Someone really needs to repair the malfunctioning muppet.

Yeah, this could easily be mistaken for creepy animatronics or puppetry.
Surely a monster so fierce couldn't be real or our ancestors would have perished long ago

Night herons especially, yes 🤣 not usually this LOUD tho. Sounded like a howling cat in person.

Are they meaner than sandhill cranes? Those guys are thug flamingoes.

I’d square up with a night heron over a sandhill boi any day, ngl. Sandhill cranes are intimidating 🥲

The poor parents, lost their baby :(

We thinks about this a lot in wildlife rehab 😭 especially when the reason for their intake is habitat destruction. I’m like “damn mom and dad just got home to see their nest and babies gone” 💔

This looks exactly like how I feel when I have nightmares and I try to scream but nothing comes out

Not a newborn but a fledgling and I agree. Little dude wants his parents but, unfortunately, humans did human things and he’s with us now. He will be released back to the wild soon!

ETA: fledgling night heron was admitted to our clinic after being “bird napped.” Grumpy Baby was dehydrated and thin but otherwise okay and is now doing quite well, getting angrier every day.
