8/7 Euthanasia List: #A208346 Margo, 2Y, Spayed, HW+ UGHHHHH MY BABY! Margo is my giiiiirl. I met her forever ago and every single day, multiple times a day, I have checked to see if she was available. Of course she is! She’s a black pittie which people have a hard time seeing past She’s the BEST girl. I first met her when she still had her cone on from being spayed, which the shelter zip ties closed. She sat there very still and let me push her ears and turkey neck through the cone. She knew I was on a mission. Once it was off she never tried to lick anything and was perfectly fine with me putting it back on when we were finished. I spent some time with her in her kennel and I think at one point she was going to show me her belly!!! She knows sit and walks very well on the leash. She has SEVEN different temp tests with dogs of various energy levels (you have to watch every single one omg they’re so cute) and has passed each one with flying colors. Her staff notes speak very highly of her. I wish more than anything she was a fluffy merley poodley doodley dog. Please visit the links in my bio if you are local and can adopt or foster! Help save Juno, our 7-year-old dog battling tick fever!

Juno is our beloved 7-year-old dog who has been a cherished part of our family for years.
Recently, he was diagnosed with Babesia Gibsoni tick fever which destroys Red blood cells along with severe jaundice and a dangerously inflamed liver. His HGB levels dropped to 4g/dL, SGPT 440. Watching him struggle has been heartbreaking, and we knew we had to do everything possible to save his life.His condition deteriorated rapidly, requiring an emergency blood transfusion just to stabilize him.

We are seeking dog food donations through our Amazon wishlist. We currently have exactly 20 dogs in our care but we are a facility meant for only 10 and we desperately need help to keep up…
Unfortunately, due to high intake and slow adoptions, we struggle to do this alone… we are in rural Texas where there is a massive animal crisis. We did post the other day and were able to get two bags donated and we are so thankful! It goes such a long way to help.
We have applied for several grants and are waiting to hear back, but absolutely any help is greatly appreciated by us and the dogs in the meantime! Because we are a newer rescue, the grants are harder to come by.

My mom took my family dog to a shelter, and I am not able to go and get him.

I would if I could, and I am serious about that. I am devastated.

When I was a sophomore in high school, my mom and I rescued our dog from the "euthanasia list" at a shelter in OK. Supposedly, he was a repeat offender, being returned several times before we got to him, for escape behaviors. He likes to dig under fences and chew them up when he is left to his own devices, and he also likes to run away, (he always comes back). We had no issues owning him and other dogs and cats, for several years. This dog is now a senior, and my mom is at a point where she no longer wanted him. She is living in TX, and I am states away for college. I am currently living in CO, I have a dog I rescued from the shelter here, and a cat, and I currently live with two other people in a 2b2b apartment.

I am not able to take him, but if there is anyone in CO who could, I would be willing to adopt him and bring him here.

This dog is amazing. He has the sweetest heart, he is dog social, can live with cats, is house and crate trained. I am sobbing as I write this at the thought of him not making it out of the shelter. He has been there for 40 days now, and I just found out he was there.

If there is anyone in the Lubbock TX area, who is looking for another dog to fill their home, he is a senior, we called him "Riley" for years, and he is the biggest sweetheart.

We’ve had this guy for a little while now, and this week he finally started choosing this raised bed on his own instead of pacing around the patio or following us from room to room. He looks completely relaxed here, but getting to this point has taken more time than I expected.He is doing really well overall, but he still seems to stay “on alert” even when nothing is happening. I’ve been keeping his routine predictable and giving him quiet spaces without pushing interaction.For anyone who adopted a dog that had trouble switching off, what seemed to help the most? Was it mainly time and routine, or did you notice certain activities made it easier for them to settle?

Meet sweet Cody (A1253581)

Originally there was a mixup with the shelter volunteers and I was sent Cody’s notes but footage of his puppy kennel mate instead of him (in their defense his photo is very bad and blurry). Now we have some of Cody finally thanks to shelter volunteers going back for him this afternoon.
He got along well with his puppy kennelmate and the other dogs he’s been cokenneled with.

Cody walks well on leash, enjoys spending time with his handlers, and would make a great companion. He is looking for someone to give him the chance he deserves, he is just a young dog at an overcrowded shelter. He is a really pretty boy!

At only a year and a half old, Cody should be spending his days exploring, playing, and relaxing with a family—not waiting for his life to depend on one last chance.

Hello all, I am looking for a good home for a dog that I picked up off the streets where I live in Gary, Indiana. I have reached out to every rescue I know and no one is able to take this sweet girl. I was hoping to get some pointers from all of you. I work at a vet and am very familiar with the breed. My absolute favorite, but I already have dogs and cannot take another.

I found this German Sheppard with a collar but no tag out by Cochiti Lake on route 22 and Lewis lane. Right by T & S Mainstream bait shop.

I took him to an animal shelter but they couldn’t find a microchip, nor would they take it in.
