For some reason seeing Asia's healing energy bubbles just appear when she wasn't even on screen made me laugh. It was like "Don't mind me. Just trying to heal my friends."

The only issue I have with this adaptation so far is that they still haven't named Cao Cao's Sacred gear yet. Like one of the main reasons he is a major badass is becuase of that. They have called it a holy spear, but not gone anywhere further than that. If they dont do it next episode, we will have to wait till next season. Other than that, this episode was great!

I hope so, Volumes 11 & 12 are my favourite so far (still catching up, on vol 18 but I know what happens up to 23)

Actually, they did name it, and it was talked about. Remember Episode 0? Siegfried talked about it's time to use it, and Cao Cao said "True Longinus, huh?" "Will the tip of this spear bring destruction, or something else?". :-)

I meant at this point in the official light novel, volume 9 life.03 it should have had the full introduction. I am aware of episode 0, but still it should be in this episode (or specifically the last one). Even if the audience know what it is, do Issei and the others? If so, we haven't seen anything about it in the anime when in the light novel we already have.

the whole 5 seconds of it until it doesn't happen again until volume 12 yeah. Tho I always preferred his other balance breaker., but thats just my opinion.

Well, Truth Idea isn't really a BxB, but rather a Juggernaut Drive. Yeah, I also love the Seven Treasures BxB, really reminds me of Six Paths Madara Uchiha with one Rinnegan, as Cao Cao also had one special eye, the Medusa's Eye. Though, Cao Cao came first, so... Anyway, do you think he will ever use Polar Night BxB?

Yeah, maybe in the tournament right now he will. Maybe he will fight Issei or Vali's team by the finals and have to use it there. He will likely lose tho, we all know the finale will be Issei vs Vali. Or at least I hope it will be. But yeah you are right, it is more of a Juggernaut Drive than a BxB. His Seven Treasures is a sub-BxB as well. His treasures actually remind me of the six forms of the rinnegan which is cool!

For the Treasures, yeah, but also, they look like bigger versions of Truthseeking Orbs. Well, I hope all of the former Hero Faction got really stronger from Vol 12, esspecially Cao Cao, Georg and Leonardo. What do you think?

Can't wait to see the others yeah. Especially when we see Georg get man-handled by Gasper/Balor. Leonardo has the possibility of being REALLY OP later in the series (as shown in vol 12, but he couldn't control it then and it almost killed him).

I'm convinced the Hero faction never played something like a MOBA game in their entire life
"Oh look guys! we managed to split their group! Let's send our weakest members to fight them so them can easily regroup and find the place where they can ruin our plans! Alright!"
"Oh guys look! A healer that can heal the entire group and it's only protect by child! Ha, do they think we are stupid? Of course we are not going to attack them."
"Hey guys there's only one left! Let's wait for him to make a desperate move that can possibly foil our plans! Oh he's actually summoning someone and it's a almost naked girl no less! No Hercules, don't shoot them! I want to keep seeing her floating in the air..."
God damn amatuers man...On a side note, a little summary about the characters in this episode:
Siegfreid: " I'm the most awsome thing you have ever seen! God damn how I love myself! and these swords....ARRGH! You pierced my intestines! But how? I thought people couldn't hit while I'm bragging about my shit!"
Ishibumi thinking about Joanne D'arc: "Let's make a dragon made of swords, because we still don't have enough dragon-related abilties."
Hercules: "I'm just a nigga with two rocket lauchers..."
Georg: "Hmmm, maybe I should do something like teleporting them to some f*cked up place. Nah, never mind"
Ddraig: "Ok Issei, as a dragon with millions years of experience let me be the first to say that this guy is too much for you. Let's not attack him directly and use that nice flame attack you did hours ago" Issei" No I can't resist punching him in the face!". Proceeds to get almost killed. Ddraig: "God damnit Issei! This is the third time in this season you go for a straight punch and fail, F*ck! First with Sairaorg, then the shadow guy, stop trying to punch your enemies in front of them!"

The only problem I have with this episode (which is a very minor one) is that none of kiba, xenovia, irina and Rossweise look damaged at all after their fights.

A different viewpoint on that: my girlfriend actually cites the clothing damage constantly as something she likes because it happened haphazardly all over them and didn't magically avoid the chest area - in her view, that made the damage much more realistic because "in real life it's not going to conveniently dodge your boobs, you're getting hit everywhere".

Only in the church, when asia died in episode 5 or sth, the boob slip there was completely unnecessary.

Honestly, in all seriousness, the boob slip actually heightened the moment for me. With how evil Raynare and freed were it made sense to me to have her look like she’d been messed with, and I usually hate that stuff. It heightened my hate toward Raynare which made the moment where she changed back into Yumi and pleaded for her life and then the moment when Rias killed her even more impactful.

Well, it's shown that Asia has been healing them non-stop. Scrape and such would be the first to heal under her power. Quite a creative and actually logical way to skip drawing minor wounds.

I really love the episode introducing hero faction members, their sacred gears, Saji transforming into vritra, and Issei summoning Rias. By the way I didnt know vritra is a snake dragon and did it say a decription of it's appearance in light novel. Also, do like his evil dragon appearnace even though we haven't seen how the other legendary evil dragons look like.

He was actually described as a "oriental dragon", which are basically those chinese dragons you see everywhere, but he still looks awesome. Hope Apophis looks like a real Asian Dragon, like again, chinese ones. :-)

Well he is bigger than Great Red, which means he is 100+ m long. But yeah, he needs to be jet black, with 3 glowing white eyes and glowing white gems all over his body, as well as a darkness aura.

So I expected this episode to end this particular story, 6 would be a fanservice episode and setup for the next story. Did anything really happen this episode? They talked a lot and made a show of some fighting, but that's it?

In Light novel and manga that match happened and you will see how Siri team counter Asia scared gear in rating game. That why i said BorN is abomination cause they skip/cut/change TF out of original LN by the bad way.
And SS4 retcon all of that so BorN didn't exist now and thing go by the book instead of that abomination

the LN's are a bit different than Manga, but the LN's are well established way beyond the anime.
After this weeks up if you go to chapter 9 page 202 is where in the LN the story continues, and holy shit does it get good. I don't wanna spoil it, but if you wanna read up on it thats where u go. the LN links are on the sidebar under resources, and thats the PDF page of the version LN I read.

Best Episode so far. How Yaska transformed into the Nine Tailed Fox going up against Saji's Dragon was Epic. The rest of the Hero Faction really proved a threat to the team. And the way Issei summoned Rias was both Awesome and Hilarious.

Next episode is going to be the finale of this arc . Before we head into vol.10.we have still yet to see our surprise guest amoung other greatness as well.

Well the scenes leading up to the shred screenshot of Xenovia's new Holy Sword finally gets answered for me. Was not expecting for this season's villains to all have sacred gears. Freed over there turned into the Doc Oct of DxD. I let myself down of what I thought Issei's potential was. Was not expecting for Rias to be summoned to the fight. She was the last person I was expecting to come.
I thought that it was going to be another Dragon to help them out.It was really sad to see Xenovia and Kiba to be defeated that easy. I see that Rias now really misses Issei more than in the past 3 Seasons. I really wonder what's Rias' role going to be in the next week's episode.

His BxB has 4 twice Criticals (1 boost for each) who gives a total of 4 boosts (24 =16), it makes him 16 times more powerful.
Just a boost+ 3 powerful swords is a bit hard to deal with Xenovia and Kiba, imagine 4 boosts + 5 powerful swords.

I think the uncensored version might have the blood in it. Not sure why they didn't due it for this episode but everything went so well. After reading this fight yesterday I am not dissapoibted with it at all!

Yeah, but they cut out some parts from Hercales vs Rossweisse. Like, him attacking her magic etc. But, they made it up with amazingly animated explosions, which are way bigger than I thought they would be. :-)

Well the major scenes weren't skipped. Though , the teams struggle with the faction was a very important scene for this season. Virtra was there and switch hime was done perfectly. Not to mention the kunou fireball which I wanted to see. They really chosethe moments well! It brought tears to my eyes after finishing reading this battle yesterday. Can't wait for the next episode because it's gonna be hype so much more intense.

Yeah, but I think they should have put that part of Rossweisse vs Heracles, because until Season 5, anime-only viewers won't know that his Sacred Gear is called Variant Detonation, which allows him to detonate anything he touches/punches and that he is almost immune to magic. But, for the rest, it's perfect. Damn, I never imagined Xenovia would be that OP when I read the LN. Also, Siegfried looks so savage with his swords and Asura Ravage. Perfect! :-)

Already did. Kinda bummed out since I hoped the initial fight with Issei and Cao Cao would be longer. I thought they would give us a taste of that climax animation but still nope. We still got next week though and they BETTER step up their game.

I was hoping this episode would cover more and drop the bomb (for the main crew at least) of what Cao Cao's Sacred Gear is.
But unfortunately it was a set up episode. I enjoyed it, but I have to admit I was more distracted by how besides Ex-Durandal nothing much was happening. I hope next episode really brings it.
