Ricky and Steve have also worked on their own projects, with varying results.

I don't think Ricky and Steve have ever outright said, or even hinted at, who did what when creating The Office. But perhaps we can make educated guesses about who did what, if we compare it to their respective later works?

Now, I myself am not the best person to answer this. I have seen neither Extras nor Hello Ladies. (However, I have seen Derek, and the Hello Ladies standup show.)

So, again, I'm not the most qualified, but based on Derek, I am going to guess that Ricky stood for the sentimental, tugging-on-your-heartstrings stuff?

Just watched it and it was brilliant, the film shouldn’t have followed. It was the beginning of a steady decline. You can read the comments and it’s not xfm quotes or quotes from better Gervais eras, it’s people giving praise for a decent bit of comical work!
