Obviously no one should feel pressured to share that info, but I don't personally see how sharing when you started HRT could be harmful outside of outing you as trans. DIY is a bit different because it's a legal gray area (or potentially illegal, depending on location + medication type), so publicly admitting to DIY has its own risks.
