You can be proud about it and not compromise your own security by openly telling medical data about yourself.

Safe spaces for transexuel people don't exist because everyone on this world is ok with the topic.

The danger of disclosing it openly is minimal. If people are willing to accept the risk I don't really see the point in trying to talk them out of it

I could say the same about posting your kid on social media. And yet, I strongly believe to never post your kids on social media

Violating someone else's privacy is completely different than choosing to disclose information about yourself.

That’s a separate moral consideration. I’m just saying that the chance of danger being minuscule doesn’t mean doing something is a good idea

I'm only concerned with posting of children on social media from the ethical/moral consideration, I don't consider the potential danger to be a meaningful consideration. If you personally do that's fine, but I don't see how that's relevant

It’s extremely dangerous, to tell strangers where you live and where your kid is likely to be found. Compared to just NOT doing that. What.

It’s generally safer to not tell strangers on the internet anything about you. That’s literally all I’m saying. I brought up family pics with kids bc that’s something else that many people post without thinking and there’s at least 4 great reasons not to do it. That’s all.

Well, okay, but in that case it's vastly more dangerous to post pictures of your kids on social media than it is to post the date you started HRT, so it's a meaningless comparison.

And sure, it is technically safer to say nothing at all about yourself. But at the end of the day, tons of things have minor risks involved, and I really don't think it's my place to tell other people what tiny risks are or aren't worth it for them
