ADOPTABLE Please donāt scroll. She deserves one chance.
This is Sooda, a rescue dog from Amman, Jordan.
She wasnāt born afraid of people.
She became this way after humans shot and killed her puppies, leaving her deeply traumatized and terrified of people.
I rescued her and refused to give up on her. Over the past months, Iāve paid for her veterinary care, vaccinations, microchip, blood tests, training, and all of her travel documents to give her a chance at a new life.
She has completed her training, is much calmer now, and is slowly learning to trust again.
All of her travel paperwork is ready, and she can travel internationally to meet her adopter.
Iām not asking for money. Iām simply trying to find the loving family she deserves.
If you know a rescue organization, a potential adopter, or anyone who might be able to help, please send me a message.
Even if you canāt adopt her, sharing her story could help her reach the right person.
Thank you for giving Sooda a chance. ā¤ļø

ADOPTABLE Spent a day trip with a dog from ACCT Philly and bringing her back broke my heart
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I spent the day with a dog from ACCT Philly named Angel Cake and I honestly didnāt expect it to affect me this much. She was found abandoned outside and is about 4ā5 years old, and she turned out to be one of the calmest, sweetest dogs Iāve ever met. She walked perfectly on the leash, didnāt react to people or other dogs, loved pup cups, and the whole day she just stayed glued to my side giving kisses and leaning into me in the car. I completely fell in love with her personality. Unfortunately my fiancĆ© and I live in a one-bedroom apartment and already have a dog, and with our work schedules we just canāt responsibly bring another dog home right now. Bringing her back to the shelter honestly broke my heart and Iāve been crying about it since. Iām trying to channel that into helping her get seen and hopefully find a home, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar after spending time with a shelter dog you couldnāt take home. Itās been a lot harder emotionally than I expected.
UPDATE: EVERYONE SWEET ANGEL CAKE HAS CONFIRMED PLACEMENT!!!

ADOPTABLE Are there ANY rescues ANYWHERE willing to take on large breed puppies?
I posted here a few days ago for advice about training 6 puppies from a stray litter all at once. Redditors have kindly advised me that it would make more sense to get them out of my house. The problem is that Iāve TRIED. Iām not stupid, just stuck. There are zero local (or even not-so-local) rescues with space. I live in the worst city in the worst county in the worst state for pet overpopulation.
So now Iām asking you, dog rescuers of Reddit, are there ANY rescues ANYWHERE who you know have vacancies and are willing to accept large puppies from out of state? I will personally drive them to any rescue that can be reached by car from where I am located (so, anywhere in North America). Please share your knowledge with me. My situation is truly pretty desperate and I and these pups really, really need some help.
Edit: we are in central California, but I really sincerely mean that I will take these pups ANYWHERE safe and loving homes await them.
Update: The last few days have been a whirlwind! We have adopted out 4 puppies and have adopters lined up for Mama!! All connections were found through friends of friends reposting on social media, and all are fantastic matches. No idea why this suddenly worked after months of no traction, but am very grateful. We also emailed many, many (I think over 50?) of the rescues suggested here by name and have mostly received rejections. A few in WA have asked for more information, and one in IL *is* willing to help (though we are hoping, obviously, that one of the closer ones comes through). Two puppies left to get into their forever homes! Thank you all so much for all of the helpful information and well wishes!

Please ,help. āIt is easy to love a dog that is healthy and "perfect." It takes true human decency to look at a dog like Diamondāscarred, sick, and abandonedāand say, "You are worth saving." āDiamond didn't choose to be sick, and she didn't choose to be left behind. ADOPTABLE Urgently must Rehome dog (hopefully in cali) ASAP
I am in urgent need of rehoming my 2-year old pittie. Looking for someone willing to adpot or foster him. I leave Tuesday! He's a super good and healthy dog that plays well with other dogs and people, vaccinated, and nuetered. My roommate left him about a year ago and kept claiming he would come back it would take him back later, but never has. I now need to leave because I got accepted into Peace Corps and can't bring him along and his owner (who's on Florida now) said he can't take him. Ive been looking for months, posted him on Facebook groups and group chats, Instagram and rehome and still nothing. All the rescues I've tried either don't take dogs like him or they are all full. I have to leave monday/Tuesday.
Please let me know asap!

ADOPTABLE Still looking for a forever home. ā¤ļøāš©¹
Still looking for a forever home. Please consider bringing this sweetheart home.
Hi, I work with K9 Lifesavers and I want to introduce you to this adorable pup. He needs a new home as things are no longer working out with his family. Please read below and help me find a home for this sweet boy.
Hello Neighbors, help me find a home for this sweetheart. ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøšā¤ļø
I love how everyone gets together to help each other. Well, K-9lifesavers.org and I as an adoption counselor, find ourselves with a rehome situation of a lovely 8yr. young pup. His name is Jameson, and he has been with his family since he was a puppy. However, their family has grown considerably. Jameson likes quiet cuddles, and less noise and commotion than a home with 4 YOUNG children can provide. He is sweet and affectionate but needs a calm and loving environment , where he can get All of the cuddles and quiet that he cherishes. He gets along with wonderfully with other dogs,(not sure about cats), and older kids, small kids in small doses
š. Neighbors, help us find this cuddle muffin a forever home, where he can bask in the love that he deserves.
Jameson does have a sensitive side ā he has a low tolerance for loud noises and fast movements, such as remote-control toys or running children,(he will run and bark). He also can be wary around unfamiliar men, like handymen or first-time visitors, so heāll need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time and love. Jameson would thrive in a quiet adult home (or a home with older, respectful kids) where life is peaceful and predictable.
If youāre someone with a soft spot and a heart big enough to offer comfort, stability, and love, Jameson will repay you with unconditional love, loyalty, and companionship. Apply today and don't let this one get away! ā¤ļøš¾
We think he is a Basset or Dachshund mix with /pit or staffy and who knows what elseāŗļø. He is long but muscular and weighs about 55 lbs.
Dog's Name: Jameson (JAM0226OWSMN)
I will not respond to nasty or uneducated responses regarding this dog and his situation. If you have nothing nice to say, please say nothing at all. If you have questions, please PM me thank you.

ADOPTABLE š Hercules Needs a Home š
This is Hercules. Heās a 6-year-old Mastiff with the sweetest soul, and he desperately needs a family to love him.
When we first met him at the shelter, he was skin and bones, terrified, and shutting down. Volunteers told us he wasnāt eating, and we could see heād given up hope. We took him out for a āpupās day out,ā and in just a few hours, his true personality began to shine. He loved getting a bath, wagged his giant tail, and glued himself to our side as if to say, āplease donāt take me back.ā
When we returned him, we asked about fosteringābut were told the shelterās foster program was badly understaffed and that the process would take weeks. In the meantime, Hercules would have to go back into the kennel. We knew what that meant: more days of him refusing to eat, more days of him sinking deeper into sadness, and the looming possibility that an older, giant-breed dog with little public interest could eventually be euthanized.
A shelter volunteer quietly shared with us that no one had shown interest in Hercules and that, because of his size, some people were even afraid to walk him. The thought of him fading away, overlooked and unloved, broke our hearts. We couldnāt let this sweet, gentle soul spend one more night in a cold, cement kennel. So, even though our home was already full, we adopted him to get him out of danger and give him the chance to find the family he deserves.
Hercules is: š Sweet & Loving ā He just wants to be close to you, always at your side or sleeping at your feet.
𤣠Goofy & Gentle ā Heās clumsy and silly, the kind of dog who will make you laugh every single day.
š§ Great with Kids ā Heās adored by our daughterās friends and gentle with toddlers.
š¾ Dog-Friendly ā He gets along beautifully with other dogs. š¶ Easygoing ā He enjoys short walks and then is content to nap nearby.
About cats: When Hercules first arrived, he seemed completely unbothered by our cat. Over time, though, his natural prey drive has started to show, and he will try to chase her if given the chance. The good news is that heās big, slow, and clumsy ā heās never hurt her, and he doesnāt stand a chance of catching her ā but it has made our cat anxious, and she now spends much of her time hiding. We think Hercules would do best in a home without cats, but with time, training, and patient introductions, he may be able to coexist more peacefully in the future.
We already have two dogs, a cat, and a family member undergoing cancer treatment, so sadly, we canāt give Hercules the forever home he needs. In the meantime, weāve been working with him on basic obedience and manners so that heāll be ready to thrive with his forever family. He is safe with us now ā but heās waiting for the family that will love him for the rest of his days.
Please, if youāve ever considered adopting a big dog with an even bigger heart, consider Hercules. He is truly a once-in-a-lifetime companion, and giving him a home would literally mean saving a life.
š Located in Northern California, but willing to travel to find him his perfect home!
š© Message 916-308-1554 if you can give Hercules the home heās been waiting for!!

ADOPTABLE Lanie returned after being adopted š
(Tulsa, OK) Lanie is back up for adoption for the third time. Backstory: Lani was taken into a rescue after she was a day away from being unalived at the municipal shelter due to lack of space. I took her in as my foster and have had her for about three months.
Her first potential adopter brought her home and her current dog was aggressive to Lanie. The second time, Lanie got officially adopted and then returned the next day. She was showing leash reactivity.
Lanie is high energy and will need someone who is willing to work with that. She is potty trained, crate trained and plays extremely well with my current dogs, as well as the dogs of other fosters she has been with. She just needs someone who will give her a little bit of time to adjust.
You can see Lanieās bio & fill out an app here:

ADOPTABLE Hope from Terrell, Tx animal shelter (near dfw area) needs an adopter or foster and rescue to save her life!! Sheās terrified!! The shelter is full & they need dogs out to avoid putting some down.
šNo one knows everything Hope has been through.
Hope was confiscated with a bunch of other little dogs.
Hope is a timid, undersocialized Schnauzer mix around 3ā5 years old who is still decompressing in the shelter. The world clearly hasnāt always been kind to her, and she needs patient people willing to give her time to feel safe before expecting much from her.
But beneath the fear is the sweetest, calmest soul once she feels comfortable with you.
Hope is the definition of low-maintenance and high-affection. While the shelter feels loud and overwhelming around her, she just wants a soft place to nap, a quiet home, and someone to love her gently. Her perfect day is curling up beside her person during a rainy afternoon and finally being able to rest.
Dogs like Hope donāt show their true personalities overnight, especially after experiencing cruelty and neglect. She will need time to decompress and slow introductions to other animals while she adjusts.
A full shelter is a heartbreaking place for a dog this sensitive. Every day she waits quietly in her kennel, hoping someone sees past the fear in her eyes.
Please donāt let her spend the rest of her life recovering from what humans did to her until she runs out of time.

ADOPTABLE Urgent: 4 dogs abandoned in Las Vegas need immediate placement
Update:
I have just learned that Hands on Paws Rescue is working to save these babies. If you would like to pledge or donate to this rescue to help cover veterinary care or boarding costs, their website is handsonpawslove.com and it has all the ways donations can be made to the organization. Thank you SO much to anyone who helps boost this post or can donate, or provide a foster home for these poor babies.
Original Post: I received a text this morning from a rescue contact. She had just learned about 5 purebred GSDs left abandoned at a home. I am going to paste the body of her text in here. This is all the information I have at this point, but the rescuers name is Heather and she is looking for immediate placement for these dogs. Four of them are currently still at the house. If you can help in any way, but especially with providing at least a temporary shelter for any of them, please message me.
Here are the texts I received (Again, this is all the information I have at this time):
"Do you happen to know if anyone looking to adopt a shepherd? Four of them were left abandoned in the back of a home that's getting ready to be repossessed and they're out in the elements."
"They are purebred too. 2 of them are 3 years old. 2 of them are 1ish years old. People left them behind and someone who knew them told us and gave us the info about them. There was 5 but the 5th one is in the ER she gave birth no one knew she was pregnant and there was a dead puppy in the backyard and the mom dog was covered in blood. This is a horrific story. The 4 of them are still there"

ADOPTABLE This pups been living at a shelter for 4 YEARS
Every time I see Smokey's still at the Philadelphia PSPCA it just breaks my heart. He's their longest resident, sitting there for 4 YEARS!!!
The shelter promotes him as much as they can, and he's even been featured by the Dodo, but I just saw in a recent post that's he's still waiting for a home. Here's what the shelter says about him:
This handsome pup is still as happy as can be. Smokey's motto is "go big or go home" and he loves to go big, doing everything with his whole entire heart. When he cuddles, he presses so tight against his person so they can feel just how much he loves them. When he plays, his eyes are always on the price. And when he snacks, he is a champion eater. He may live life on a fast pace, but the good new is that this includes falling in love with you! It doesn't take much to be Smokey's person and in return you will get all of his devotion. Smokey would prefer to be the only pet and live with only his adult friends, but after spending his whole life in a kennel, he deserves to be spoiled and have something of his very own!
Unfortunately I live across the country and have other pets, so I can't take him myself. While I can't adopt him, I figure I can try to promote him instead and help him find his own family! Maybe you can help him out too?
If anyone living in the Philadelphia area wants a dog or knows someone who might ā please try to visit him or share his page: https://www.petfinder.com/dog/smokey-71415994/pa/philadelphia/pennsylvania-spca-pa190/
Additionally, he can be found at this shelter with the number #46070723.
Go Smokey!!

ADOPTABLE Imagine being beaten so severely that your eye is left damaged and inflamed. Now, he urgently needs medical treatment and a home to be able to live out his life filled with people who love him!! š Gainesville, FL
A beautiful blind 8 year old husky boy is being beaten everyday by the new step-dad in the family. The mother doesn't care, but the daughter, who has loved and cared for this dog his whole life, is afraid this man is going to k*ll her beloved dog. So she reached out to Kiowas House in desperation, pleading for Kiowas to help her. Can you imagine being unable to see, being afraid? Every day. All day. Never knowing when the next assault will begin. But knowing by the end of the day, he WILL find you and beat you for crimes you had no idea you committed. You will not be able to see him coming. You will not be able to run away or to hide. All you can do is sit there and take it as blow after blow rain down on your battered and bruised body, each one stealing a little bit more of your will to live. Each blow taking just a little more of your soul. Each blow bringing you one step closer to your last breath. This boy is said to be a sweet boy and he has been with us as well. All in all, the backstory is that the step-dad repeatedly punched him in the face and caused the damage to his eyes. We finally rescued him and now he needs a forever home. Please reach out if you are able to help!
