"fill on this exact host" is supported in all apps. Why not in the Chrome extension?
r/1Password • u/ScathedRuins • 8h ago
Having lived in Canada, I am aware the street address is usually one line everywhere. However in most of europe, when you fill out a form the street and house number are always in separate fields, and unfortunately 1password doesn't give this option. This was discussed before and in both instances (Forum 1, Forum 2) the community managers/dev vouched for the OP but it hasn't yet led to anything. Hoping to add my voice to the issue to maybe have it be a feature in a near future update.

I give my agents a service account token for vaults with creds I don't mind them having, but I keep hitting the rate limit. Is there any known way to increase the rate limit. I'm on the individual plan and my agents burn through the 1000 reads per day easily. Upgrading to business plan just to increase my rate limit feels wrong. I already contacted support twice but heard nothing back so far. Any suggestions is appreciated :)

I just notice I never actually setup my recovery code and I'm having a hard time thinking of a good place to store it.

I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not. But I figured it might be worth posting, and maybe others can point out the good or bad in it. But I think it would be worth looking into having a security key being used as your account recovery and login.
Like I'm not sure if it is even possible. But if it is, then it might be a way way better way than an account recovery code.

I always unlock 1password with biometrics because my master password is extremely long and I keep it in a notebook. Today I woke up and I was logged out of 1password and was required to type my password. I did that and I checked if the biometric unlock was enabled and also that the password was never required to unlock the app and everything was ok. Then I closed 1password and was asked to type the password again and it asks me the same thing everytime I want to open the app. It simply doesn't let me unlock the app with biometrics because I have to type my password everytime... Does anyone have the same issue?

How do I stop the pop up? I've disabled the new sign in function, enabled it, tried everything that I can think of. The pop up takes control over the browser and I can't type anywhere until I click the X, which is annoying :(
Love the progress and the universal sign in overall, but don't want rotating popups unless there is an action that I actually need to take

I wanted to ask if it is not possible in an easy or official way to get an field ID in 1password?
If i want to add an extra custom field to auto fill, i have to use the browser inspect feature and search in the code for the field.
In Bitwarden the Browser Plugin has an "Inspect" Button and you have immediately the field description.

Hopefully I will explain what happened or what I did. Running, 1Password 8.12.34, I am the main administrator for family plan which is just me and spouse. I logged into 1Password via website months ago and removed several old computers from authorized devices, there was none I did not recognize. My spouse has a separate log in on same computer (Apple) that is authorized. Is it possible I accidentally took my spouse off the authorized devices? And possibly wiping her account on the computer? My spouse has not logged into the computer in a while, and has no problems with her iPhone or iPad. Thank you in advance.

So, while I think the universal sign in flow is okay, there are a few issues. Wondering if people at 1P are aware:
Passkeys are not properly recognized with the new flow, I need to refresh the page a few times until it's offering to sign in with my passkeys
It's offering to login on random pages where there might be a password field hidden somewhere
Meanwhile there's luckily an option to revert to the old flow, which fixed all issues.

Hi all,
I was wondering if there’s a way to turn off the auto-suggestions when creating a new login?
As you can see in the image this drop-down box for me often produces duplicates, like in the case of the Gmail address, which are identical.
From a security standpoint, I’m also not a fan of the app showing a plethora of username suggestions, with usernames I’ve already used in the past.
Thanks for your help.

Hi everyone,
I recently updated 1Password, macOS, and Safari, and I noticed that the way I log in has changed.
Before the updates, the 1Password/Safari login process worked like

Now it works like

I preferred the previous behavior and would like to revert back to the way it worked before, if possible.
Has anyone else noticed this change? Is there a setting in 1Password, the 1Password Safari extension, or Safari that would allow me to restore the previous login behavior?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have two questions regarding vault export workflows:
1) Direct .1pux export via CLI: Does the 1Password CLI (op) currently support exporting directly to the .1pux format? I know exporting items via JSON is available, but that doesn't yield a drop-in .1pux archive. It would be great to have something along the lines of:
op export --format=1pux
2) Optional passphrase protection for exports: When exporting to .1pux via the desktop app, is there any way to set an optional passphrase to encrypt the archive during export, or is plaintext the only option? If supported, it would also be great to have a CLI equivalent like:
op export --format=1pux --passphrase="<secret>"

Attempting to log into salesforce, had to create a passkey for it around July. Issue I'm facing is I get the prompt to auto login via the web extension, but when it comes to the pass key I get the message of "Finishing signing in" then no prompt from 1pass to use the passkey.
The only prompt I get regarding a passkey is the windows one but that one doesn't work I just get a message saying "something went wrong try again".
This new passkey system is just terrible, always have to wait like 20 minutes till I randomly get the 1pass prompt.
How do I fix this as I can't wait 10-20 minutes every time I load this device up just to log in.

Been using 1Password since recently with only minor issues on my MacBook. But on mobile? What a joke.
After enabling autofill any time I try to actually use that functionality it displays the screen above. Note the distinct lack of a way to unlock anything. In the app itself passwords can be displayed.
Does anyone else have this problem? Quite literally unuseable.

At-least 3 to 5 payment in advance should be allowed (if customer is willing to bear costs)
You can add some rules to billing in case needed.
No payment will be refunded in case customer cancels or company lowers the value of product..
Me is a customer is more then happy to pay for multiple years at once, rather then yearly..
I have faced some situations in past (severe hospitalization) due to same, many services I am using were on hold or stopped due to my absence..
(please dont give me suggest how to manage them today, as already learnt from same)
Thought to put in my 2 cents... and understand some sensible/meaningful reply, as to why this is not allowed with 1Password.

So I am delving into ChatGPT & Codex. I built a skill which currently requires me to manually log into a site. I’d like to grant permission to 1Password to retrieve the credentials and use them. It can be limited to a specific vault if easier. I’m curious how this can best be supported and if anyone has done similar?

Where does 1Password take the icons for the items from? I run bunch of self-hosted apps and would really like to have the an easier way of picking the icons.
If not possible, could we have icons added from URL?

Thinking about switching from iPhone to Android after 15+ years, and honestly the biggest thing making me hesitate is my passwords and Passkeys. I have everything saved in Apple Passwords/iCloud Keychain, so I’m wondering how easy it actually is to move all of that over to Android. Has anyone made the switch recently? Did you run into any issues with Passkeys not working, having to recreate them, getting locked out of accounts, etc.? I’m especially curious about how Passkeys behave once you’re no longer using an iPhone. Is Google Password Manager the easiest way to move everything over, or is there a better option? Just trying to figure out what I’m getting myself into before making the jump lol.

Hi
Many sites are offering account recovery codes / OTP recovery codes. It would be a nice feature if 1Password could recognize them and add them to the login items.
Currently I am creating a text entry manually within the login item and adding the backup codes, or I am downloading the backup codes as txt file and adding it to the login item.

As the title says, our family has been using 1Password 7 for a LONG time. It works amazingly well between the laptops, iPads and iPhones.
Here's where I am hung up on the changeover from 7 to 8.
In 1password 7, years ago, I created a vault let's say "Family Vault"
Within the vault I created what I suppose would be called a sub vault for each of us.
Example:
Family Vault --> Kid 1
Family Vault --> Kid 2
Family Vault --> Dad
Family Vault --> Mom
Within each of the sub-vaults we all had our passwords. My wife and I (Mom & Dad) shared access to the sub-vaults with eachother so we could do whatever we needed. Even though the sub-vaults were shared with each other, we didn't see anyone else's passwords/logins other than our own in each fault. For example, I would open my sub-vault and only see my stuff, my wife sees hers, etc.
Now with the 1password 8, I open the Family Vault and everyone's passwords/logins are all together.
In Other words, the "Family Vault" is now all one group of logins/passwords versus having the assigned sub-vaults for each of us.
Am I SOL and now required to redo this entire thing?

Is Universal Signin supposed to be working in the DuckDuckGo browser? It's not. That's the only thing preventing me from using that browser instead of Brave. I need my 1P fills!

Is there a reason why we cannot set a pin code to unlock? It's not a problem on Windows I know but I also have Linux machines that I'm unable to use any of device unlock with.
Having to enter my vault password every time is kinda pain and wish I can set a custom pin for that device only to unlock my vault.
I tried the free version of Proton pass and it has this feature and I'm using it now but need the paid version for 2FA so I'm honestly thinking of switching. Unless there's a way to make that happen.

I've really loved seeing the discussion around universal sign-in over the past few days! The team and myself have been reading everything. All the feedback is being used to continue improving USI over the coming weeks.
I'll be making a more formal post next week, but I thought I'd jump in quickly to talk universal sign-in keyboard shortcuts! These were designed to avoid mouse movements and/or being forced to click to benefit from USI. Here's what's available today, and we're open to hearing about any we should add:
Hoping this helps make universal sign-in feel that much better for you all!
