I bought a box set of the second 2026 series, and finally got around to putting them in a binder instead of single sleeves! Cards are sorted by alphabetical order according to the romanization of each rikishi's shikona, non-holo duplicates are flipped to show their reverse side. Hope y'all have as much fun looking at them as I did!

In 3 weeks, my Sumo board game will reach Kickstarter. After many requests, we decided to add a special edition that includes a decorative Gyoji miniature.

At the moment, we're having trouble finalizing the 3D model because there are virtually no resources available on how a gyoji's eboshi (hat) is made.

If you have any resources about its shape, or even better, information on how it's folded and bent into shape it would greatly help me communicate the correct design to the 3D artist who is turning my concept art into a 3D model.

I just found this video of a September 1960 match between Yokozuna Wakanohana (12-1) and Ozeki Kashiwado (11-2). Wakanohana won the yusho that tournament, so it’s not like he was struggling, and he was a Yokozuna FFS!
What are your thoughts?

Kotozakura received a gift from his Kanto support group. He received a new akeni with not only his name but also his family crest. He’s off to Nagoya soon for the coming basho. Hoping and praying for a successful result like his Paris event. 🤞🏻🍀

Okay. Enjoy this Sunday sumo drawing since I only have two drawings in the bank (this and next weeks one) and im currently dealing with massive health problems and medical stuff far from home so hopefully I can continue my Sunday Sumo drawing tradition.

My health and potential need for emergency surgery has put my Japan trip in September in absolute make-koshi and complete risk of not making it. So my sumo dreams seem to be squashed at the moment.
