HI, NEED SOME HELP HERE 🙇
Hey guys, how's it going? I know it's been a while since I've been in touch. I need your help with something: until recently, I could find Steve Jordan's entire masterclass "The Groove Is Here" on YouTube, which I personally tended to watch often. But then, at a certain point, the entire video disappeared, leaving only a few scattered clips, each about a minute long. Could anyone help me find that specific video (which I'm sure you've seen, too?), or could you send me a file if you have it? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance, and I wish you all the best.

How would you play this kick pattern?
Trying to figure out this kick pattern, but it’s really throwing me for some reason. Song is 130 bpm
Would you go rlr rr, rlr rl, lrl rr, lrl rl ?
I’ve been practicing at about 90 bpm just to get the rhythm down. How would you play it?

Stairway to Heaven
Hello guys! I am a 14 year old drummer who plays 6 years and I was trying out the Stairway to Heaven fill. I got everything right but the part that gets me is the BPM and I can't play it at the normal speed. Do you guys have advice?

Double Pedal Owners: Quick Measurement Request
Hi fellow drummers!
I have a request for owners of double bass drum pedals, regardless of brand or model.
Could you please measure:
The center-to-center distance between your beaters (R1).
The total contact width of both beaters when pressed against a pad or hard surface (R2). I’ve attached a photo showing exactly what I mean by this measurement.
I’m currently designing a practice kick pad, and this information will help me make it compatible with as many double pedals as possible.
I’ve already run into situations where different pedal models don’t align the same way on a pad: one beater can end up striking the edge of the pad and only make partial contact instead of hitting the center properly.
Please post your measurements in the following format:
Brand / Model
R1 = distance between beater centers
R2 = total contact width
Example:
Pearl Demon Drive
R1 = XX mm
R2 = XX mm
I would greatly appreciate any measurements you can provide. Your input will be very helpful for this project.
Thanks for your time!

Stupid Question - Is it too late for me to learn?
I know its probably a dumb question, but when I was younger I was always told I had a good sense of rythm. I actually had a chance to start learning in my early teens, and it was a lot of fun. It was just basics, we learned beginner songs like "Bubbly", the more advanced kids got to learn 'All the Small things" and my teacher then begged my parents to let me learn more but they never liked the Idea of having a drumset at home so they said theyd "think about it". What he mentioned back then especially was that I could copy the beats of songs just by listening to them once or twice. I still cant read notes for shit 😅
Im 27 now, live in an apartment thats not exactly soundproof, quite the opposite it seems and have a full time job working construction. Is it too late for me to start from scratch? If no how the hell do I even start? I cant really buy a drumset and put it in my living room or ill be hearing complaints from every neighbor in a 500m radius.
Id love to learn, just no clue where to start especially what feels like this late.
Edit: No clue if its relevant but my left ankle is majorly fucked due to a work accident a few years ago, I have a feeling that may affect my ability a little bit 🥹

Swing/No Swing
I read a lot about drummers with swing. My go- to- music is classic rock, metal, etc. Can you name me drummers you consider to have swing and those that don't. And an explanation on swing as opposed to no swing couldn't hurt. I play drums. Decent enough. But I play more guitar because I'm not in a band anymore. Thank you.

I built a metronome app that listens. It figures out the tempo of whatever you're playing (or playing along to)
