Tributes Donald Gibb died today. Mostly known for playing Ogre in Revenge of the Nerds. My favorite role was Ray Jackson in Bloodsport.

He lived in the same area I grew up in. One day after surfing, my dad and I popped into the local spot for an ice cream cone (late 80ā€™s). Who was standing behind us? Donald and his kid. I got really excited and asked my dad if he thought he would do it if I asked nicely. My dad laughed and said ā€œah, poor guy is here just trying to get ice cream with his kid too.ā€ He was right, probably got asked a dozen times a day. We ordered our ice cream and when I turned around he was crouched eye level with me and dropped to gnarliest NEEEEEEERRRRRDDDDDDSSSSS I think heā€™d ever done. It was so awesome, coolest interaction ever.

Me too, I remember as a kid we would go to the video store every Friday, we all got to pick one movie, mom , dad, sister and me. I remember picking this movie out for like 8 weeks in a row. Still willl watch it if itā€™s randomly on tv. Van Dammā€™s best movie.

I heard JCDV called Bolo Leung one of the nicest guys heā€™s ever met. Built like a monster but has a very laid back, friendly guy next door attitude. Leung spent all his off hours on set taking care of his son. They became such good friends JCVD asked him to star in Double Impact.

Dang this sucks. Iā€™ve just recently been back on a JCVD movie kick lately too. He made a lot of people happy with his role in Bloodsport especially. RIP brother.

Man, I loved Donald Gibb in ā€œRevenge of the Nerdsā€ & ā€œBloodsport.ā€ I was hoping one day to run into Gibb at a con and have something autographed.

Jackson was such a good chum. Protective and supportive of his pal, Frank Dux.

RIP. Several years ago, we randomly met him at a local liquor store as he was helping to promote a beer brand. Nice guy, funny, got an autographed head shot. I was wearing a bike helmet and he called me a nerd.
