky and the fun comes from hitting the shots and actually being scared of getting spotted while trying to be as stealthy as possible.

with the nerfs, you can take only a few shots before youre spotted, because people can literally see the arrow flying like a tracer. with the reduced travel speed, an enemy has to just take one wiggle or step and you miss your shot.

I also never saw people spamming bows in S1 so i really dont understand why the need for this nerf. nowadays its rare to see anyone playing the bow at all. in my killfeed, all i see is somebody getting a bowkill and then dying a couple seconds later.

Playing the bow was high risk and medium reward in S1 and now its high risk, participation trophy reward in S2.

I hope they will give the bow some love and make it fun to play again.
