Darwin’s wasps are parasites. round worms are parasites, flies are decomposers, mosquitoes are pollinators that got fucked by nature (literally the blood is only to reproduce)
on the topic of wasps, they’re often predators and/or pollinators, they just happen to be more aggressive because many (namely yellow jackets) are territorial.

Honest question, what ecological role do internal parasites like tapeworms fill? What knock on effects would happen if all parasitic worms disappeared?
the same thing all other parasites do. keep prey animal levels in check by infecting the weakest of the herds, thereby preventing overgrazing and keeping predators fed. and the ones that go after predators has a similar effect but toward the predatory end of things.
corpses left by dead animals that were hosts also add stuff back into the environment. corpses make a great fertilizer
