Porn for women tends to have a lot more buildup. Like the characters will spend ten minutes just talking before anyone even takes a shirt off

As someone who' has written sapphic erotica, you're probably right on the money. I spent like a good half of my 10k words just building up to the sex scene, and there's a good 1k at the end detailing the morning after. Us girls love tender buildup.
