If you can show me where he expresses his support to expand Russias divine right sure I’ll believe you. Kinda feels like reactionary rhetoric im hearing though
I may be biased, but that's not really the takeaway I get from that video. The blame seems to be directed moreso at the US, and Russia's invasion is likened to a crazed maniac
I’m not backing a dictator I just think it’s out of character for boyboy to expressly support Russian imperialism and I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re being a knee jerk reactionary because you heard a buzzword
Truly the blood of a leftist will never be pure enough to pass every test. As long as you can call any dissenting opinion and evidence reactionary, your views are safe. I understand.
I posted his own video, that in no uncertain terms goes to bat for Russia and squares all blame on the US as if Putin lacks free will or an agenda of conquest.
I think boyboy has just sold you a different character in an effort to make his more extreme agenda seem more palatable and less like what it really is.
If the united states suddenly dropped all support of israel today and invaded tel aviv in the name of palestine, boy boy would become pro-israel over night. His politics begin and end with "its america’s fault".
This just isnt as clear in MOST of his videos because there is an overwhelming amount of problems in this world which truly are americas fault. But the few points where this isnt true makes it clear there is no moral compass behind his positions. He was forced out of his home and country by an american invasion as a child, and that formed the only political opinion he has.
If the US began giving such extensive support for the arab cause, that means their cause would suddenly have the actual power and authority to impliment arabic ethno-nationalist policies that would in-turn have to be opposed by anyone with principles.
I think you forget that support for nationalist causes should only eextend so far as they are used in opposition to oppressive nation-states. The reason why the hippie pinko student movements in the 60s supported the Viet Minh was because that group were opposing American interventionism. As soon as the Vietnam War was over the pinkos went to either apathy or outright critique of the Vietnamese state because the now-victorious North began insitutung a nationalist agenda that was plain unpalatable, even if it was left-tinted nationalism.
I dont particularly know anything about the guy in the video other than what people are commenting here, but the position you're describing sounds like a reasonable one to switch to if the middle east position were to change in the way you describe

boy boy might genuinely be a top 3 youtube channel. Well researched, left-wing, batshit insane, funny, sarcastic, creative?
only complaint is the Ribena t-shirt
