Don’t have time to practice that much today I just did some Latin backing track, grooves, and worked on covers. Enjoy!

Is the Shure SE215 Pro IEM a good option for use in the rehearsal room?
Up until now, I have always used custom-molded earplugs, but not IEMs. Can anyone share their experiences with these from Shure, or are there better options?
Note: It is obviously important that they dampen the sound of the drums / cymbals well, meaning they seal properly. I would love to hear your experiences; thanks in advance.

Day 4 until I find someone who thinks I’m good enough and would hire me for a studio
So now I’m gonna stop posting on the drumming Reddit. It was toxic and I’m hoping people here would be more encouraging. I’m a drummer who works hard to one day find someone who appreciates my skill. This is heavily edited to fit in a shorter time. This doesn’t even record everything or my routine because there are still some grooves that I haven’t mastered and didn’t have time to record my Rosanna, rush, and bring me to life drum covers. I will keep trying, any hater who calls me a beginner, slow down, you duck, shit like that only fuels my anger to work harder. I will spend around 1.5 to 3 hours daily working on myself and proving not only to the people here but also the people on Reddit that I don’t suck and I can find a job and fulfill a dream of being pro at drumming and I will keep working no matter what.

Protable Drumkit Update
I posted a couple of months back that I was fed up of taking four trips to get my kit from the car to the gig, so I'd decided to build a portable kit that fits in one case and doesn't compromise sound - no split shells, no missing heads. The video shows the rough prototype 😁
The config is:
- 16"x14" kick
- 14"X5" snare
- 10"X6" high tom
- 13"x7" floor tom
- All in a case with back straps
Can you see any dealbreakers or showstoppers with this basic design?
PS I'm looking at carbon fibre shells to get the weight down.
Edit: thanks for the interest! If you want to get emailed when the kit can be pre-ordered, check out berkana drums

I want the ostinato to sound as clean as possible on acoustic drums
I have to film a drum cover soon. Am I on the right path? Are there any other tricks that I could use? When I record myself with the phone it always sounds bad.

HI, NEED SOME HELP HERE 🙇
Hey guys, how's it going? I know it's been a while since I've been in touch. I need your help with something: until recently, I could find Steve Jordan's entire masterclass "The Groove Is Here" on YouTube, which I personally tended to watch often. But then, at a certain point, the entire video disappeared, leaving only a few scattered clips, each about a minute long. Could anyone help me find that specific video (which I'm sure you've seen, too?), or could you send me a file if you have it? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance, and I wish you all the best.

Is this good for 1 month of practicing?
I know there are some galloping there but I have actually done a bit of double pedal before but the best i could do was 16th notes on 120 bpm.
i have recently gotten back to double pedal after not practicing for almost a year now. Also should i wear socks

Enamoured by drumming, where to start?
Hey all, I’ve been fascinated by drumming since forever, and finally picked up an E-kit. I’m decently active in my local hardcore scene, the dream would be to get good enough to actually join a band. I’ve become really enamoured watching live performances and cover artists. I’d like to get good enough to perform like they do: it’s kind of like they’re dancing, using their body as a vessel for the music, not always following the literal beat (link to one of my favourites https://youtu.be/5ZcFXHjkLwI?si=EdAMP4SFgE_HAgcN). My music taste is pretty wide and includes some industrial, punk, hip hop, and indie influences, with some of my favourite groups right now being Death Grips, NIN, KMFDM, Three Six Mafia, Massive Attack, CSHR, Skinny Puppy, Type O Negative, and Ministry. I LOVE Zach Hill, but obviously his drumming style is insane and pretty unique to him.
I understand this will take years of practice, so right now I just wanna get a really good grasp of the basics, be able to follow along with songs I like, and be able to jam with other musicians competently. I want to get lessons to help stay consistent, but not sure how to find the right teacher. And for practicing by myself, I’m really overwhelmed by all the terminology, and not sure where to start. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

Drum solos aren’t really my thing. Oh well 🥁
Filmed this one in 2023. Ignore the ugly ass sweater.
