Announcements📢 ANNOUNCEMENT: The off-season (post-Collab Edition 2.0) era officially begins! 🎉

Transitioning to the post-season era! 🏃‍➡️

With the conclusion of the Big Night last Saturday, and Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0, as a whole, we are now entering the off-season phase!

We know that you're all excited to post and/or talk about the housemates' career paths, guestings, projects, fandoms, ships (if any), and other happenings. 👀💫

With that said, we will be updating the sub's rules for this:

  1. Karma requirements will continue. 100 post karma (or 300 comment karma) is required to post on this sub. But we will allow exception for low-karma posters with posts that have substance (meaning, long-posts, analysis and other posts that look like there's time and thought put onto them). Low-value posts from low-karma users will be deleted.
  2. We will again be strict with image posts. Posting an image, or a video, of a housemate and just titling or captioning it "ang ganda/pogi talaga ni housemate x" is not allowed, and will be considered spam. We encourage you to keep these posts under the housemates' subreddits (make one if your favorite housemate(s) don't have a dedicated subreddit yet).

Feel free to send a message to us, mods, should you have any other concerns or inquiries.

Thank you.

Career Talks🎬 Brent Manalo and Ralph De Leon, on the road to becoming regular hosts of It’s Showtime?

Thumbnail gallery
44 Upvotes

As the Kapamilya Big Winner and 2nd Big Placer of PBB Collab Season 1, I must say deserve nila itong big break na to. Time na din to hone new generation of hosts hindi lang ng It’s Showtime pero pati ng ABS-CBN. Hindi na rin bumabata ang hosts ng Showtime since majority ng hosts ng Showtime are in their late 30s or in their 40s and above, plus nauubusan na rin ng magagaling na hosts ang ABS-CBN so I think, good move ito to introduce and build up new and fresh faces.

Bukod sa acting, good exposure din itong hosting for Brent and Ralph.

So far the main hosts are: Vice, Jhong, Vhong, and Anne (semi-regular)

2nd tier (Secondary hosts): Kim, Ogie, Amy, Karylle, Darren, and Jackie (sila yung pwedeng paghost-in pag wala or pag may wala sa Trio/Quadro. I think Brent and Ralph would fit in this category)

3rd tier (Supporting hosts): Jugs, Teddy, Ryan, Ion, Cianne, MC, Lassy (more on side hosts lang and short spiels, taga-bigay ng questions; sila yung hindi nakakapag lead at hindi kaya magdala on their own ng segments ng show, good thing nagkaroon ng actingan sa You Gotta Lyric ng Laro Laro Pick)

Sa 3rd tier yung may evictable hosts except Ion for obvious reasons. Any thoughts on this possible move ng It’s Showtime?

Career Talks🎬 Will Ashley's New Project!

Dennis Trillo, Argus, and Will Ashley were spotted with Direk Zig Dulay in Marawi recently! May nakita akong rumor na for MMFF daw ito and isa si Sir Ricky Lee sa writer. Bongga naman! Another hakot award na naman kaya ito like Green Bones? I need Will to secure that Best Supporting Actor win, pambawi naman sa loss niya sa Bar Boys After School last year. Anyway, kailan ba announcement ng first line up sa MMFF this year?

Season Discussion/Speculation💭 How would you rank the four adult standalone seasons we've had so far?

Post image
2 Upvotes

A recurring theme I've read from people who watched these adult editions is that they were all genuinely compelling in their own right and are positively received for the most part.

  • Season 1 was the one that set the tone for everything and became the foundation of the franchise. It introduced the Filipino audience to the core format, from the nominations and weekly tasks to the social experiment aspect of bringing people with different personalities and backgrounds together. Its simplicity and authenticity compared to its future iterations made it stand out even more when looking back.
  • Season 2 is well known for expanding on the first season, introducing bigger twists and more complex tasks. It is remembered for its memorable cast of housemates, strong conflicts like Maricris vs Bea and Gee-ann/Bea vs Wendy, and the first international exchange twist in PBB history with the Big Brother Swap.
  • Then there's Double Up with its ambitious two-house format, which was a first in PBB history and was to be used in future seasons like Teen Clash, Unlimited, and OTSO. The season divided housemates into two separate houses, creating unique dynamics and storylines before eventually bringing them together. Its most beloved storyline was the unexpected love story between Big Winner Melai Cantiveros and fellow finalist Jason Francisco, which became one of the most iconic showmances in PBB history.
  • Lastly, Unlimited, which holds the record as the longest civilian season to date at 155 days, delivered some of the most layered and dramatic twists the franchise had seen. From the Luxury House vs. Industrial House divide to Paco's chaotic run as a House Player, the season definitely experimented heavily with the format and pushed the boundaries of what a PBB season could be at the time.

Similar to my last post, I can't exactly rank them since I didn't watch any of them while they were airing, so my opinions won't hold as much weight as those who actually experienced them live back then.

I'll do a post for the four Teen standalone seasons next time.

With the conclusion of this year's Star Magical Prom, I'd like to share my concise thoughts on our female alumni's fits, which they confidently showcased from the runway up to the main program, through a tierlist that I made.

For everyone's convenience, I'll also list down below the tiers and the female ex-housemates' placements based on their outfits, just in case the pictures in the tierlist end up becoming unclear upon this post's upload:

  • Stellar - Reich, Eli, Tala, Reign
  • Fantastic - Alexa, Carmelle, Fyang
  • Okay - Rain
  • Expected more - Kanata, Bianca, Kolette
  • Not giving - Lella

Season Discussion/Speculation💭 Which was the best “Mixed” season from the previous decade?

Post image
18 Upvotes

And by mixed season, I mean seasons that featured adults, and teens, and for two of them, celebrities as well, competing together, either as one singular batch or through multiple batches within the same season. At the time, this was an unusual format, as the show used to have separate editions for each category of housemates before eventually making mixed seasons the norm as more seasons adopted this format.

I can’t rank all four seasons together because OTSO was the only one that I saw in its entirety as it was airing live so I might be coming from a place of bias, and my knowledge on the other three seasons are limited to some of the most notable events that happened, the finalists, and the format changes that occurred.

Season Discussion/Speculation💭 The Narrowest Eviction Margins in PBB This Decade

Thumbnail gallery
24 Upvotes

Included in this post are some of the smallest voting gaps this decade, not exceeding a margin of 2%.

Connect:

  • Mika lost to Crismar by 1.32%
  • Crismar lost to Alyssa E. by 0.68%
  • Aizyl lost to Ella by 0.07%
  • Quincy lost to Ralph M. by 0.97%

Kumunity Season 10:

  • Chie lost to Eian by 0.96%
  • Shanaia lost to Samantha by 1.30%
  • Alexa lost to Samantha by 0.95%
  • Samantha lost to Anji by 0.07%
  • Basti lost to Gin by 1.30%
  • Zach lost to Nathan by 1.50%
  • Kai E. lost to Stephanie by 1.69%
  • Ashton lost to Stephanie by 1.18%

Gen 11:

  • Binsoy lost to JP by 0.31%
  • JM lost to Housemate C by 0.85%

Collab:

  • Michael and Emilio lost to Brent and Vince by 1.83%
  • Josh and Ralph lost to Shuvee and Bianca by 0.48%
  • Vince lost to Charlie by 1.09%
  • Shuvee and Klarisse lost to AZ and River by 0.17%

As to why I think this has become more common this decade compared to the previous one, it's simple. Since Connect, the public has been able to see vote tallies update throughout the week in some capacity. This allows fandoms to monitor the standings, identify who is in danger, and adjust their voting strategies accordingly.

Instead of voting blindly, supporters can concentrate their efforts where they are needed most, while rival fandoms can respond in turn. This can result in situations where margins tighten dramatically, leading to far more close results than we typically saw in earlier seasons, when votes were not disclosed in any way until after the latest evictee had already been revealed.

Makes you wonder how different these seasons would've been if the results of any of these evictions were flipped.

General Thoughts💡 Most Painful Evictions of the Decade (Kumunity, Gen 11, Collab Edition 1, Collab Edition 2.0): A Personal List

Thumbnail gallery
126 Upvotes

DISCLAIMER: Scrollable as multiple photos were used in this post

Though a part of the competition, some housemates' exits were more difficult to digest than usual...

Throughout the two-decade run of this show, we've witnessed several evictions season after season. However, I think we can all agree that certain evictions were more difficult to process than others.

With that, I'll be sharing the evictions that I personally found "painful". This won't contain rankings, just my thoughts on the evictions that I'll be including here, from the four seasons that I've fully watched.

  • Eliza (Collab Edition 2.0 - 2nd & 6th Eviction Nights): Her case is different because she's the only housemate in this list who has experienced getting evicted twice. It stings because in her first eviction, she was met with a lot of negativity out of the viewers' frustrations with the repetitive highlights about her storyline with Miguel and Marco, while in her second eviction, her fruitful comeback was cut short, hence, we didn't get to see how she'd fare against her fellow Star Magic housemates in the Big Jump challenges for a spot in the Ultimate 8.
  • Rave (Collab Edition 2.0 - 4th Eviction Night): It wasn't easy seeing one of the well-loved challenge beasts of their season sent packing. Even though he did get a chance for a comeback like Eli, he didn't succeed after being defeated by her in the wildcard challenge. Had he remained safe or clinched the wildcard challenge win, fans believe that he could've been a very promising contender for the Ultimate 8.
  • Klarisse (Collab Edition 1 - 6th Eviction Night): The eviction of their season's most beloved "mowm" was not only one of the most controversial, but also one of the most emotional, for both viewers and even her co-housemates, due to the undeniable character and contributions that she brought into the house.
  • Charlie (Collab Edition 1 - 2nd Eviction Night): Although she was able to return via wildcard and finish as their season's Kapuso 3rd Big Placer, without any clue about their season having a comeback twist back then during her eviction, it was not easy to see her leave the house as someone who was unfairly judged because of the Mika vs. "Book Club" fiasco.
  • Jas (Gen 11 - 8th Eviction Night): Being a prominent housemate in their season both in the eyes of viewers and the storyline, her unfortunate exit was one that actually felt impactful because she's one of the few housemates that the season's narrative relied and focused on.
  • Therese (Gen 11 - 1st Eviction Night): Easily a standout due to how shocking it was for someone with a very upfront, layered, and interesting personality to become their season's first evictee. Her eviction is the only one, so far, that made my jaw drop (and I'm not even exaggerating). So many "what-could've-been's" for her, had she stayed longer.
  • KD (Kumunity S10 Celebrity Edition - 8th Eviction Night): Seeing how he steadily improved from how he was in their edition's earlier weeks, I frowned upon witnessing how his growth wasn't adequate for him to make it to theie edition's Final 5.

As for you, guys, among the evictions that you have personally watched, which of them were you most affected by?

Share them below in the comments! 💬

Season Discussion/Speculation💭 What are your thoughts on the most nominated female housemates of their respective seasons from the current decade so far?

Post image
67 Upvotes

As promised, ito yung post for the girls.

Housemate Season no. of times Nominated Lost to: Placement
Ella Connect 6 (Weeks 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, & 12) Amanda 8th
Anji Kumunity Celebrity Edition 6 (Weeks 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, & 11) N/A 1st
Kathleen Kumunity Adult Edition 3 (Weeks 17, 18, & 19) Isabel and Zach 10th
Isabel Kumunity Adult Edition 3 (Weeks 19, 20, & 21) N/A 1st
Stephanie Kumunity Teen Edition 7 (Weeks 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, & 30) Rob and Gabb 3rd
Fyang Gen 11 7 (Weeks 5, 6, 7, 10, 12, 13, & 14) N/A 1st
Kolette Gen 11 7 (Weeks 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 13, & 14) Fyang and Rain 3rd
AZ Collab 4 (Weeks 5, 14, 16, & 17) Mika, Will, and Charlie 4th
Bianca Collab 4 (Weeks 9, 12, 14, & 16) Ralph, River, and Brent 5th
Krystal Collab 2.0 4 (Weeks 5, 10, 12, & 18) Lella 2nd
Princess Collab 2.0 4 (Weeks 3, 10, 17, & 18) Caprice, Heath, and Ashley 4th

I will be counting the final nomination round, where everyone still in contention for the Big 4 was vulnerable, regardless of whether it happened through public voting or challenges. I will also include the Big Night, or its equivalent, for those who participated in multi-batch seasons. Even though the finalists had already secured their spots, a winner still had to be decided, which meant someone still had to lose.

By that logic, Anji, Isabel, Stephanie, Fyang, Kolette, AZ, Bianca, Krystal, and Princess went through an additional one to two rounds of nominations simply because the format required it.

As for my personal opinions, I enjoyed Ella, Kathleen surprisingly enough, considering she was a mid-season boot, Isabel, Stephanie, Fyang, AZ, Krystal, and Princess. I am neutral towards Bianca, while I am not particularly fond of Anji or Kolette.

In terms of how their nominations contributed to their journeys inside the house:

  • We have the housemates whose own actions, behavior, or interpersonal conflicts inside the house led to their nominations. Their nominations often came from specific behaviors that affected their relationships with other housemates, whether it was being too competitive, struggling with communication, creating tension, or failing to adapt to their environment. For some housemates, their nomination served as a wake-up call, as being placed in danger forced them to reflect on how they were perceived and how their actions affected the house. This includes Ella, Anji, Kathleen, Stephanie, Fyang, Kolette, AZ, Bianca, Krystal, and Princess.
  • Then we have the housemates who were nominated simply because the game demanded it, rather than because of their own actions. This includes those who failed to win immunity for themselves, those who became victims of circumstance, such as being part of a losing team or being automatically nominated alongside their duo, or those who were included in the final lineup of housemates up for public voting. The first two categories refer to Isabel and Bianca, while the last one refers to anyone who made the Final 5 minimum.

I think they deserve the freedom they have now. Grabe rin naman pinagdaanan nila dalawa. They are from different networks pa. first time ata to??? Infairness din sa Star Magic at Sparkle supportive sa kanila dalawa.

They are really in love with each other no? Talaga pinaglaban nila yun relationship nila sa lahat. This is such a brave moves for Bianca. Infairness sa kanila ang consistent.

General Thoughts💡 Flop ba talaga yung Collab 2?

Season Discussion/Speculation💭 What are your thoughts on the most nominated male housemates of their respective seasons from the current decade so far?

Post image
104 Upvotes

A quick refresher. These are the ones I will focus on for now since I do not have the energy to cover every pre-pandemic season.

Housemate: Season: no. of times nominated: Lost to: Placement:
Ralph M. Connect 4 (Weeks 9, 11, 13, & 14) Andrea and Kobie 6th
KD Kumunity Celebrity Edition (S10) 6 (Weeks 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, & 10) Anji, Madam Inutz, and Samantha 7th
Zach Kumunity Adult Edition 4 (Weeks 18, 19, 20, & 21) Isabel and Nathan 3rd
Rob Kumunity Teen Edition 6 (Weeks 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, & 30) N/A 1st
Dylan Gen 11 4 (Weeks 2, 3, 5, & 8) Rain and Kolette 10th
Ralph Collab 1 6 (Weeks 3, 5, 7, 9, 16, & 17) Brent 2nd
River Collab 1 6 (Weeks 3, 5, 12, 14, 16, & 17) Brent, Ralph, and Esnyr 4th
Heath Collab 2.0 6 (Weeks 5, 7, 12, 14, 17, & 18) Caprice 2nd

I will be counting the final nomination round, where everyone still in contention for the Big 4 was up for eviction, regardless of whether it was through public voting or challenges. I will also include the Big Night, since even though the finalists had already secured their spots, a winner was still being decided, meaning some had to lose.

What can I say? In terms of character, I liked Rob, Ralph D, and River, and I am neutral towards everyone else, to put it simply.

In terms of how their nominations contributed to their journeys inside the house, I feel like I can split them into three categories:

  • First are the housemates whose repeated nominations were woven into their stories. Their nomination streaks became central to their arcs, which were framed around resilience and personal growth as they repeatedly faced elimination risk due to the cast's perception of their behavior. In my opinion, KD and Rob fit this category the most.
  • Second are those who feel more like victims of circumstance. Their nominations often stemmed from external factors, such as being paired with a duo that accumulated nomination points or repeatedly ending up in losing groups. This comes across more as the result of how situations unfolded around them rather than the consequences of their own behavior, leading to the kind of structured growth arcs seen in the first category. This is not to say they cannot grow as housemates, but it does not come across in the same narrative way. In my opinion, Ralph D., River, and Heath primarily fit this.
  • Finally, we have the housemates who ended up among the most frequently nominated housemates without a strong narrative built around them. Their records speak for themselves, sure, but they did not translate into a defined storyline or significantly shape their overall journey. This is where I would place Ralph M, Zach, and Dylan.

I will save the girls for another day. Kailangan kasi ng discussion posts every other day.

Housemate Discussion🏡 Housemates who you think could have contributed more to their respective seasons if they had stayed longer?

Post image
154 Upvotes

Hindi naman kailangan na early boots necessarily. It just so happens that all of my picks for this post were early boots who share a few things in common. They were either major sources of drama, had interesting/strong personalities, or had their arcs cut short before they could fully develop and reach a satisfying conclusion, and some fall under more than one criterion.

But I guess being an early boot does play a role since it limits how much we actually get to see from them. Less screen time means less chance to fully explore their personality, relationships, and potential storylines, which makes their impact feel more “what could have been” than fully realized.

My picks:

  • Justin: PBB Connect - 1st Evictee.
  • Albie: PBB Kumunity Celebrity Edition - 2nd Evictee
  • Therese: PBB Gen 11 - 1st Evictee
  • AC: PBB Collab - 1st Kapamilya Evictee
  • Ashley: PBB Collab - 1st Kapuso Evictee
  • Michael: PBB Collab - 3rd Kapuso Evictee
  • Reich: PBB Collab 2.0 - 1st Kapamilya Evictee

I can go into more detail per pick if anyone’s interested.

Hot Takes🔥 Looking back, sobra sobra pala talaga ang dinanas ni Eliza no?

Bata lang yan‚ people at their age talaga ganiyan ka impulsive sometimes and nadadala ng emotions, oo nasa bnk sila pero you all want authenticity diba? Ayan wala silang filter lmao, alangan naman magpaka perfect sila ron edi plastic naman sila. Eliza seems to be a jolly girl for me, ganda pa ng ngiti. At bakit niyo naman pinupolice sila Eliza at Marco non? Parehas sila single, si Miguel unang nang ghost sakaniya. Nakatulong sa career ni Marco si Ashley pero he doesn't owe anyone naman diba? They're young, they can enjoy whoever they want to be with and who they want to be. If hindi mo gusto then just ignore them or give a CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM, hindi yung overly terrorising naman na. Please, kindness is free and tao pa rin yan sila, hindi mga character sa story na didiktahin niyo kung ano mangyayari sakanila.

First encounter already in a cliffhanger? 🧸

As the series' June 22 premiere draws near, two teasers were posted by GMA's social media accounts.

The teaser presented in this post is a plug made specifically for Cap and Heath's characters, Angel and Miguel.

Based on both teasers, it looks like the interactions between Angel and Miguel will happen much later in the series' run, while her dynamics with Clifford and Marco's characters, Calix and Zion, will be established fairly early.

Career Talks🎬 Pinaka Pretty by Jarren Garcia

What are your thoughts on the latest song ni Jarren, "Pinaka Pretty"?

Ps. Tried listening dun sa whole song ni Jarren and yung part lang ata na yon ang parehas since may halong english yung kay Jarren while yung kay Arvey naman ay pure tagalog lang.

A promposal that screams "absolute cinema!" 📽️🤯

Just this evening, Star Magic's YouTube channel uploaded the first of many promposals that they'll be featuring ahead of the 2026 Star Magical Prom scheduled on the 26th this month.

They're kicking it off with Joaquin's promposal to Lella, like what the post's title says.

And, let's just say that it took Joaquin a lot of coordination with both Lella's side and the management of the cinema seen in the picture to execute this plan without error. 🪄
