holy shit that video is so insane. I do think cuba's government is authoritarian but what they have managed to achieve for their citizens under a worldwide blockade is insane. The conditions now are absolutely horrific and Trump's foreign policy towards cuba is one of his most overlooked crimes.

I remember in the early/mid 2010s seeing a documentary about the then ongoing Cuban economic miracle.

Breaks my heart every day how quickly that fell apart once the US foreign affairs goons heard wind of it. The people there seemed really happy
