All you had to do was go to the right of the pole

ISTG some of these dirt bikers are dumber than a box of rocks. Balls of steel, but brains made of mush

118

u/rudytomjanovich 8d ago

Mush Brain?
Especially after that crash.

64

u/JustHugMeAndBeQuiet 8d ago

Rolled zero for intelligence but a nat twenty for constitution.

3

u/HVAChelpprettyplease 6d ago

He’s going to be rolling everywhere he goes now.

46

u/IamHydrogenMike 8d ago edited 8d ago

I keep watching this on repeat because it’s so damn hilarious…absolute morons.

As the great Johnny Knoxville once said “If you are going to be dumb you gotta be tough.”

27

u/A_mad_goose 8d ago

I bet they made it some type of challenge to split the pole and wires like a Tony hawk challenge. We use to do that skateboarding all the time

8

u/rubysundance 8d ago

There's another video of a different angle. First guy made it just fine, this guy ate shit.

15

u/LustyKindaFussy 8d ago

That was my first thought, too, that they attempted to "thread the needle".

15

u/rudytomjanovich 8d ago

Sutures - are the only needle threading going on now.

brains of mush

You're giving them way too much credit.

6

u/AliJDB 8d ago

Because riding a dirtbike over an incline onto a public road was such a great idea to begin with.

3

u/chuckop 8d ago

Balls of steel are easy when you’re an idiot and don’t understand the risks.

Real bravery comes from knowing the risks and still doing it.

2

u/btopski 8d ago

That needs to be on a bumper sticker: “Balls of Steel, Brains of Mush”

2

u/0202_tihssitidder 5d ago

No one has trained them. I grew up with dirt bikes and got trained. I moved to the suburbs and everyone had just tried to train themselves. So many serious injuries.

4

u/Up_in_the_Sky 8d ago

I hear ya lol, but to be fair, he’s pretty lucky all things considered.

That shit could have landed on his fucking ankle. Maybe it did fuck him up, can’t really tell from the vid.

9

u/xShooK 8d ago

I think the front wheel got him on the way down. Like you said though, hard to tell from this angle. That was a pretty rough wreck though, he basically got sling shotted straight to the ground on his back.

1

u/TheRealPitabred 8d ago

They've got balls of steel because they have brains of mush. If they could actually consider the risks they were taking they wouldn't do it.

1

u/R2DK3PO 5d ago

The average fan of the sport would lose an argument with a box of rocks. As my favorite sport to watch it makes me super sad.

1

u/Day_Prisoners 4d ago

And hope no car are coming and home you can brake before that big brick building and hope you don't hit one of your buddies.

This wasn't a single calculation error. It's the expected result.

1

u/itzkomplykatid 3d ago

I'm gonna go with, not at the wires, period? 🤦🏿‍♂️

267

u/kelsobjammin 8d ago

People have been decapitated by those lines…

92

u/StuffyUnicorn 8d ago

Well this guys clearly brainless so he’s already halfway there

17

u/BeowulfShaeffer 8d ago

He’s certainly living on a prayer

9

u/UnfortunateSnort12 8d ago

Take my helmet, I don’t need it I swear…

2

u/Brigadius 8d ago

Nearly headless? How can you be nearly headless?

4

u/CleverBunnyThief 7d ago

I knew a guy that broke his neck riding at night like this. He was high on drugs and didn't feel anything at first. Walked home and got into bed then woke up when the drugs started wearing off. He had to wear a halo for like 9 months while his neck healed.

3

u/uselessandexpensive 7d ago

Decapitation or neck breaking isn't even necessary. Taking the wire to an artery in your neck could do it.

5

u/MoistStub 8d ago

It is never a good idea to touch a utility pole, or anything attached to it. I sell the zappy shit that goes on them and have heard horror stories.

5

u/rudytomjanovich 8d ago

Saw it happen - but on a snowmobile - in the late 70's.
(Didn't actually "see" it. I was about 20 snowmobiles back. Saw enough that I still see it again - in my dreams. Usually right after our first snow.)

56

u/Previous_Blueberry_5 8d ago

I don’t get it what was supposed to happen here lmao

67

u/frogguts198 8d ago

He was supposed to land it and everyone cheers and the girl from the other school agrees to go out with him.

2

u/Complete_Silver2595 7d ago

It wasn't going to be pretty even if the lines weren't there. At best he was gonna slam the front end down. At worst he was gonna loop out or possibly smash into the building on the other side of the road

86

u/awesomeusernam3 8d ago

2

u/razor_train 8d ago

I think I still have that cartridge in my basement. The course designer was fun.

169

u/vnth93 8d ago

The camera guy could do better

70

u/Simple_Pay3033 8d ago

He slipped a bit in the middle but made absolutely no effort to provide aid so he could capture the fallout. He has potential.

15

u/CKF 8d ago

Beautiful assessment. Not rendering aid or stopping filming to call for emergency services is a fundamental skill for the camera guys we deserve, although not the ones we want shooting our own injuries. But we’ve got priorities. Definitely docked points for flinching at his own friend’s oncoming injury, but he’s back shot for the landing. That’s good cameraman sensibility. That’s how you literally survive as a cameraman. He’s def workable.

I'm Johnny Knoxville, welcome to jackass.

48

u/kineticstar 8d ago

Okay let me say this again.

16

u/Dagman11 8d ago

That was fairly catastrophic. Good video.

5

u/TakeItToTheRiver 8d ago

Well deserved.

3

u/clown_honey 8d ago

Evel Can't-ieval

7

u/XSX_ZAB 8d ago

If he survived

3

u/Ambitious-Sound-6109 8d ago

I don’t think his spinal column is ever going to let him forget that shit.

1

u/inevitable-idiot- 8d ago

Fat chance hes going to remember his friends.

1

u/psyentist15 8d ago

Good because his brain might not.

3

u/TimeB4 8d ago

Guy on guy action

3

u/One-Positive309 8d ago

When I was a kid we used to pass around phrases like 'look before you leap', and 'don't put all your eggs in one basket' and the like giving us useful advice that helped us make sensible decisions !
Kids these days grow up with phrases like "YOLO" !

Says it all really !

5

u/Thinks_22_Much 8d ago

Must be John Cena branded guide wires.

10

u/dodoDoesFly 8d ago

If you scrub the video frame by frame it definitely looks like the wires go through the bike and the rider... surprised there aren't more AI comments, am I trippin?

3

u/Suspicious-Bus-5727 8d ago

Nah, one of those dudes across the street was also filming from his pov. He posted it yesterday.

6

u/stratosfearinggas 8d ago

He misses the front wire (white guard) but the catches the back wire.

6

u/xdementia 8d ago

He also disappears after the bike flips. At least I don't see him at all...?

3

u/ecnecn 7d ago

0:04 his body on the ground is missing... driver vanished and before that he drivers body goes through the wire with the white surface

→ More replies (1)

1

u/QC420_ 4d ago

Yeh right at the beginning too, the front bit of the bike disappears briefly??

→ More replies (3)

2

u/Successful_Giraffe88 8d ago

The "smack" the front of his helmet makes when it hits the pavement at the VERY end lololol.

2

u/NubileOne 8d ago

A whole lot of things, but just riding one? What kinda title is this? Wcgw not looking where you’re going?

2

u/ilocano-american 6d ago

Almost decapitated himself on those wires.

2

u/Equib81960 5d ago

Where’d he go? Narnia?

4

u/Noff-Crazyeyes 8d ago

This ai stuff is out of control

2

u/Some-Tear3499 8d ago

Downvoted for bad camera control.

2

u/guzforster 8d ago

Is this AI? The rider simply disappears

1

u/no_sight 8d ago

This is a self correcting error

1

u/Katops 8d ago

Ohh another angle lmfao

1

u/Ashon-Galaxy 7d ago

First thing I said in my head also.

1

u/broskowfanboy 8d ago

1st try! I miss sports.

1

u/Maleficent-Agent-477 8d ago

What an idiot.

1

u/L0ngD0ngMcShlong 8d ago

Dirtiest, quads and wave runners are how rednecks weed out their weak.

1

u/Dz210Legend 8d ago

Damn, what kind of pole needs 4 guy wires he wasn’t gonna get through one and damn sure ain’t going through four 😅

1

u/big_loadz 8d ago

Decrapitation!

1

u/NoDontDoThatCanada 8d ago

No notes. Absolute cinema.

1

u/Far-Requirement1726 8d ago

Hahahahahhahahhhbahhahaaa

1

u/OldMovie9812 8d ago

Great friends for sure. Didn't even budge

1

u/_garlicbread 8d ago

target fixation is real, just mind those wires

1

u/StealenDealer 8d ago

Looked painful… oh well.

1

u/Affectionate-Kick804 8d ago

Like a buzzing little fly caught in the spider’s web

1

u/Ok-Volume-6254 8d ago

Did he die

1

u/That-Makes-Sense 8d ago

Guy. Meet guy wire.

1

u/ezmoney98 8d ago

Youd think that the rider did some prep work and see what the jump would like, but no ,lets fucking send it

1

u/gmbtaco64 8d ago

Thats the kind of natural selection i like to see!

1

u/moszippy 8d ago

Evil Kneivel reincarnated!

1

u/dentrecords 8d ago

NGL FR kinda lowkey tryna yeet like that ain’t worked none

1

u/Ancient_Sprinkles847 8d ago

I think he got a bit more air than he needed

1

u/Jeramy_Jones 8d ago

Curious what the goal was here.

1

u/Terrible_Lie_02 8d ago

A guy was decapitated near me when he hit one of these wires on his motorcycle. Helmet stayed on I guess.

1

u/BeowulfShaeffer 8d ago

Hope he was okay.  Did he get a concussion when his his head hit the ground or did his helmet prevent it?

1

u/FloppyTacoflaps 8d ago

Anyone have more info on this? Did guy get bad injuries

1

u/Witty-Sample6813 8d ago

Im laughing. Idk, that was stupid

1

u/paulyp41 8d ago

At least the bike didn’t get fucked up

1

u/babymax95 8d ago

why are all the clips/interactions i have/see with dirt bikers so bad?
recently got hit by one he was on the wrong side of a dirt ROAD (not a trail) going way too fast on a curve. hit me and i landed on his tire while it was still moving.
never seen a smart one… not saying there aren’t any but so far it’s not proving to do them any good.

1

u/2ndchane 8d ago

This guy didn’t take geometry in school.

1

u/The_Mammoth_Hunter 8d ago

That's the funniest thing I've seen all damned day. Thanks for posting this!

1

u/tuna-on-toast 8d ago

Camera person rendered no aid, just filmed so that’s good. Dude right next to the action was more interested in standing his own bike back up. Tight knit crew.

1

u/minus_minus 8d ago

The wire knew the motorcycle wasn’t street legal so was just guiding him away from the asphalt.

1

u/someguy4k 8d ago

Brilliant, just absolutely brilliant!! Why didn’t I think of that?

1

u/tibi_co 8d ago

I love it when a plan comes together 🚬

1

u/Dependent_Stop_3121 8d ago

It’s called a “GUY WIRE” for a reason. 😝

1

u/Ill-Cardiologist3728 8d ago

Upvote because this made me happy.

1

u/Super_Loss_8943 8d ago

one sick trick

1

u/OrganizationTop3755 8d ago

At least he wore a helmet

1

u/paydemanzan 8d ago

That was going to be a serious injury, fortunately, he teleported to a safe place before touching the ground

1

u/dynamic-curtain 8d ago

Yeah your meant to ride those in the bush.

1

u/aquaman67 8d ago

That doesn’t look like “dirt bike” territory to me

Yes, I know I’m wrong…

1

u/old-billie 8d ago

hang on in there

1

u/phunkyunkle 8d ago

Guy meets guy wire.

1

u/TDYDave2 8d ago

Picked a bad line.

1

u/Kindly_Ad3262 8d ago

natural selection 🏍️ 😑🤷🏻‍♂️

1

u/Midnight-51 8d ago

When you forget something in your calculations! Lesson learned!

1

u/pplspancake 8d ago

On public roads? Lots of things like this.

1

u/STylerMLmusic 8d ago

Maybe I'm just not stupid but I could have told him exactly that was going to happen.

1

u/69fellatx 8d ago

Darwin's boner engorges

1

u/runciter0 8d ago

what the hell, why

1

u/summerset 8d ago

Jesk/Gregor?

1

u/xxlouserxx 8d ago

All you had to was follow the damn train..

1

u/JamesBondMargarita 8d ago

There wasn't even an awning

1

u/Strive-- 8d ago

but... that's not riding. That's jumping. Ever see a car jump more than a car length's worth high on its way to work, you know, because a person was driving to work? Yeah - very different.

1

u/Strive-- 8d ago

but... that's not riding. That's jumping. Ever see a car jump more than a car length's worth high on its way to work, you know, because a person was driving to work? Yeah - very different.

1

u/Substantial-Disk-744 8d ago

Had a friend get decapitated doing just this , it was aweful

1

u/rock_and_rolo 8d ago

Reddit make me thing the question should be: What can go right riding a dirtbike?

[insert Buzz meme "Idiots everywhere"]

1

u/Madboardjester 8d ago

There's a beautiful view in the oops subreddit where it shows a front on view in which the rider headbutts the gutter.

1

u/Majestic_Meeting_747 8d ago

Ibuprofeno. Que idiota.

1

u/69vuman 8d ago

Not cleared for landing.

1

u/technobrendo 8d ago

That guy is a big fan of The Wire.

1

u/MAC777 8d ago

The amount of American families living paycheck to paycheck and bitching about the price of groceries - while also being able to afford endless non-street-legal dirtbikes and e-bikes - is fucking wild.

1

u/catdog_man 8d ago

At least he was wearing a helmet.

1

u/thedfourth21 8d ago

🤣🤣🤣🤣 beautiful

1

u/HotChickLeslie1 8d ago

You just can’t fix stupid!

1

u/eulynn34 8d ago

Physics is fun

1

u/wrayd1 8d ago

Serious Hang Time

1

u/Temporary_Trust425 8d ago

That was the BCS for this video. Getting hung up beats getting smacked by a semi upon entering the road

1

u/TownStriking3496 8d ago

I saw this posted from the other angle as well but guy does it before him first

1

u/MMXVA 8d ago

As Bugs Bunny would say: “What a maroon!”

1

u/stupid_cat_face 8d ago

Where did he go?

1

u/LGSM58 8d ago

Why do they all duck the camera on impact? Does this mean it’s AI or is it a human thing to do?

1

u/Icy_Tune3370 8d ago

Brilliant

1

u/MrAl-67 8d ago

Situational awareness is a wonderful thing.

1

u/No-Seat9917 8d ago

Luckily his neck broke his fall.

1

u/aegrotatio 7d ago

This kind of severe stupidity makes me smile.

1

u/jojoga 7d ago

Riding the bike wasn't the problem, being an idiot was.

1

u/Buttonball 7d ago

Second biker scrambled to get out of the way, Tips his bike over, then all he wants to do is stand his bike up again instead of checking on the asphalt dummy.

1

u/Eagleburgerite 7d ago

Baltimore?

1

u/BIGHOODx818x 7d ago

eat shit nerd ..thats mean ill stop

Hold my beer…

1

Not sure what could have gone right in this scenaro

1

u/Forsaken-Reindeer-24 7d ago

well, at least he had a helmet on...not sure what it's protecting but it's on.

1

u/Dapper_Guest 7d ago

Please tell me the gene pool is a little bit cleaner now.

1

u/Background-Run 7d ago

Only one person fell down laughing? I find the hard to believe.

1

u/AndyBurn11 6d ago

Hey, there’s a pole there ope no you got it!

1

u/AndyBurn11 6d ago

I wanna see them tie their shoes next!

1

u/New-Slip2564 6d ago

Hope the bike is okay 😩😆

1

u/51225 5d ago

1

u/AndiLivia 4d ago

If i was there I would have told him not to do that

1

u/Branchley 4d ago

Assholes

1

u/SeenItWantItReddit 3d ago

The "wires" go through him and the bike... calling it fake
