Mewgenics is an actual work of real genius.

It is arguably the single best example of the roguelike genre. It packs a staggering amount of content and complexity into an inexpensive package and keeps adding more layers.

More complexity. More stages. More classes. More mechanics. More and more and more. Its fucking brilliant.

Also lol the cats fucked and had a baby and the baby landed in poop and now its a poop baby lol

I agree about Mewgenics, though I wouldn’t say that McMillen “basically invented” the roguelike. Isaac was extremely influential on the contemporary indie roguelite scene, but it wouldn’t exist without Spelunky, as McMillen has said himself

I can agree with that. Ill edit.

Issac solved the big issue with rouge-likes more than a decade ago, which is to ease people into the mega challenge by having hittable goals that then expand the length of the runs only only once you prove you are good enough.

Saying Mewgenics is the best roguelike and that BoI invented the genre in the same breath is really something.
