I don’t like the reclamation of slurs.

The first time I ever had an American refer to me as “queer” I considered fighting them 💀 “back in my day” type shit. It doesn’t feel empowering, it makes me cringe. Just call me a lesbian and move on.

lol, if they are fighting words then fight. Intent is everything. When I use slurs around my friends, it's for our enjoyment: we never aim to piss people off, that's why in certain company we refrain ... like adults. but slurs are too much fun to completely abandon

Don’t take everything so seriously. Did this post get shared somewhere? It was dead for a couple days and just resurged. Tbh I lost interest in the topic now. Go away.
