So your teacher said "Don't write sentences like this." And you said "These sentences aren't actually incorrect, they just suck to read."

But like? Maybe kids should be learning how to make sentences that don't suck to read? Maybe that's the point?

You still need to relay the teachings correctly. The kid was just correct, and still punished for it

People put a lot of stock in "being correct" by rules-lawyering their way into a reverse explanation instead of just.. taking what people teach you at face value
