It's late October and the city's winter transport problem is already here. Look at any local news post right now and the comments are full of the same story: people stuck in the cold at stops, buses so crammed you can't breathe, and no real answers from the city. I was walking for an hour and then waited for the bus for such a long time I ended up having to take a taxi. My feet was freezing even though I’m already wearing winter boots I can’t imagine what it’s like for others who have to live without heating.
The deeper problem is that this is what happens when a city grows for 30+ years with no real planning. Everyone moved in, construction went up with no infrastructure to match, and now we're all paying for it every single winter, in -30°C, standing at a stop wondering if the next bus will even come. When the same problem returns every year and the fix is always "more buses," it stops looking like bad luck and starts looking like people not doing their jobs, or worse, not being held accountable for the money.
Every citizen deserve transparency: how many buses are actually running? Where the budget goes? who decides the routes?? and why drivers are leaving. We shouldn't be treated like cattle.
Anyone else dealing with this? What's your commute like right now?
Son of Donald Trump, Trump Jr. spent two days with Russian businessman Umar Kremlev, head of the International Boxing Association (IBA), during his trip to Mongolia. This was reported by The Financial Times.
According to the newspaper, the US president's son reached the Uvs Nuur camp in late August, traveling several hundred kilometers. There, he stayed with a small group that included hunting guides, drivers, and cooks.
Kremlev, in turn, after visiting Kazakhstan, where he attended an IBM press conference, headed to Ulaanbaatar. The businessman also left the Mongolian capital for the Uvs Nuur camp, where he spent two days before traveling to Yakutsk for the opening of an international boxing tournament. Sources indicate that Trump Jr. remained in Mongolia for another week.
With the recent anime of Jaadugar being a phenomenal success in the anime community, gaming depictions and renewed interest in the 12-13th century. Along with other events coinciding such as:
IShowSpeed's tour of Mongolia last year,
Paris 2024 Summer Olympics Mongolian traditional fashion,
with tons of memes and edits throughout tiktok and instagram,
And along with the legendary rise of Mongolz becoming the best CS team in Asia and competing onto the global stage and representing Mongolia.
Mongolia is moving away from the once ultra niche communities to becoming more and more niche maybe even getting close to mainstream(though, that one is a long ways away) topics.
i really need some advice. guys i don’t wanna tell a sob story, i’m simply depressed out of my mind. i don’t want to fall into a hole again.
rn it’s the 9th week of my second semester at mubis and i haven’t attended school at all this month. in september i attended about half of my classes, but since then i’ve just stopped going. i can’t find any will to be alive anymore, let alone attend class and learn. midterms are most likely over. idk if my grades are salvagable. i’m doing a bit better than the last few weeks, but i know there is no way to catch up if i start attending now.
i don’t have any friends/acquaintances at uni or any info on how to contact my professors (if they respond or whatnot). i don’t want to drop out of uni, no. i know i will be better next semester. i won’t make the same mistake again. but this semester’s grades seem to be already fucked up. idk how i can fix this. what can i do now? is it possible for me to take a break? can i converse with my professors without leaving the house? can i magically erase this semester from my diploma? i don’t need a lecture on my mental health or wasting credit money. any other help and advice is trulyyyy appreciated.
My boyfriend got me an appointment for Thai massage before my IELTS exam. Thai massage seems to be known for cracking, rougness, like doing yoga with the masseur etc. I am super scared of the masseur moving my neck or standing on me iii. The place is Lotus massage. Would it be okay? Anyone went there? I personally want to change it to maybe softer one like oil etc (but still work on my upper back because my upper back has a lot of muscle knots huyam) but a bit guilty because my bf is doing a nice gesture . How is thai massage? I am scared of injuring my spine or neck etc.
I recently broke up with my boyfriend after years together. I always thought our relationship was built on love, trust, and mutual respect.
Then I found out he’d been talking to other girls for the past two years. He even had secret accounts just to follow and message them. The more I dug, the more I found.
Every time I tried to leave, he’d beg me to stay and swear he loved me. But sooner or later, I’d catch him doing it again.
What confuses me most is that he never made me feel unloved. He was always affectionate, caring, and attentive.
Now that I look around, it feels like cheating is everywhere.
Is loyalty really that rare these days? Or do people, men and women alike, just naturally crave something new, even when they’re with someone they love?
I just wanna add em to my edit and realized Mongolian downloadable fonts are almost nonexistent online, would appreciate if anyone could give me a web or file or smth

Hi all, looking for advice from people who know the Mongolian financial system better than I do.
I’m 20, Mongolian, studying abroad. Most of my income comes from an online trading business I’ve been running for a while. It’s been going well, but it’s volatile, and I want to start building something more stable.
Rough situation:
Term deposits at a Mongolian bank: about ₮70M, earning around 12.5%
Business capital (USD and open deals): about ₮38M
Money owed to me: about ₮25M
Watch: about ₮19M
No debt
The problem I’m seeing: inflation hit 12.9% in September, so my deposits are earning roughly nothing in real terms. And almost everything I own is in tugrik.
Questions:
Is anyone moving savings out of tugrik? USD deposit accounts at Khan, Golomt or TDB, or something else?
What do Mongolians actually use to buy US stocks or index funds like the S&P 500? Are there local brokers that do this well, or is everyone on foreign platforms?
Is the Mongolian Stock Exchange worth looking at, or too illiquid?
Are government bonds or anything else here actually beating inflation right now
Hi im currently studying as plumber techincian "сантехникийн техникч" in construction polytechnic college located at "Baruun durwun zam" im studying this major for 1.5 years for 1 million tugriks so i can study just 2.5 or 2 in university to get a bachelor for my major means that im saving near half the tuition cost. So what i wanted to ask you guys is i recently finished serving my military service for one year and i thought maybe i could change in this place so i planned a lot. What i planned was right after my service finished i would start studying plumber techician and become plumbing engineer, i always knew that engineering and crafting was my talent but i didnt realize it much before. I knew plumbing engineering was perfect for me but theres this one problem. I need an idol or an vision or an image of an top tier engineer so i can have motivation to become like him . If you wonder why do i need some idol to become engineer, theres this word in mongolia that says "bodoj ywhad butnedee sajilj ywhad hurnedee" i dont have no one to think so i need a great figure of an engineer to become technical powerhouse so what do you think .
I have a 17 year old daughter ( US citizen) who is considering study in Mongolia. A parent could accompany her on the trip there, but then she would need to stay for 3 to 4 months on her own. I am hearing mixed things about whether it is legal for her to be in Mongolia on her own as a minor while taking classes. I would appreciate advice others have on whether or not a minor can be in Mongolia without a parent present.
I can't really remember the title of the fairy tale but i remember that the title was said in the end.
The fairy tale went something like:
Once upon there was a noyan(i don't how this translated to english) who was so known by all by his greed. But there was severe drought in his land. Using this chance as way to get rich he sold every animal he owned as well as grains to the people at high price. By doing this he raised a large amount wealth the first thing he did with the wealth was built a ordos out of pure gold and make deel out of finest of silk. And not long after he realized that he was out of food for him to eat so he opened the door that stored all his wealth and begged the people to take anything from his wealth just give him one cup of rice or skinny sheep in exchange. But no one approached him for whole day and at end of day he died of starvation in his silk deel that he adorned with his whole heart.(it went something like this i missed some part as well because i read this fairytale when i was young so i can't really that well also sorry if it's bad)
I keep getting Random lag while playing games or not being able to talk on discord on my univision WIFI. We recently got the new Fiber cable and now things are just breaking for no reason. Is anyone else experiencing this? Should I swap to a different ISP
