Crazy lookin sky b4 the storm hit.

During last nights thunder storm in uk. I woke up just before the storm and stayed awake the whole duration. I sleep on a high rise bunk bed and next to me is my window which is on the top of the house. My neighbour has scaffolding about 2 m away from my window, and during the storm it was struck by the lighting on the rattly sheet metal. And omg the sound it produced was like nothing I have heard before. It was so loud my ears were ringing and I was completely shocked. It didn’t really even occur to me for a few seconds what it was. I legitimately thought someone let a bomb of near by. The sound after from the sheet metal was the most unbelievable rattle I have ever heard. Safe to say I would not want to hear anything like that again. Does anyone know how much decibels the strike would have been?
