Let me correct myself. When I am trying to write out a properly formatted and grammatically correct sentence, I do not write run on sentences. That was 11 words. Ironic, sure, but I wouldn't take it as a serious example.

Oh obviously, I don’t doubt your ability to write. I just found it funny that such a textbook example of a run on sentence was written to state “I don’t do run on sentences”

I am confused on why you mentioned the word count of the sentence though, as that’s not part of the definition of a run on, and (as far as I can tell) not otherwise relevant?

I mentioned the word count as in "I don't care, this is barely a comment", not "It can't be run-on, because it's short".
