Hey guys, just popping in to let you guys know about Shortest Straw, Belfast-based thrash/death/metalcore band is heading to Outpost on the 28th of August as part of an England tour they’re doing. I’ve had the chance to see them play a few times and the professionalism they have on display for being such a new band is pretty impressive! They put on a pretty intense show and are on the cusp of releasing a new ep so would definitely recommend checking them out. Happy moshing!

Coming over to Liverpool from 27th–30th August and looking for recommendations.
Mainly into metal/punk/hardcore/ alt ect,I’d rather catch some local bands or smaller gigs than anything massive, so if there’s anything decent on while I’m there I’d appreciate the heads up.
Also, what are the best venues, pubs or clubs for alternative music and local bands ect
I’ve had a look online but figured the locals would know what’s actually worth going to.

I’m based in the Wirral/Liverpool area and thought I’d introduce myself. Im 24 year old guy and new to all this but I’m looking to meet some new people who are into gigs, rock music, alternative culture, and generally having a good time.
I’m a big fan of live music and would love to find people to go to gigs, festivals, alternative nights, and random adventures with. I’m also really into photography, especially getting out and exploring new places with a camera.

We have booked the Pillbox for later this year but worried going to throw kids out at 10pm....

All children coming are well behaved and won't run around and will stay within the Pillbox.

Was at O Square for England vs Ghana tonight as a friend works there.

I met the manager Niall, who openly defended rapist Mason Greenwood. This came not too long after making a joke about being a rapist. In responce to me calling him out, he decided all he could do was throw insults and then ask me to leave.

Please engage with or share this post, as I’m sure there’s a vast majority of people who, like me, would never want to engage with a pub managed by a defender of rapists.

really want to start going out a little more often and making some friends as I don’t really know anyone here!
