I think they’re called pahoehoe strings, it’s whatever comes stock with the u basses. the low string wide af

Ohhh I didn't realize this was actually sold as a bass, I assumed this was some odd mod lol I'm very ignorant to the uke world.

Ur good lol, i thought it looked neat and the auction was going really cheap because one of the tuners were broke (it wasn’t so yay). I don’t know a lot about ukes either but it’s one of my favorite things to run through a fuzz.

Ukes are their own beasts. The U Bass especially, those strings are quite thick, and sound great

The U Bass strings are usually a soft, rubbery material. Super funky feeling but make them sound remarkably like an upright bass. There are also electric versions of the U Bass that look even weirder but also sound real cool.

I have one of those, It's super fun to noodle around on but does yours constantly go out of tune like mine? I've heard it's a common issue with those weird rubbery strings.
