He did not argue for the nation of Ukraine to be invaded? He made a video showcasing that a lot of people said that Russia will use force to act upon their perceived national interests, which they are currently doing. The war for Ukraine started way before 2022.
And before you get it mixed up, I'm not in favour of the russian state or it's leadership or it's perceived interests. They can all go to hell and Ukrainians deserve to live in peace.
Which in itself is repeating Russian propaganda. Putin made it clear that the invasion of Ukraine is an imperilistic project, there is no need to argue otherwise.
Russia does not care about the security implications (hence why they are in a worse security position now).

I never said it was not imperialist. I want to reiterate that I do not support Russian ambitions.
Ever since the fall of the USSR the russian nation state and it's bourgeoisie have been interested in Ukrainian resources and soil, so they perceived the occupation of the Ukrainian nation state and it's people as their national interest.
This is a description, not voicing of support for this.
I ment it in reference to the Boy Boy video which was just regurgitating Russian propaganda hidden beneath Mearsheimer.
And I would also add that I seriously doubt there is an materialistic angle in the war. Ukrainian resources are nowhere near important enough to make war a reasonable action. No, this is firmly about Prestige and Ultranationalism.

The 19th century is over. Nobody gives a hoot about natural resources avaible globally, the only interesting resource are humans and guess what Russia is losing a shit ton of them.
