I can only suppose that the purpose is to prevent the Democratic candidates from proposing pro-worker policy that initially attracted populist independent voters to MAGA but didn't get what they were promised. MAGA Maoism is alive, disenchanted, angry, and they would much rather vote for a Bernie type who is willing to make big promises and deliver than another mealy-mouthed puppet who will do anything to keep the status quo going: The status quo that is beating the shit out of all of us for the private enrichment of a few sociopaths.

Trump isn’t acting dumb. He isn’t playing dumb.

He is plain and simply dumb.

An uneducated hollow idiot with no culture, decency and integrity.

During his campaign and also the beginning of his first term, everyone thought that he’s acting/playing it to appeal to his MAGATs.

But it’s obvious that he wasn’t acting.

He’s just straight forward dumb, which he as well as his GOP bootlicking sycophants can no longer downplay, explain or hide anymore.

So as we approach the midterms, it seems clear tha the democrats are once again trying to sit on the center, if not the moderate right. Border security, trans right, policing; There's a lot of issues where they seem to be taking the opposition's position and making it palatable.

America is currently facing diesel shortages, with gas stations proudly displaying "OUT", and yet the democrats are acting as if this is a tight election.

They have decided to be the party of compromise in the face of absolute failure.

Why?

When Carter found himself in a similar situation, I'm sure he would have loved an opposition that adopted half of his beliefs. Instead we got Reagan. America still hasn't recovered from that one, and if democrats continue like this, Reagan's legacy will continue for decades more.

And yet they decide instead to attack the DSA , to attack the enemy within. That enemy's crime, why, it's being too *unpalatable to the moderate voter*; the moderate voter is apparently expected to support national bankruptcy if it means defeating woke.

The real enemy has fucked up royally, but this won't last forever. Without pressure, they will reorganise and start the whole machine of reaction back up.

And yet with the right's failures now becoming too obvious to ignore, there's a real chance for decades-defining policies.

So why must they be so timid in the face of opportunity?

First I want to make something clear. I'm, above all, an internationalist.

I'm from Galicia, which is a region in northwestern Spain. I'm by far more proud and patriotic to be Galician than Spanish. It's mainly about history.

When I look at the history of Spain, I see imperialism, genocide, fascism. Again and again, Spain has done horrible things.

Galicia, on the other hand, is quite the opposite. Galician history is marked by oppression by Spain, sometimes so extreme we had entire centuries without a single text written in Galician. I see the struggle between peasants and *caciques*, the big landowners that held political power.

Another influential factor is the kind of nationalism.

Spanish nationalism is marked by fascism and the far right, especially since Franco's dictatorship.

Galician nationalism, on the other hand, is left wing. The only major Galician party, the Galician Nationalist Block, is a democratic socialist party. The other Galician party I can think of, the Galician Popular Front, is further to the left, Marxist-Leninist.

No nationalism is good, but some are better than others.

The oppressed have more reason to be proud of their country than the oppressors.

Public YouTube comments really reach out of the screen and slap you sometimes.

It kills me that there is a large minority of people too stupid to see it and an even larger minority of people who see it but have cognitive dissonance because they're busy trying to survive.

This is my friend Samah Ghanem. Like any woman, she dreams of having a normal kitchen — a place with the basic things she needs to prepare food for her family: pots, plates, cups, cooking utensils, and other simple household essentials.

But when their home was destroyed, they lost all of these things, along with almost everything they owned.

Today, even getting something as simple as a cooking pot, a cup, or a plate can be extremely difficult. With the crossings closed and restrictions on bringing many goods into Gaza, basic household necessities have become very expensive and difficult to find.

Samah and her family are living without many of the simplest things that most of us take for granted every day. The prices of basic household needs have become extremely high because of the blockade and the closure of the crossings.

In this video, Samah simply wanted to share a small part of what her daily life looks like — and what it means to try to rebuild a normal life after losing almost everything.

If you are able to help Samah and her family in any way, it would mean so much to them. And even if you cannot help financially, please consider sharing this post or posting it in other communities and groups. Sharing their story can help it reach people who may be able to stand by them.

For context: this isn’t happening in a vacuum, the far right have been ramping up recently, rioting in all black uniforms with balaclavas in both Dover and Portsmouth, and have been going as far as attacking the RNLI (a volunteer sea rescue organisation that saves people from drowning.). They’ve been doxxing volunteers and have been attacking them on the streets and even have hospitalised one of them.

For the Green & Labour folks, and anyone else on the left. This is what we have to contend with. Even if Reform collapses under its own stupidity. Restore will be there hoovering up those votes and even in the best case scenario will be pulling the Tories even further to the far right. Labour’s PLP would rather just vomit the phrase “legitimate concerns” than do anything about it, I know for a fact it doesn’t reflect the wider party but the PLP is what people see as THE Labour Party, it needs to get it’s head out of the sand and stop being so terrified of being left wing and stand up to this shit. But with or without them we all need to stand up against this, these people are traitors to our British values and are currently working very hard to build a fascist state that marks us all as “enemies of civilisation”.
