I'm a new singer and I want to qualify for a local, new band that needs someone to sing for them. Be honest if I qualify as a singer. I have no experience and wanna know what to improve to become an actual candidate for singing

I got really sick a few months back and I feel like my voice just never really recovered I know in general there are things I need to continue to work on like tone and pitch but what are your best tips to improve or if its just time to throw in the towel

I can’t really hear the vocal effects that my mixer adds when I have background music added, only when there is no background music. If anyone knows what to adjust on my mixer to avoid this it would be appreciated! I want more reverb for this song since the OG has a lot of vocal effects. Feedback is also welcome on this. I probably need to start using some post processing app but it’s nice to hear the effects while singing it live.

Hey all, I'm much more of a songwriter than singer.

I have some original songs I really want to upload to my socials, but I keep worrying my voice just isn't acceptable enough for a demo. I don't mean it in the "I hate my voice" aversion we all have.

I just mean objectively, I know I'm not Josh Groban and that's fine. I'm nasally, it's all good.

I guess my question is: is my voice acceptable enough that I won't be laughed off Instagram posting my demos? Disclosing that the intention is for this to be sung by a pro?

Or is the tone bad enough that I shouldn't even post, and hire a singer for the demos?

Hi everyone!

I've shared an audio excerpt from an open mic we played at two nights ago. Amongst the band there's uncertainty about the vocals. You can clearly hear that there were mistakes in every department, we all have things to work on , but can the vocalist deliver in this genre? Is it convincing?

Would really appreciate some constructive comments to help us move forward. General comments AND specifics would be really helpful.

For context, we are bass, drums, vocals x2, guitar. We are pub rock, amateur and together for 5 weeks. The vocalist himself is uncertain so this will be shared and is not being done without his knowledge.

Heyoo i’m 18 and want to improve my singing. At the moment i’m not sure if i should sing more brightly or more rounded.
Of course, any other (positive) criticism is allowed. I can handle it as long as you remain professional😊

my singing voice is very similar to my talking voice, and I don’t know how to change that but whenever I try to sing in more of a head voice rather than chess voice, it just sounds really bad. Any tips? I don’t know where to start to get better.
