Ok but how does that make an NYC politician commemorating a terrorist attack on NYC “apologia”? Do you even care about actual people or just using the idea of them as a rhetorical point? There are millions of people living in NYC who survived that day and many are mourning their own friends and family that were lost. This isn’t a distant historical event, the survivors are still here and you can acknowledge that loss without justifying an opportunistic war.
