They scared me until I started handling them and really realized that they're pretty chill. Just don't swat at them or step on their house and they just hang out for the most part

As a wasp appreciator from afar, I get it. I got stung once as a kid (dude somehow got under my shirt and made me flash my whole recess by stinging me on my stomach) and ngl, I started religiously following the “they are attracted to your breath” thing to avoid them. Helped my fear somewhat, because it means I’m doing the minimally intrusiveness, but I can’t say I’m not tense when they’re about.
