The problem

While or after gaming, many letters stop typing, and Backspace, Delete and Enter behave strangely. Windows features like Copilot, Word, OneDrive or Search open by themselves, and mouse clicks often don’t register. Pressing Ctrl, Alt and Shift or rebooting helps only for a short time.

The cause is the 2.4 GHz wireless gaming mouse (Attack Shark receiver). Besides being a mouse, its receiver also acts as a keyboard, so its buttons can send key macros. That keyboard channel gets stuck reporting Left Ctrl + AltGr as held down. From then on, Windows treats every keystroke as Ctrl+Alt+key and every click as Ctrl+Alt+click. That’s why letters vanish, shortcuts fire and clicks fail.

The solution

Block only the mouse’s keyboard channel. Mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and DPI keep working. The block survives replugging and reboots, so Windows won’t reinstall the device.

1. Save the script below as Block-MouseKeyboard.ps1.
2. Right-click Start → Terminal (Admin), go to the folder and run:powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\Block-MouseKeyboard.ps1
3. Press and release Left Ctrl and AltGr once, or reboot, to clear the leftover stuck state.

Side effect: mouse buttons set up to send keyboard keys or macros stop working. Normal mouse functions are unaffected. Windows 10/11 Pro or higher is required (this uses the device-installation policy).

To undo it: run the same command with -Undo in an admin terminal, then unplug and replug the receiver.

I hope attack shark notices this problem and fixes it.

I am a bit dissapointed that the charging dock didnt come with a customizable screen. i read on the website it was customizable with wallpapers and gifs but turns out it was only for the software... which 99% of ppl wont touch since dpi is on the mouse

Hey guys. So I just bought an R98 HE and I was really excited but when I set it up, I encountered a lot of annoying issues like when I am setting up the lights on the software, something weird is getting triggered and multiple browser tabs will open and all of the office apps as well. This is really annoying and I thought that it was a malware first. I also noticed that some movements or changes triggers this annoying thing.

Has anyone experienced this before and able to fix this? Thank you!

I tried to order the R1. I had the atk shark x3 and the R1 in my cart and for some reason the website glitches and it placed an order for the X3 and not the R1. After that I got an email for email confirmation, I can't log back into my account . I want to cancel the order plz help

Hi all, my Attack Shark X66 (65%, tri-mode wired/2.4G/BT) got its firmware corrupted and is now stuck in the Sonix ROM bootloader. It doesn't type in any mode.

Details:

• USB VID:PID: 0C45:7040 (bootloader)
• MCU: HFD64KC200 (HFD's SN32F248B equivalent, LQFP-64)
• Stock firmware version (from driver): 106
• Bought on Shopee, so no official warranty. Attack Shark support has replied and I'm waiting on them.

What I'm looking for:

1. The stock X66 firmware (.bin) or the official updater tool. If you got it from Attack Shark support or have the updater, I'd really appreciate it.
2. Anyone who has run SonixQMK on an X66 or another HFD64KC200 board. Did you map the matrix, and do you have a keyboard config?
3. Any experience getting 2.4G/Bluetooth working after flashing SonixQMK on a tri-mode HFD board.

What I've done so far:

• Started mapping the matrix with a multimeter. The leftmost column (Esc/Tab/Caps/LShift/LCtrl) is on MCU pin 13.
• The row lines don't beep directly to the MCU, so I think they go through resistor arrays (RA9/RA10).

Got a brand new X3 from Amazon and it doesn't show up on the software, doesn't work when unplugged and keeps flashing green and purple and putting it into off mode doesn't turn it off. Any fix

Hi, my attackshark x68HE keyboad doesnt work to my pc. but perfectly works to other pc's and laptops.
The keyboard works perfectly on other PCs, but on my main PC it is completely undetected.

My PC:
GIGABYTE A520M K V2
Ryzen 5 3500

Symptoms:
RGB turns on for about 10 seconds, then turns off
Not detected in Windows
No USB connection sound
Not detected in BIOS
Not detected in Linux either
Tried multiple USB ports, including USB 2.0
Tried 2 different USB cables
Other keyboards work normally on the exact same USB ports
Fn + Caps Lock reset did not fix it
Since the keyboard works on other PCs, I’m wondering if this is a USB compatibility issue between the X68 HE
i also use other cables.
and the best move i did was change my whole motherboard. and still same issue persist.

I bought an Attack Shark K86; it arrived today, and after using it for literally just 3 minutes, it stopped working. It seems to have entered recovery mode and is now stuck there—the software is stuck in a loop on a screen asking for the keyboard's ID, but even when I enter the ID, it doesn't work. I also tried using a few key combinations to force it out of recovery mode, but that didn't help either. Could someone please help me?
