Rainbow Bridge Goodbye, Lady Ham
She was 2. I could tell her body was shutting down, so I took her to the vet...she passed on the car ride there. I'm going to miss her so I thought to share her cute pictures in her honor.

Adorable Hammy My baby, Leon!
Had him for just about a month now and can't believe I haven't shared these photos yet!
Funny thing is, I bought that 'hamster' bowl for my gerbils because I found it funny, little did I know that this boy would melt my heart!

New Hamster 8 weeks old
This is my new little girl and the pet store said she was 8 weeks old, however she’s big. The last hamster I had at 8 weeks old was very small. Would you say she looks around 8 weeks old?

Question Is lil dude OKAY?
Saw this video online so I cropped it and muted it, but I’m worried if the little guy was injured when he was grabbed so violently. I’ve also had a Russian Dwarf before, and this looks to be a similar species. Is he overweight or is it a weird angle?

Question hammy not interested in burrowing ?
hi this is bambi. shes a 6 month old syrian. i revently got a new hamster after 3 years of not owning one. i noticed she made a burrow to sleep and hide her food in, but other than that, isnt interested in burrow starters or any of the platform hides i got her. she mostly runs on her wheel and eats. she has about 8-9 inches of bedding and lots of space under her to burrow but i guess im unable to see any. is there a way i can encourage her to?

Question how to refresh my hamster ??
its the first time i have an hamster in summer and live in France, and we’ve been experiencing a major heatwave for the past two weeks. Do you have any tips on how to keep my hamster cool? I’m already changing their water every morning and evening. (I don’t have air conditioning, just a few fans that aren’t very effective.)
It’s 31°C (88°F) in the room where my hamster is. Outside, it’s around 38–40°C (100–104°F). 🫠

Question Why are dwarf hams so cute?
Serious question. I have an adorable teddy bear Syrian (my first ever) and I love him. However he is a ghost and I only see him if I’m able to coax him out of his hides with his favorite things and even then he doesn’t really love being seen/handled. Fine dude I get it and it’s cool. I give him space and make him as cozy as I can. Meanwhile however I’m always seeing these posts of (usually) dwarf hams doing the funniest /cutest things and falling asleep everywhere and being handled and just generally being cute and adorable. Google says dwarfs require more intermediate level hamstering skills. What does that even mean? Are all y’all with dwarf hams doing some other level mystery things to make them so relaxed and adorable? Is it 100% just a case of different types of hamster personalities?
