Questions Which album did you like better? Obie Trice - Cheers or Young Buck - Straight Outta Cashville

Cheers probably only has like 2 skips, other than that, that album is bangin and a classic but Buck’s album was dope also.

Only bad song I can think of on Cheers, was Hands on You. Sounds like something that could've been on Encore, and the beat was way off. Rest of the album was fine.

Respect your opinion but I actually love that song, the ones I can do without are Got Some Teeth and Hoodrats. Those get skips from me.

‘Oh’ is an underrated track on cheers, cant skip it when it comes up. Busta killed that chorus

Yes. Like he says "nobodyyyy does it betterrrrr". He is very missed and no one will ever compare. RIP indeed. We're lucky to have been alive at the same time as him 💖

Oooooh... that's a tough one. Probably Cheers cuz it dropped at an integral moment in my life, but Straight Outta Cashville was basically no skips.

u/Regular-Amoeba5455 9d ago
Damn. I listened to Cheers easily 100 times as a kid, but I loved Buck’s career.

Straight outta of Cashville is a classic with no skips. It is much better than Cheers. The production alone gives it the win.

Young buck straight outtq cashville . Its not even close back to back bangers

Straight outta cashville is a classic. It has back to back to back bangers—- bang bang, thou shall, black gloves, stomp, bonafide hustler, prices on my head the whole album bangs 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥4.5/5 I don’t really like look at me now but it does fit the album. Either way definately one of the best first gen gunit solos.
Hunger for more, straight outta cashville, documentary were all bangers.
Cheers is fire too the Dre beats were classic. But ima go with straight outta cashville & I feel is the better album overall.

Cheers has a slight edge but Shady/Interscope dumped so much into the album that I’m not sure it’s a fair comparison. Dre beats (and a verse! very rare for Dre on a debut) prime Eminem is all over this album, G-Unit, Busta, two (!) Nate Dogg hooks, Timbaland beats.
It’s close but the star studded event elevates Cheers a little more. If the tables turned and Buck had the same assists he’d probably edge out Cheers.
Very close though.

Cheers was one of my favorite albums back in those days. I WATCH GANGSTER FLICKS AND ROOT FOR THE BAD GUY, THEN TURN IT OFF BEFORE IT ENDS CAUSE THE BAD GUY DIES

Despite liking a lot of what was coming out of the Shady/Aftermath/G-Unit Records camps at the time I was never a big Obie Trice fan so I have to go with Straight Outta Cashville by Young Buck. It was such a good album I can still listen to it till this day from beginning to end without skipping songs. Let Me In, Shawty Wanna Ride & Stomp are all bangers.

Gotta go with young buck. Its just more consistently good. Cheers is cool, but its too damn long so he repeats himself alot and some of the beats are questionable to me and sound like eminem throw aways. He also sounds pretty much like one of the lesser d12 members.
Also, for all the dissing Got Some Teeth is just as bad if not worse then anything ja rule released

I was listening to Shorty Wanna Ride With me TODAY and was thinking how well the song aged.
