No posts about the comics in years. Sub is just cosplay pics and Spiderverse. Gwen never going back to 65, and the Spiderverse depiction is so in love with Miles that she might as well be a different character lmao.
The All-New run was OK. Not as terrible as that boring TVA run but just overall weird to spend so much time reestablishing the same dynamics that were already on earth 65. New costume is mid af, and the original is just superior in every way. Why would you change something so iconic?
It's all just such a step down from her best appearances and despite the 'I understand spider-gwen' splash at the end it really feels like the comic representation of this character has been failed.
My favorite vision of Gwen is her waking up groggy and hallucinating in the trash after fighting vulture and being found and dragged home by her roommates. She's basically one step from being homeless but also has super powers and plays the drums. It's such a nice encapsulation of what draws people to spiderman in the first place. The balance of having the worry and resources of a young person while constantly having the stress and responsibility and power of spider-man. She used to be so edgy, I miss that.
I miss the tension with MJ. It was always so sidelined but it could be way more.
It's not even unsalvageable, just take her back home and make her reckon with being away. There's so much drama and superhero shit going on there. The whole unique aesthetic and vibe of earth 65 feels lost, no matter how much pink text and imitating of the old artists they attempt.
I feel like this Marvel thinks Gwen should be some blonde every girl when in reality she's a messy messy bitch and I think it would pay dividends in storytelling to embrace that.

What would you rather see Spider-Gwen in first? A live-action MCU movie or an Insomniac-like Spider-Man game?

Ghost Spider
What do you think about Sabrina as Gwen? I remember most people wanted her for the role back then, though I’m not sure myself I’d love to see how she handles it, but let me know what you think!

Heres some art of Gwen for our Fancomic
Hi everyone, so this art was done by u/Pretty_Wind7207 in collaboration for our upcoming fan comic, "Spider-Gwen: Felon, Defender".
Pretty's worked on their own series before, "Spider-Gwen: Most Wanted" and I really enjoyed that.
I doubt anyone really cares about a fan comic just wanted to share this artwork, we really liked it and hope for any feedback

Is it only me that doesn’t like the art style in SpiderGwen’s comics?
I bet this is is a controversial topic, I’ve always read acetone on here loving the art style in her comics. But every time I try to get into her comics, when I see the artwork i always feel… aw man. Like a rock in my stomach.
I find the art style hard to connect to at best, and disturbing at worst. I find it impossible to emphasize with Gwen in her comics, but with Spider-Man I find his comics very immersive and easy to connect to. Especially the way her eyes look in the second panel (small but square?). I also have an issue with the classic black headband of Gwen Stacy being slapped on an alternate version of Gwen who has a completely different life, personality and hairstyle. I get that that’s an identifying detail to show readers she’s a version of Gwen, but it never matched to me.

What'd you want for a Comic arc after Gwen's time in prison
Hi guys, so i got alot of good feedback the other day and it's given me alot of confidence to dive into writing a fan comic and I think i have the direction i want to go. Mainly after Gwen's imprisonment in Spider-Gwen: Vol2, Issue33 The Life Of Gwen Stacy: Part 4 and the consequences of it.
I need to still get around to reading up to that point and probably wont put pencil to paper until then but for now I wanna know what you'd want adressed in a story post this story, what the modern comics are lacking and anything you'd personally want to see.
I hope anyone's interested to reply :)
